The vocals in the LD 5.1 mix are not isolated completely to the center channel, they still have very substantial volume in the left and right channels, not just a mere echo. Is that how they did surround mixing back then, cause any movie I watch in surround sound today, there is either no vocals in the left and right, or at 'certain' moments in a movie, there are if they are extremely loud, or there is a huge echo.

I'm just curious about that. IDK honestly what sounds better, don't have the best surround sound system to test.

On another note, about ROTJ. This seems like the movie that has had the worst alterations done to it in the SE. The replacement Max Reebo scene looks like Pixar animation; if Lucas added this to remove the 'fakeness of puppets'.. he only made it look less believable with poorly animated creature movements (they are exaggerated for cartoon style, not realistic animation movements for film), and poorly rendered effects like the saliva in the creatures mouth... looks like the water from the animated movie Antz.

And the lips on the singer. Another example of this unrealistic animation usually associated with cartoony pixar.. So over done, did the lips need to stretch 10 miles into the camera so far that its a friggin macro shot. I half expected it to zoom in to the cellular level or for the other obnoxious creature.. for the camera to pan down his throat all the way into his stomach. Ugh, this is just sad.

The music sounds awful. If I had to choose from a jazz/funk music made in 1983 by one of the best film composers ever, and some ugly 90s style R&B... I'm going with the the first.

We have to replace this scene. I don't care if the rest of the movie is 1080, and this scene is only 320 pixels in height. I'd rather it abruptly switch to lower resolution or standard definition.. than watch that new abomination in HD. The scene has to go.

I can tolerate the stupid beak in the pit of carkoon, even though I think that was a pointless addition..

The other big issue is pretty simple to fix. The ending. Just remove the new 'scenes'.. The rest of the scenes are the same as the original, they just are re-ordered slightly.

Just readd the original mix from the LD, and remove Hayden's ghost. I feel sorry for the original Anakin Skywalker.. his role just getting tossed aside at the end to make room for this horrible actor.

EDIT: By the way, I am not the most amazing with animation yet when it comes to CGI, but I could probably handle space ship scenes no problem.

I have good experience with using 3D Studio Max.

Do you know what thread you're in? Obviously not.

Get over it

Get over what?

Pay him no mind -1. While I agree to a certain extent that more substantial updates would be nice, he failed to put it in words without insulting you - several times. He's just out for attention, which I'm giving him right now . HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY V! xP

I won't lose any sleep over someone like you. This is the same hollow update/ promises that -1 did before....you know right before he screwed all of us by deleting all his posts and starting his own board? You people are so gullible. FYI bkev, no amount of fan boyisms is going to convince -1 to do anything.

The only hope this project has is that Adywan is involved, of course he was before as well until -1 screwed him....

Adywan contrabution is the only hope this project has. If -1 drops the ball again all you'll ever get is fuzzy out of focus pics of a scratched faded proint. yippie.

Hi.

So I see threads about these 1080p amazing-looking versions of the saga, done by you guys, but when reading said threads, I only see info about files that I can't find being burnt to DVDs, and sometimes not working, etc.  Is there any way to get these in a simple format to just watch on my 1080p laptop?

Thanks!

Just download and mount the iso.

The firmware is NOT on the platters. Doesn't sound like they know what they're doing...maybe get someone else.

Yes it is.  Check out any thread about the Seagate 500gb drives.  I can give you the version # when I get home.  All of the drives from that line are crapping out.  :(  Here's a link with info: http://forums.slizone.com/lofiversion/index.php?t33993.html

Anyway...it was sent off.  $600 if they can fix it.  Waiting to hear back.  It arrived there yesterday.

LMAO  NO NO NO The FIRMWARE is on a IC CHIP on the PCB board inside the drive.....NOT on the platters. computers 101 folks.
