Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)

I don't care if he or you or anybody else cares. These projects are such a waste of time anyway. I mean how many times can you upscale the GOUT? There are much better ways of restoring these films.

Someone like adywan has the skills to pull it off, and he almost did with his Empire DVD, but hes more interested in his worse-than-Lucas fan edits.

So anyway have fun going around and around in circles with your restorations. People in the know already have 1080p restored versions of the OOT based on the HD captures. And they will be improved when the Blu-rays come out. But you guys can continue to live in blissful ignorance in your own little world.

I thought you said you were done with this site? I guess not.

I actually have a list of the bad frames I found on all the DVDs.

Please post your findings if it is PAL/NTSC differences or IVTC errors in the thread I linked to earlier in this thread. It can be useful.

Sorry but I'm not going to help someone that just straight up lied to me (not you) and everyone else that is supporting him here. I'm done with this site.

But I don't think DJ cares? Or anybody else for that matter.

This is childish. Nothing more. You deliberately commented on this post to say you have them, only to deny dark_jedi receiving them. Why not just keep quiet and not post?

Everyone who can be helpful, is doing so, including myself.
If you can't, then just find another interesting thread. It's better for everyone.

EDIT: Furthermore, dark_jedi is right. I saw your comment. Yours just drowned in between a lot of other comments. There's nothing wrong with that. This thread clearly shows dark_jedi has his hands full. All you had to do was post your message again. But even something as simple as that didn't work.

Look who thinks he's TV's Frink.

LOL, not by me, no way, getting very tired of Star Wars LOL, but I may go back and fix some of the very bad frames, it is a lot more noticeable on these Blu versions than the DVD versions, the 2 mentioned here are already fixed,

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Whats-missing-from-GOUT/post/457778/#TopicPost457778

but not sure if everyone wants to wait a little more for me to re-render and encode.

Whatever you want for your edits is what we want. Either way.

Why are the colors so different? They almost look like they are from different sources?

I color and level corrected GOUT to reduce the over-abundant reds and reduce the white levels. Some of it is detailed in the earlier posts. Undoubtedly, it's not going to be to everyone's tastes...but it makes me happy.

Yeah, Im sorry about that. I haven't read the entire thread.

Was there input from members here about the colors? Or did you you just trust yourself alone? The reason I ask is there are some very talented people here when it comes to color correction...just to name a few Adywan, Harmy, Moth3r, the list goes on...

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

Unfortunately, people have been adding the words 'Revisited' and 'Adywan' to things he has nothing to do with. (I saw a Fast and the Furious torrent that used the word 'Adywan' for no good reason)

It's kinda like how every humorous song is mistakently attributed to/tagged as "Weird Al" Yankovic, to the point where he has had to make statements and release a list of true and false titles on his site.

I don't think you understood. It's Adywan's Revisited that's for sure, but it has been upscaled. I was wondering if Adywan himself had done this.

Looks pretty good so I thought maybe Adywan had decided to upscale his ANH:R....

Anybody know who did?

I'm asking because it would be a neat trick to learn how to do this.

I tried to take this to PM but I can't since you are ignoring me. I think getting someone's name wrong is rude, and since you did it twice, I don't see that it was a typo.

Having said that, I was sincere in that the rest of your post was well written.

I will not respond again to this, as this thread is the wrong place for it.

So you're the typo police? Must kill you not have Mod rights here...too bad.

Of course you do get away with tons more shit than anybody else, I wonder why?

Andy? Well written post otherwise.

adywan, my heart goes out to you and your family, especially your daughter. My wife and I had a stillborn baby several years ago and it has taken us a very long time to recover...actually I should say we will always be recovering, but as vbangle said, time does help. And our two subsequent daughters have really helped as well.

Feel free to PM me if you have any desire to converse with someone who has an idea of what you and your daughter are going through.

Thanks for the compliments and the little jab. Could you please do me a favor? I know the rules don't apply to you, that much is painfully obvious, but could you please stop commenting and nick-picking my posts? Just ignore me like I try to do to you. Thank you so much.

Andy,

My wife had a miscarriage the first time we tried to have a baby. Unfortunately I think its quite common now for women.

We waited for 3 years before trying again....the result? the cutiest baby boy you ever did see.

I know its hard on her and you right now but time does mend old wounds. You sound like such a great Dad (and a wonderful son), let her know that there are other women/couples out there that have had the same experience and have come through it.

I have to believe that you have so much good Karma stored up for you Andy...sooner or later you are going to see some of it. You deserve it.

I've been wondering that myself. Maybe Ady can take Paypal donations that are marked for personal use? I'll see what I can work out.

Any donations that Adywan receives he of course uses on the edit....however that means he doesn't have to use his own dough on the edit...so donating to the edit helps Adywan in more ways than just paying for styrene..

Where did I say anything else?

Sorry Harmy, i totally misread what you wrote. Told you i was knackered. lol can't even read properly now. I though you said "better in the SE" instead of "better than in". God i really need some sleep and a good break. But that ain't going to happen.

Oh, and to the certain person who emailed me yesterday complaining that i am taking too long to do this edit, and complaining that it isn't going to be done until December or even later, then SCREW YOU!!! How dare you say that i should consider putting my dad in a care home if i am struggling to balance things between looking after him and doing this edit. I am replying to you in here because i instantly blocked your email address. I am NOT going to give you the satisfaction of naming you but you know who you are. You are not even man enough to post it in an open forum because you are a weak pussy. Rot in hell.

I was at my local car parts shop this morning waiting for them to open when here's comes this older man with two hyper-active dogs, mutts of some sort, the kind that aren't very intelligent,....anyway he proceeds to let them relieve themselves right at the entrance to this shop. This guy had no class, no common decency...gone are the days when out in public we were courteous and cordial to each other.

Sounds like this guy that emailed you is as much of a jerk as the low life dog owner I saw this morning. Don't let the idiot steal your joy. Plenty of others here who understand your current life situation completely and wish you all the best.

Thank you for working so tirelessly on your edits Adywan.

Thanks for that awesome V3 set. What kind of help do you need for the BluRay set?

Waiting on ESB and ROTJ menu's, but I have not heard from my partner in a while, so at this particular point, I have NO idea what is going on.

But to answer your question, I needed menu help, I have ALL audio\video finished, it has been finished for a pretty long time now.

Hey DJ, I hope you got my humor in my last message to you...Dude you are being so good to us by trying everything you know of to make these Blu's as special and professional as possible. I can be as impatient as anybody here but the quality of the work that you have done is so extraordinary that I am willing to wait.

Thank you again for making these possible. They're going to be awesome next to the official Blus...

Thanks guys. been out for a meal and a night out with my wife, daughters and their boyfriends so i'm a bit worse for wear at the moment , but had a good night out. Will probably pay for it the next day but who cares . lol

I'm willing to bet you could use a few days off

I could really use a few months off , but ive got no chance of that if i have any chance to meet the Dec 2011 deadline

If there are any inspiring young film directors out there fresh from film school I got a project idea for you. A Adywan Documentary would be an interesting project don't you think?

Happy B-Day Adywan.

Unfortunately, and with no disrespect to Zion or the X0 team, the X0 transfer just doesn't really offer anything of use. When you break it down, it's still just a transfer of the '93 Star Wars LD, though from a solid LD player with no compression artifacts.

Fail. The X0 transfer is much more than your narrow minded opinion of it.
