for some unknown reason, it became:
OUT- Original Unaltered Trilogy I guess. That's funny. OUT is a word. The opposite of IN. So I don't like it. OOT is better. Kinda like the sound an owl makes, but at least it's not a real word. Why did you dummies decide to change OOT to OUT anyway?
Then we now have GOUT. Ain't that a disease or something? What the hell does the G stand for? George? STOP CHANGING THE ABBREVIATIONS! Whoever's idea that was is worse than Mr. Lucas with the constant changing. At least I (and I know I'm in the minority on this website) like George's changes.
I'm officially changing PT and OT to T1 and T2. Trilogy 1 (it comes first) and Trilogy 2. Copyright 2006 MarioXB. The End. Or not.

Your whole post isn't even on topic and to top that off you call us a bunch of dummies...nice.

but the frame you posted showing the excess film grain looks suspect to me because its so uniform...almost like a brush or effect one would use in Photoshop...
Your thoughts?

No it's not progress....thank you for putting it in so clear of terms.....the grain is somewhat excessive, to my untrained eye, and does make the picture look dirty...
and to me it distracts from the movie...
Thank you mike for your wisdom and the time you take in trying to teach us something......I for one have learned a lot from you.

From where or from whom did you get that impression, exactly?

Is this Vader from "ROTJ" or "Coneheads"? Anybody else see the conehead? Look closely at where
both heads are orientated in the frame...They look to be occupying the same space in the frame, it's just
the GOUT Vader seems to be stretched out a bit.
My capture hasn't been resized, it's in PAL resolution - so on a computer monitor it will look "stretched"... as I see Zion caught onto "Keep in mind that PAL has more vertical resolution, which would make the frame appear stretched on your computer." The image at top is Boris Capture and the image on the bottom is from the X0 website....

What I'm looking at is the proportions of his head...it just doesn't look right, to me it looks stretched out...
It may be nothing but I don't recall Vader's head
being that mis-shapened, even with him moving around....

Where have you been? The Star Wars Lego game has been out for years....the demo that is included with the GOUT is the second
installment of the Star Wars Lego game.

What a shame though....this whole situation with the GOUT. GL really blew a golden opportunity to be a hero to fans of all ages
if he only done the right thing....Can you imagine how much respect he would have gained if the GOUT had SURPASSED all expectations
and blew us all away with the best possible capture, released in anamorphic, perfect color balance, awesome sound, totally restored frames with zero dropouts....
Aw wait a moment, I forgot.....I just described the X0T didn't I?....never mind Georgie......hehehehehe.....

When I was nine, GL was a hero of mine, now he's just a rich old man with a huge goutier growing out from what used to be his neck.
Thank goodness we have the X0 releases to look foward to......no pressure though(MeBeJedi)

I just didn't remember seeing anything about being able to buy the SE's by themselves back a year ago......
I guess it is possible that Best Buy and other retailers got stuck with loads of inventory and with permission or not,
broke up the boxed set in order to get rid of them.....
ESHBG, the description from one of the sellers on Amazon says this about the ANH DVD...
First class shipping. New but without shrinkwrap. This DVD comes from a box set. Free priority shipping upgrade on all orders of 3 items or more. We only deal with original U.S. releases and original ...
Anyway I agree GL is a degenerate human being and NOTHING would ever surprise me about him....

Now I was only 9 years old when I saw Star Wars for the first time but I don't seem to remember the opening
crawl look like that. To me that looks horrible. I hope and pray that the X0 version doesn't have it in its crawl...
Do you guys really think GL wanted the crawl to look like that orginally? I can't believe he did....

Says you....If you like to zoom in on 4:3 material then good luck with that, however most people I know would rather watch it in it's native resolution, which is the lesser of two evils to be sure.
And yes you are correct that the images have been resized somewhat, however mark my words the zoomed imaged on your TV screen,(and on my 56" HD 16:9 WS) will look worse. Just wait and see.

How's that? Don't you understand that on your widescreen TV the Offical OOT won't be anything like the screen captures in this thread? It's going to be this tiny litttle movie in a sea of black, of course you could zoom in which always looks like shit, but to each his own....
I know this, that the screen caps in this thread of the OOT were not zoomed in on, so if you do this on your own TV it will look worse than it does here....
