President Donald Trump has decided to end the Obama-era program that grants work permits to undocumented immigrants who arrived in the country as children, according to two sources familiar with his thinking. Senior White House aides huddled Sunday afternoon to discuss the rollout of a decision likely to ignite a political firestorm — and fulfill one of the president’s core campaign promises.
Trump has wrestled for months with whether to do away with the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA. He has faced strong warnings from members of his own party not to scrap the program and struggled with his own misgivings about targeting minors for deportation.
Conversations with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who argued that Congress — rather than the executive branch — is responsible for writing immigration law, helped persuade the president to terminate the program, the two sources said, though White House aides caution that — as with everything in the Trump White House — nothing is set in stone until an official announcement has been made.
In a nod to reservations held by many lawmakers, the White House plans to delay the enforcement of the president’s decision for six months, giving Congress a window to act, according to one White House official. But a senior White House aide said that chief of staff John Kelly, who has been running the West Wing policy process on the issue, “thinks Congress should’ve gotten its act together a lot longer ago.”
Trump is expected to announce his decision on Tuesday, and the White House informed House Speaker Paul Ryan of the president’s decision on Sunday morning, according to a source close to the administration. Ryan had said during a radio interview on Friday that he didn’t think the president should terminate DACA, and that Congress should act on the issue.
Your Mileage May Vary.

I’ve fixed the titles (I’ll never understand why people use the numbers only for I-II-III whereas V-VI-VII have one since their original theatrical release…).
No you didn’t. The official legal names are Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That’s how they are officially registered. The episode numbers for the prequels is a Lucas thing.
Why do you bar me from doing this?

No, just my countdown threads.
Rules are meant to be broken, and I will break this rule.
There is no queue; that’s not how it works.
That was a different forum software than the one on the repository I linked to.
It might have been funny if it came from anybody other than a police officer.

Unfortunately, the H-bomb kills all:
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Sunday it has developed an advanced hydrogen bomb that possesses “great destructive power” as U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe talked by phone about the “escalating” nuclear crisis.
The report by North Korea’s official KCNA news agency comes amid heightened regional tension following Pyongyang’s two tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) in July that potentially could fly about 10,000 km (6,200 miles), putting many parts of the mainland United States within range.
Under third-generation leader Kim Jong Un, North Korea has been pursuing a nuclear device small and light enough to fit on a long-range ballistic missile, without affecting its range and making it capable of surviving re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.
North Korea, which carries out its nuclear and missile programs in defiance of UN Security Council resolutions and sanctions, “recently succeeded” in making a more advanced hydrogen bomb, KCNA said.
“The H-bomb, the explosive power of which is adjustable from tens kiloton to hundreds kiloton, is a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack according to strategic goals,” KCNA said.
“All components of the H-bomb were homemade and all the processes … were put on the Juche basis, thus enabling the country to produce powerful nuclear weapons as many as it wants,” KCNA quoted Kim as saying.
Juche is North Korea’s homegrown ideology of self-reliance that is a mix of Marxism and extreme nationalism preached by state founder Kim Il Sung, the current leader’s grandfather. It says its weapons programs are needed to counter U.S. aggression.
Kim Jong Un, who visited the country’s nuclear weapons institute, “watched an H-bomb to be loaded into new ICBM” and “set forth tasks to be fulfilled in the research into nukes,” KCNA said.
You forgot the rest of the quote that revealed it wasn’t likely an actual H-bomb.
Whoops. Sorry, that was not intentional. It’s been fixed.
So I am barred from posting a countdown in any sort of countdown thread?

Click on this.
In the interest of completeness, it must be included.

Says the guy who doesn’t like cats.
Cats are cute. I just don’t like being around them.
In fact, I might tolerate cats better than dogs. I don’t like when the dogs bark at me, even though that’s all they know how to do to express their ecstasy at seeing a human.
But I don’t really like pets.

Searching through the forum software’s code repository, there seem to be references to an ignore feature, like the phrase “User has you on their ignore list, so you can’t invite them to a private topic,” but the last changes were two years ago, so I’m not sure if we can glean to much from that. In order to find out, we would have to summon the Jay.
