Maybe just get two batteries?

... I think hot.like.C3PX is back!
That's what I heard, too... but his recent comments in the Politics thread have me scratching my head.
Oh... you said he's back.
nvm.

I don't like it either. It just makes it clearer for most people.
Hmmm... sort of like Star Wars vs Star Wars '77 vs Star Wars (the first one) vs Star Wars (the original one) vs A New Hope vs Star Wars A New Hope, etc..

The sub-200 tablets are pretty crappy. The screens usually aren't the nice kind of touch screen (you know, the ones you have to PUSH instead of the ones you can just tap on, which makes Android a nightmare to navigate), the hardware is usually slow, and little to no support for updates to the OS.
I mean, the Motorola Xoom is incredible, but its price makes the iPad look like affordable. Doesn't stop me from wanting one. I'm getting an iPad 2 here at work next week, I'll let you know how I like it.

This Coby one is getting strangely high marks. I don't think I've ever owned any Coby stuff, but their cutthroat prices and usually poor reviews have formed the opinion in my mind that they are just junk.
It has the "resistant" screen of which you wrote, and it's only 480p... but people seem to still like it for $130.
And it's easily rootable, which I think means you can update it to whatever Android OS is latest, right?
Erm... thanks.

The Most Useful Movie Quotes thread isn't taking off like I am hoping. C'mon guys, it's the best thread on these boards!
Sorry, Boost. Frink closed this thread.
I don't know if it was for the love of money, exactly... I just couldn't stand the idea that it would "go nowhere" once I reached my glass villa account ceiling.
That's like throwing away food!
I keep seeing these sub $200 Android tablets for sale. Are those any good?
What if I said I wanted something like an iPad, but without iTunes and something where I can put *shock* whatever I want on it?

Will I have my hundreds of thousands of Florins? Cause I've run out of crap to buy and the money keeps coming in.
You only have hundreds of thousands? Pffft....
Yeah, it's another pickle. If you played like me, then you prioritized your (virtual) economy and bought every money making thing you could as soon as you could. You always had no money for the first part of the game, but then eventually you get over the hump and have more money than you know what to do with.
I imagine there are other players who hardly ever spend their money, trying to gain money by saving it (wha???) and therefore don't own any investments. Everything they buy, even late in the game, is expensive and they have to think about money all of the time.
I'm not sure how they could have done it differently so that both play styles could have been fulfilling. Making both play styles possible seems to make both of them broken. *shrug*
To answer your question, the good news (I think) is that you do get to start all over. New wallet, new economy, new things to buy.
To perhaps answer some other questions: there is no save-game based carry-over to ACB. If you never played ACII, you would start with the same story-based carry-over as everyone else. Just like Metroid, you have all of the last game's gear for about 20 minutes and then you start at the bottom to work your way up again.
It's kind of a silly game trope, but I'm not sure that they can do much else.
(Do you go back and get the money from the Villa even though you know there's nothing left to buy? I did. I couldn't help myself.)
Actually, you have about half of your hard earned gear from ACII. The other half you get back and then some.
^Metroid.

I repeated something already in the thread?
*facepalm*
Well... it was a repeat of the meme without an explanation or origin, so I think you're okay. Mostly.
Actually, Slugoo might have started this one: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/The-EditDroid-Trilogy-DVD-Info-and-Feedback-Thread/post/270545/#TopicPost270545
???
Sure, it doesn't have a pic followed by someone yelling WRONG PICTURE! but it's still got the first part!

Bingo can...I can't remember the source, but it wasn't that long ago.
...
OT.com meme: luke sad pic/I care/WRONG PICTURE
I believe xhonzi started this one, just saying "I care" in response to someone posting "no one cares" or "who cares." I couldn't find the relevant picture so I just used the one of sad Luke being consoled by Leia after Ben died, which led to a brief "WRONG PICTURE" debate IIRC.

This one is a personal fave. Though I have to say that yelling "WRONG PICUTRE!" is probably the best part.
Fair enough.
This might sound argumentative, but I don't mean it that way.
My conclusion is that the PT (as it exists) is so broken that there's nothing that can be done with it to fix it. So I turn to Mulligans. They might be difficult impossible to pull off, but they are our only hope. ;)
That being said, I have picked out the hat I hope to eat whenever Adywan gets around to the PT. If anyone can make the drastic alterations required to save that pile of poop- he can.
(And I look forward to The Ridiculous Menace and not remembering what's old and ridiculous vs what's new and ridiculous).

So I unlocked Altair's armor in AC2 last night. That was all I really wanted, so I feel like I've beaten the game already.
It's that old chestnut: How do you dangle a carrot in front of the gamer for the whole game whilst giving him time to enjoy the carrot before the game is over?
I'm glad you got the armour- it was indeed a compelling aspect of the game. Sorry it's defocused you. I hope you stick it out and find something else exciting to do, like collect 1,000 flags or something.
I would recommend picking up ACB as soon as you can because it does directly follow on the story of ACII and I think you'll remember the story/characters better. Unless you're experiencing any kind of genre fatigue, then in that case you'd be better off waiting.
[BIG NO!]
But how does he fit that in when he's teaching Street Hip Hop on Wednesdays?

I do like the idea of the 451236 order, as a sort of... well, it's the best we can do.
As for plans like Bingo's & Ady's... I'll believe it when I see it. So please, I'd love to see it!
:(
Did no one read my missive? Or was it simply not on-topic since it wasn't about fan edits of the existing footage?
Soo... the result of all of this research is:
OT is da bomb!
PT is t3h suXX0rs!
Did I read that correctly?
Would you all mind moving the "Frink VS Sky" content to another thread?
That would be swell.
YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO CHECK ALL 3,000 PEOPLE's NAMES IN THE CREDITS TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE ALL WHITE!
And therefore YOU DON'T KNOW HOW FEW GAMES I ACTUALLY PLAY!
Hmmmm... which was the last one? I tend to go to a lot of niece/nephew choir concerts and whatnot. I went to a fairly nice one downtown just before Christmas... that might have been the last one.
I think the last play I saw was the first half of "Cats". My office went for the Christmas party 16 months ago... I was the only one who had already seen it and I tried to warn everyone off of it. A few of my friends, my wife, and I sneaked out at intermission and went to go get appetizers.
I also saw a youth-theatre production of "Into the Woods" around the same time. -Can't remember which was first.
