Adywan, any and all donations from me are not donations, they're gifts from one friend to another. Friends don't ask for refunds. :)

You know guys (and the occasional gals)? There is an "ignore" button you can click on if someone annoys you. No need to get upset or fill up a thread with a back-and-forth tennis match on who will get the last word.
I've blocked vbangle in the past, but I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt this time. Boy, was I wrong.

The best way to rest your case is to just drop it. Seriously. Let it go.
Done.
Radi0n,
I just love how some idiot who's been here for two months, thinks he has the run of this place and his shit doesn't stink. I have supported Adywan long before you ever got here.
Newsflash for Radi0n,
I NEVER SAID NOT TO SUPPORT ADYWAN IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
My heart wheeps for Ady's continuing troubles....and he knows that. My comments were directed at your dumbass comments telling the rest of us, and Adywan for that matter what he should do.
Why can't Adywan can make his own decisions about what he does or doesn't do with his time? Of course Adywan will probably postpone his work on Empire...most everyone in his situation would. You are a complete ignoramus.
And BTW, thanks for not ignoring me (yes I can tell), it means so much.

Ady, I applaud your efforts to continue the project looking back on what ill fate has befallen your family. I wouldn't mind at all if you put Revisited on hold, completely, until your father gets better.
Who left you in charge. Jeez.
It's called sympathy and respect.
Something you clearly can't offer.Let's see how much love and effort you can still muster up for a project this size when close relatives are diagnosed with cancer.
It's not my fault that you're a dipshit. Most kids your age are.

Even with all the crap that Adywan is dealing with right now I'm sure he'd be willing to give you a few pointers if you were to give him a PM....

With all do respect Chewtobacca, this is 2010
You should as well as most people on this board should have a TV/monitor that will accept/do 1:1 pixel mapping(since they are demanding the best possible GOUT transfer, 4k scans, and digital prints sent to their doorstep.....why the hell would they ask for such if they have a shitty TV that doesnt even do 1:1 pixel mapping?)

Yeah Chewtobacca. It's 2010. Poor people don't exist anymore. Shesh. Get with it already.
I was ready for this dumb response and here is the correct reply
IF you dont have the appropriate display device to view these encodes/transfers, then what does it matter to you? You are the same person who cries that the OT isnt on Bluray but yet dont even have a Bluray player or HDTV.....
Edit: Next time, please understand my posts before you respond with a obvious dumb answer. If you have an older TV, then the GOUT is perfectly suited for such
Well if you can't beat 'um, join 'um...right TV's Frink?

Dark_jedi, are you going to alter the resizing values in G-Force's scripts to prevent horizontal resizing? With the greatest of respect to G-Force, the values in the scripts are simply wrong, as they needlessly stretch perfectly good picture, shifting it into the overscan area. It would be much better not to resize horizontally.

Forgetting for a second the 1:1 pixel mapping issue, isn't stretching a already compromised fuzzy low resolution image not a good idea? Why make the GOUT worse? I must be missing something here.

Are there any Windows 7 64 bit users here that really know this system in and out? I have run into a problem that needs fixing before I can go on, I rendered the lossless avi for the V2 Jedi SE during the day today and tonight I go to see if it is done and it is, well now my PC is in compatibility mode(have no idea how it even got in that mode, VDub does not need it) and it will NOT get back out, so now VDub won't even load any scripts, my screen is just green, and Vegas needs to be back in 64 bit mode to work, and that is what I do all my audio work in, so PLEASE if anyone has any ideas, let them roll.
Before anyone asks, don't worry ALL files are backed up, they are going no where.
I am hoping this is something I can fix, because if I have to format and put everything back on again, that will be a bitch!
Not sure if this will help or not.

Adywan, I was watching your final ESB:R trailer again, and I noticed that around 0:51-0:52, when Luke spots the snowspeeder, his head/neck movement seems much too jarring. Did you notice that, and fix it?
It was supposed to be a fix already, but it seems much to stuttering now.
I really haven't got a clue what you mean. Is it when he turns to see the falcon? Well if it is that has been fixed as can be seen in the trailer. There is nothing jarring about it and certainly no stuttering
Yep nothing wrong there....looks beautiful. Thank you Adywan for your attentiveness to detail.
g-force please understand. For those of us who have 5 year old shitty computers it makes more sense to grab completed projects from the usual places....but I have your previous scripts and one day, when I have the hardware to handle this I will encode my own GOUT disks....without you, that would of never been possible for me. Thank you for being the guy that figured out how to do all of what you do to improve the GOUT...one day I will have the satisfaction of authoring my own GOUT using your scripts.

