I’m sure he would consider it, what the real problem with that is, he wants to finish this trilogy. He’s trying to get ROTJ:R up and running, and he probably doesn’t want to waste more time with ANHR:SE, that’s going backwards, of course, this is only my opinion, not his.

These ideas seem to be going way beyond what Ady’s goals are.

QUICK SOMEONE STEAL RONSTER’S KEYS

Got on the wrong train and missed the one i was meant to be on.

Gonna post it in the wish list.

Edit: will create a Star Wars Wish list as there is no wishlist for this film…

In some shots (like one or two?) when Han and Leia are arguing and when they first hear the Dianoga, her belt seems to be slipping down her leg (at least that was what it looked like when I saw it yesterday on the big screen, it could have just been trash I guess).

The Mos Eisley entrance in Revisited is far better than the SE version, but there are still quite a few goofy looking cg droids and creatures in the background. It would be really cool if this could be addressed, perhaps keying in some filmed extras in their place?

I’m also wondering if Ady has thought about reverting the scene where Han chases the stormtroopers down a corridor in the Death Star and encounters a group of them to the theatrical version? The SE version definitely amps up the absurdity but perhaps too much so.

I would hope he fixes the reflection under the troopers as its still a wall…

Agreed. Would love the Rontos to be gone in general. And the search droid going door to door. And the Dewbacks. I would just leave the far dewbacks in the ‘look sir, droids’ sequence that replaces the original. But all of them nearer the camera are goofy ones. The one right by the Cantina switches from CGI to original, among various shots in both the SE and Revisited.

I think having more troopers tones down the absurdity in a way. The humor in the original version is “Wait a minute. You’re not the one who chases us. We’re supposed to be chasing you. That’s ridiculous”. In the SE, it’s now just, “Aha, reinforcements! The tables have turned!”.

Exactly, it kills the gag and that’s no bueno.

That’s not a bad thing, is it?

Personally I don’t mind it. It kills the gag, yes, but it creates a new gag. I prefer the original, but then I again that’s why I have the original. Don’t mind the change for a “special edition.”

It is absolutely a bad thing to remove the gag.

As long as you can still view the original off course 😉

Thank you Harmy and OT.com!! 😄

I may be in the minority, but I much prefer the special edition version of that moment; not that the original is bad.

I just want to know why a whole hangar full of troops is just waiting in the wings there. What were they doing?

Yeah, that’s basically my only issue with the change.

It was the 70’s, they were probably smoking reefer.
