A good idea that, mate. Nicely done, too. It may hopefully help stop the usual threads from getting clogged up with seemingly endless ‘link request’ posts and ‘where do I get the links?’ type of annoying queries from newly joined members on here…
Unfortunately not many newer members take the time to read any of the following:-

As has always been the case here… a little patience and taking the time to look around and learn about how this place works - and how it doesn’t work… is key. A real pity that so few choose to do that - and become valued members of the community.
Instead, many would rather just make endless and unnecessary ‘request posts’ for links… and little-to-nothing else. This, despite them often claiming they’d love to see ‘project X’, or having been a lifelong fan, have ‘waited years to see something like this’, and ‘would be so grateful to see’ it etc… yet not bother to post a ‘thank you’, or leave feedback, or a review, nor join in the conversations on the actual project or content itself.
Although it is worth remembering some people who come here unfortunately only do for the ‘free stuff’ - looking only to take… yet giving nothing back. They are often not shy about it either - whether bringing impatience, entitlement, wilful ignorance, toxicity, or abuse - or even frustration there isn’t a big red button on here that says ‘download here’. Whilst others bring a time limited sob-story why they must immediately be given a project link - or those who feign ‘confusion’ in an attempt to just be given project links. Or others with the expectation of having others on here to go out of their way and acquire projects for them - even in a specific file format, size, or even only wanting a download link from a specific platform etc!
^ The ‘I want a download link like this - and will not bother to even attempt to learn how things work on here - nor learn to do anything myself. Nor will I say thank you, leave feedback, or a review, or join in a discussion on here… and how dare you expect me to read and follow your rules and guidelines which have kept your community going for 15 years’ type of twit… we unfortunately are now seeing all too often.
Sometimes, I’m at a loss why fan project creators give out their projects to lazy, demanding, and entitled people like that.
Fellow members are always more likely to help anyone out if you are a participating member of the community; you don’t have to be a fellow fan editor, preservationist, tech wiz, artistic or skilled etc… just a member that has made, or is making, an effort.
That is my rant on it over. 😉
2024 Edit…
In hindsight, I really wish I’d have been more ‘hands-on’ in addressing the endless and unnecessary ‘request posts’ for links when I was a moderator on here (including deleting ‘link request’ posts from people who posted little-to-nothing else). Not doing so resulted in the stifling of decent and engaging discussions that had previously taken place on here about the actual projects themselves… whether feedback, reviews, queries, technical, ideas, or recommendations. Or just some good fun posts. Bugger.
I really should have asked Jay to pin something like this up in all four ‘Fan Project’ forums - for everyone to easily see & read…

^ …and also being something useful to point newer members / the constant ‘link request’ posters to… for those of us who are frustrated with all the unnecessary ‘link request’ posts that clutter up the project threads.
