Do you know who has a vintage OOT
Time
I have the 1995 VHS Set, and I remember Lucas said, this is last time to get the originals, and you know what, he wasn't lying.

Accually, it was advertised as "the last chance to own the original version of Star Wars. The George Lucas masterpiece that launched the Star Wars Trilogy." So, that means to me only the first movie. Not ESB and RotJ. So I want them on DVD. At Least That would be a start.

Questions about AOTC
Time
I think Sifo Dyas is Darth Maul. He was on the Jedi council, like Anakin, "working" with Palpatine / Sideous, then during the events of the Phantom Menace, they decided it was time to "reveal themselves to the Jedi. Ordered the clones, transformed to Darth Maul, got a cool looking face tattoo so no-one would recognise him and there ya go!

That is answered in the book Labyrinth of Evil

What does the book say? I'm not into EU.

EU books: A funny Lucas contradiction
Time
I think the rain during that scene is for "atmosphere". Notice the lightning in the background. This is another "homage" to another movie called Frankenstein! (Did I spell that right?)

As far as "the entire planet is one big city" thing goes, maybe some of you are taking it to literal. Maybe it means, "the entire planet, except for the oceans, is one big city".

SFX details you never knew were in the OT until you saw them on DVD?
Time
What I don't understand is why do the movies look so different this time. I mean, how many times have they been released? I know only on VHS & Laserdisc. But they claimed to be restored, remastered with a new digital transfer etc. etc. Why was the look of the films not altered with any of those releases? Why just the DVD's? It makes no sense.

Who hear thinks Jedi would have been more dramatic if Han Solo died?
Time
If someone was going to be killed off, it would have to happen near the beginning of the movie. It then would have left the audience in more suspence after seeing a major character get killed early, they would be wondering what else might happen before the end. We all know that the rebels are going to win, but at what cost? If Lando died leaving the Death Star, I think it would have ruined the moment. The Emperor is gone, Darth is dead, the Death Star is blowing up!! Hurrayy! Oh shit, Lando just died. Not to mention the fastest ship just blew up too. What a killjoy.
