On a brighter note- we put our Netflix account on hold for 3 months so we could catch up on some of the other things we've been wanting to do (read books, cure cancer, solve world hunger, and watch the new fall TV season) and we've been watching some movies that we had in shrink wrap on the shelf.

One of these that I could never convince my wife to watch with me before was the Gods Must be Crazy doublefeature.  I hadn't seen these movies in a decade and a half, and I've found that the memory cheats, and some of the movies I liked when I was younger are just plain stupid.

Both movies start out a little dry, but if you give them 10 to 15 minutes, they really kick into gear.  It's a very unique sense of humour- I haven't laughed that hard in a couple months.

I found the movie to insult my intelligence anywhere possible and while I found Spurlock charming... I found him to be somewhat of a shyster.

It's been a couple of years since I last saw it, but if I recall- the first McDonalds lunch he has causes him to projectile vomit all over the parking lot.  I guess maybe the movie should have had a "results not typical" disclaimer on it, like other diet products, because I've had lunch at McDonalds.  I've probably had 100 lunches at McDonalds.  And never have I, or anyone I've ever seen at a McDonalds, puked like that after lunch.

Maybe if that was his 10th lunch (breakfast, dinner, etc...) there in a row...

I also watched some of his 30 Days show.  I saw the "minimum wage" one- I can't remember if I saw any others.  It was about as scientific as a Sprite vs 7-Up taste test put on by Sprite where everything is clearly labeled and you get a free 24 pack if you say you prefer Sprite.  He set out with an agenda, and he was in full control of the experiment, and- SURPRISE! it proved everything he thought before- no couple could possibly get by with 2 minimum wage incomes.

Despite the fact that lots of families in America get by on 1 or 2 minimum wage incomes.

We'll i'm making it official, I work for LFL, and yes the secret mistakes are actually on purpose factual efforts of inconsistent logic meant to be a semi-transparent attempt to coerce and cajole the inspiration declaration that the deliberate creative choices were in essence a matter of perspective ipsofacto viewed from the points of view of the mistakes actually makes it the correct deliberate creative mistake and when viewed conversely can only be proclaimed as the correct viewing parameters in which any and all Star Wars features should be viewed in.  Now yes, i'm not going on record so quoting me is pointless, especially as in two to three minutes i'll edit this post to make sure that this mistake to end all mistakes will only be remembered by the few page cache's who got here at the right time.  But that aside, THIS mistakeful proclamation which confirms the speculation that secretly your opinion matches those of yous who believe that Yes fixed does mean fixed when describing the mistakeful definition of deliberate creative decision making but only up to the point that the other's opinion differ so yeah who knows.  Funny story, but Who does know and he agrees with the second sentence of this mistakeful proclamation, and finds the first statement to be true, from a certain mistakeful view.  So as a fool, reread the second sentences second and the first sentence third, then follow back around and prove to yourself that they actually do know.  And please don't clutter with facts, that's just disgraceful.  So to recap, kenkraly2007 will the blu-ray's be not not fixed?

Don't worry guys!  I quoted him so we'll never lose this oh-so-valuable quote from a no-kidding LFL employee!  Wiggle out of that one, will you!

But "ipso-facto"?  Is this an artistic explanation or a legal one?

2011 is the 20th Anniversary of Heir to the Empire.

I'm looking forward to re-reading Jedi Academy.  It didn't take long for me to bemoan KJA taking over the Bantam novel line and retreat into the DH comics.  And then when he started writing the DH comics, I pretty much just gave up.  But I did think that Jedi Academy was the best of what he wrote.  (Actually, the YJK series was surprisingly good.  Maybe that was his wife's fault?)  But regardless of how I felt about Jedi Academy at the time, I'm still pretty sure it's better than the Prequels.  I'm not sure that that's a solid argument for anyone wanting to read it, though...