Sure, did you get the sample and will it help? the one I sent in your PM.
here is the sub pic.
I realized I had on old sample of the PAL that I think I got from OldSchoolJedi. Anyway, the script is complete, but here's my problem:
My vision is to have the subs hard-coded, but in the black bars. This accomplishes two things.
1. if anyone wants to use the encodes for their own projects, they can just wipe the subs if they want to.
2. since the subs are not an original element, keeping them in the black bars doesn't present them as something they are not.
So here's my dilemma. If I release the script now, Dark Jedi will change the subs, and no one will ever see my version. If I have to wait until I obtain a copy of the PAL, the release will be delayed even longer. I guess if Dark Jedi agreed to use the script "as is" then there would be no more problems.
What does everyone think?
-G
I disagree. There will be people that will encode using your script. In fact there are probably dozens of people waiting for your script to do just that...sure they'll also take a look at Dark Jedi's version but don't think for one moment that anybody here doesn't appreciate and treasure your script.
The last three posts is all too typical of the bullshit that is clogging up OT.com threads now a days. You all are nothing but ass clowns that think you're being clever.

Not necessarily, keep in mind. Print fluxuations vary by reel. If you have ever watched a black and white print that was made in the colour era you can see this--one reel might have a bit of a sepia-looking tone to it, another might be more towards red, some might be really neutral looking. So just because the beginning of the film has a bit of green tint doesn't mean the end of the film will--it might have its own problem, or it might be the same problem, or it might be fine, but its hard to know unless you were there and can see the shift during changeover (which may be impossible to tell in some cases). The problem might also be on the camera taking the photos too, making it look uniform when really the print itself doesn't have that problem. Bit of a tricky situation here for the nitty-gritty details about whether something should have 24 or 28 points of green.
Jesus H Christ enough please.
G-Force, is there anything you can share with us about your progress on the V3 ROTJ script? What are some of the time consuming tasks in tweaking your script for ROTJ that's different from the other two movies scripts?

This looks great so far. Stupid question: you guys do force film the video in DGIndex before using the script, don't you?
I did this as a matter of course without thinking about it. I cannot see why it would make much of a difference to functioning of the script, but just checking.
edit - G-Force, are you planning to work with the PAL GOUT for your ROTJ script? Unlike the other two movies, the PAL is supposed to be better quality. I would prefer to have an NTSC output, but one could easily work PAL to NTSC conversion into the script. This would mean one could work with the best source material and it could produce PAL and NTSC outputs by just adjusting or deleting a few lines.
I also hope you will give me permission to release an MKV of this.
Yes, force film is a must. I don't own the PAL versions, is there a thread that describes what makes the PAL ROTJ better?
Permission not needed, but if it makes you feel better, you've got it.
-G
I seem to remember that the PAL GOUT disks were just stretched NTSC GOUT video...which was a huge disappointment to everyone who lived in PAL land.

I doubt I would be adding any extra shots of the falcon blasting the troopers. It doesn't really need it and it would need to fit in without ruining the pacing and the music cues.
Part of the point of revisiting the trilogy is to improve plot pacing during some scenes. Since you'd be doing the exact opposite, I agree in not adding them back in. ;)
Well, as long as you agree....:)
Your ISP probably doesn't have much retention. To see everything that is at the newsgroup you'll need a paid server like astraweb....$11 a month for unlimited speed and volume.
And you still think you're clever. FAIL.

Han shot in 1977. Greedo shot in 1997. Ergo, Han shot first.
Anyway, wrong thread to pick this fight.
Hey moron, I was referring to his post in this thread. Anyway who died and made you a mod? ah that's right nobody, so f off.
Can you please stop saying that Han shot first? There is no first or second. Han was the only one to shoot period. Its just one of things that is said quite a lot around here that just isn't correct. Thank you.
It sounds like we need g-force to settle this. G-Force, what say you?
