Y'all have convinced me. I'm going to give Blade Runner another pass or two.

(covers head anticipating shitstorm over joke)
I can't wait to do this thread in 3-D.
Capt. Frink, was Stripes ever considered a great movie? Not trying to be contentious, just curious. Not that threads ever stray or anything. :D
I find this funny for some reason:
Random Thoughts
pages: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...7
LOL, lucky that the software skipped over all of those pages between five and seven. There might have been some extraneous clutter there otherwise.
Yeah, Blade Runner was rather meh to me. I was extremely bored with Saving Private Ryan after the truly outstanding Normandy sequence in the beginning. Second-hand exposure to Citizen Kane ruined it for me.
More as I think of them.
You can't hint in a survey unless you're an NBC poll! I call shenanigans!

Though I am in your boat when it comes to Lucas and the SW franchise, how could Michael Bay ruin the Transformers franchise when there was no body of work to compare it to? The 1980's cartoon (along with its movie) are apples compared to Michael Bay's Transformers oranges. You can't ruin something that wasn't good to begin with.
The final score: New Orleans Saints 31, Indianapolis Colts 17. Good night OT.com, and drive home safely.
It's 44 seconds from official now. A couple of kneel-downs should do it.
Hey, someone other than me stopping in. How are ya, DS? I'd offer you a drink, but I'm all out of everything.
Two minutes, twwwwwwooooo minutes!

What I just wrote has been dramatically overturned. Your 2009 NFL champions - the New Orleans Saints!
And I guess we can put all of this "Payton Manning: Football God" talk to rest now.
It should be noted that the Saints defense, which has been regarded as a team that gives up big plays and relies on forcing turnovers to win, has forced zero turnovers, produced no sacks, and held the world-famous Indianapolis Colts offense to 17 points through 56 minutes and change. Outstanding job.
And there has never been a Super Bowl overtime game. It might happen today, though.

Brees for MVP as of right now. He's been on fire. Will the 2PT conversion be challenged?!? EDIT: It was! AND THE CALL ON THE FIELD WAS OVERTURNED!!!11!!1!11!
IND FGA - no good from 51 yards!
Still 17-16, Indy.
There was all this talk about the Saints planning to hammer Payton Manning in this game - he hasn't been sacked or hurried. He's barely been touched. Maybe the Indy O-line is the collective MVP.
4th Quarter!!!

Joseph Addai with the TD and the MVP of this Super Bowl so far. He has stood out the most tonight.
Feel free. I'd probably enjoy that.

Screen pass Pierre Thomas! Half started with an onside kick. Payton Manning hasn't taken a snap since 2007. That's how long the Saints have held the ball; I was counting.
I'm saying, DS was thinking of the word EFREEEEEEEEDOOOOM when he posted that. But I can't read, so I don't know what your response was nor what my reply was. I only hope these randomly-placed letters will convey what I was trying to say.

FREEEEEEEDOOOOM has an E on the end.
Not true. FREEEEEEEEDOOOOM has a M on the end. I suspect you are talking about FREEEEEEDOOOOOME.
He could have meant the other end, as in EFREEEEEEEEDOOOOM.
I'm listening to Leo Kottke right now, but the stage area looks utterly fantastic.
