Well i have just tested my original iso and it does come up with the layer break option. Also unpacked the rar files i posted and again fine. Now here's the strange thing. I downloaded the set from a.b.starwars and unpacked the iso and its a different size to my original iso. Also the layer break is now in a different place. It should be on cell 28 but this one is now on cell 27 which completely screws up the iso. How the hell can this happen? all i did was rar up the NTSC Iso and upload it. There should be no way the files would be different. I'm working on a fix now.
sO please, until the fix is done DO NOT post the NTSC DVD-9 to torrents or anywhere else. Thanks
oh and Imgburn is included. It is in the DVD-ROM folder
Ok Here's the fix:
Download pgcedit HERE
Mount the NTSC ISO in daemontools (or any other image mounting program)
Create a folder on your hard drive called "Star Wars Revisited NTSC"
Drag all the contents of the iso from the mounted image to this folder
Open Pgcedit and click on "open DVD" and select the VIDEO_TS folder in the newly created folder on your drive
It will scan the files and once this is finished click on "close" in the "find BOVs"pop up box
In the left hand side pane you will see a list. Scroll down until you get to "VTST 51, TTN 1 (2:07:35) and double click on this line.
A new box opens. scroll until you get to "27". you will see that it does not have a tick by it in the box on that line. tick the box and then click "OK"
Now goto "File>BURN DVD/CREATE ISO"
a pop up box will ask you if you want to save the DVD. Click "YES" then OK
in the next box make sure that the DL media type is set to "Double layer DVD+R"Set the destination for the new ISO
now click ok and a pop up box will say there are extra files (DVD-ROM) and do you want to burn them as well. click "YES" "and a new box will appear to set the layer break
Cell 28 should be highlighted. you don't have to do anything here. Just click yes and the new ISO will be created
Then burn the new iso with Imgburn

I checked through the last few weeks of postings, and don't see much detail about the burning process, though it seems to be a bit unconventional...
I downloaded the NTSC DVD-9 from Usenet, and the NFO file says that ImgBurn is included in the RAR (it's not), and to specifically to use this program to burn the disc. I downloaded the latest version of ImgBurn (2.4.1.0) to do the job. When I tried to burn the ISO file, I got the following message:
"Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found! (VTS_51)
This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a double layer (OTP Track Path) disc.
None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specification' criteria for a potential layer break position.
Do you want to continue anyway?"
I said yes, and it started to burn. I was never prompted with a checkbox about the layer break as the NFO describes. The thing burned all the way through with no error messages, but the result was a coaster which is not even recognizable in the drive. Can anyone shed any light?

Hey Ady,
I followed your insrtuctions to fix and then create a new NTSC iso, as outlined above, tried to burn the new iso with imgburn but its giving an error,
"03:52:56 DeviceIoControl(IOCTL_STORAGE_MCN_CONTROL) Failed! - Media change notification has NOT been disabled.
The error stops the burn. There is a button to click on that says "VOBU/ECC search"
I clicked on that and the burn progressed but with the error,
" User has ignored layer break options and instead reverted to VOBU/ECC search!"
Also, FYI I had the box labeled "Don't update IFO/BUP files" checked marked as well.....

Just google "indiana jones and the saucer men from mars"....it was thought it was a rumor that it was GL idea for the movie's script but that Spielberg and Harrison Ford didn't like it....but knowing what we know of the movie's plot it looks like George finally got his way, at least to some degree....this movie will suck. Trust me, George Lucas will see to it...

My family is facing dire financial hardships right now. My dad's been having foot and knee problems, and has acquired a pulmonary embolism at that! He can't walk more than a block without hyperventilating, so his job is out of the question right now. My mom's job pays the bills, but that's ALL it does. We're literally living off of food stamps; that's how we get our perishables.
So basically, my life is totally screwed up at the moment.
That's why I can't buy a DVD-DL burner, or a DVD/CD printer.
God, am I looking forward to my summer job. Gotta get me some dough!

Please don't take this personally, you're not the only one, but why not spend $30 and buy one. Seriously I don't understand why that is such a problem.

I'm probably gonna sound like a moocher, 'cause I don't know how to PIF, but could someone mail me a copy of the DVD-9 with Adywan's exquisite DVD artwork and disc-art once it's released? I don't have a DVD burner on my computer, nor do I personally know anyone who does. That's the only reason I'm not doing this myself.
If someone says yes, you get to know my address!
PS: I live in the US. That should narrow it down a little.

Hey Adywan,
I had a showing of your NTSC DVD-5 version over the weekend for 10 people on a huge 8 foot wide projection system, and people loved it. There were actually no complaints over any of the changes you made.
But a few people, including myself, noticed that the audio gets slightly out of sync after they leave Tatooine, up until the destruction of Alderan. I know a couple other people on this forum mentioned noticing that a while back, but at that time I watched those scenes over and over again on my computer and it didn't seem out of sync.
Maybe it's only noticeable when the image was blown up so large and the movements of lips are that much more visible. Or maybe the problem is only on the center channel, which is why I never noticed it with my stereo headphones...?
I noticed it at about 55:10, starting when Han says "Go strap yourselves in..." Watch when he says "light speed". Han makes the "sp" sound with his lips after it was already said. I'm watching it on my computer now, running the ISO from my hard drive, with Media Player Classic, and I do notice it out of sync there, but the scene that follows seems synced to me. But watching it on that huge screen, with a nice 5.1 sound system, the dialog ran about 2 or 3 frames earlier than the video up until Alderaan blows up. It wasn't apparent to everyone, even after it was pointed out. But three people did notice it, without me bringing it up. Afterwards everything was in sync again.
Anyway, not a huge issue, but I thought I'd bring it up again in case you wanted to double check it before the DVD-9.

Hasn't that scene always been like that? I seem to remember the 04 dvd having the same issue....haven't checked though, just going off my faulty memory...
