That's exactly right. Song of the South is going first, and when it is finished, American Graffiti will go next. The way I prioritized it is American Graffiti has a BD and a DVD, Song of the South does not. :)

BTW, off topic a bit, does anyone know what the donation rules are here? I know that one preservation project is taking donations, but I wonder what the legality of it is...

Yeah, that might be a good idea, in case Harmy decides later to go "George Lucas" on us and start re-specializing the de-specialized edition - then we can make some laserdisc transfers of what it used to be like!

True, but there is some great custom firmware for it. That said, it is still not the best media player - all of them have different pros and cons.

I disagree (somewhat). The prequels are garbage, but that garbage should be preserved. Think about how George views the OT - they are garbage and everyone should see the "new" version. He basically did the same thing with the PT - everyone should see the "new" version and forget the old existed. I think Harmy should go ahead, but that it shouldn't detract from time spent on ESB and ROTJ... :)

Wow. I know it was last minute, but in the future, could we do an "audio-only" stream? My internet is just not up to par, I guess - I can only hear about 5 sec. of audio at a time before it buffers...

Yeah, I had forgotten whether it was DNRed or grainy. I can tell you that the 16mm I have is not grainy, and there is loads of detail in the shadows - no crushed blacks.

Not to drag this too far off topic, but wasn't the BD pretty crushed as far as blacks and heavily DNRed?

That someone with the AG scope would be me - I'm still working on getting it transferred! :)

Oh, sorry, I just realized I said camera in that initial post. I meant projector. The camera would then be going 30fps while the projector would be doing a shutterless 24fps...

I knew what you meant - I just don't have a way to slow down the projector (yet).

Hmmmm... I may have to try that this weekend. I don't think I can slow down the camera, but I can probably hook up the LED and use a regular digital camera (30fps) shooting video as a test to see how that would work...

Would we be able to remove the shutter blades that don't cover the pulldown (leaving one remaining) and use a constant light source, and video that with an HD video camera?

Started modding the projectors - still can't get the projector to do 1fps. I'm getting a new dc motor soon...
