Skeleton Crew (live action series) - a general discussion thread
Time

This is the poster, but this particular unreleased poster was found in a thrift store. It’s not really a poster, it’s printed on a cloth material with a small piece of wood on top and bottom sewn into it.

This might be released next weekend at San Diego Comic Con as they push this new show on Disney plus. I heard it might not release until early 2025.

A New Hope - If you could add a scene of the emperor, where would you add it & what would it be?

I wouldn’t do it at all. But if I had to, it could be cool to have very cryptic, creepy 2-second shots of him sensing things through the Force. No explanation of who he is. Like maybe he feels some kind of ripple and his eyes open when Luke meets Obi Wan or tells him he wants to be a Jedi, he smiles when Alderaan gets blown up, and he looks irate when the death star is destroyed.

I was thinking where you could add the Emperor, and I think I figured it out.

The scene is when Luke returns to Obi-wan Kenobi after seeing Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru’s dead bodies. He says, “There’s nothing for me here now, I want to learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi, like my father.”

There’s a scene wipe shortly after that, it should cut to the Emperor meditating and he opens his eyes and says, “Good…good, fulfill your destiny.” (laughs)

It might be interesting to extend the scene of Tarkin learning the situation on Dantooine. It would start with the darkened conference table and a voice coming through from the orb at the center. The Emperor warns Tarkin that the destruction of Alderaan could drive more support to the Rebellion, but Tarkin assures him that they now have the location of the Rebel base. The transmission ends and they receiver word that Dantooine is a bust, leading Tarkin to call for Leia’s execution.

I was thinking the same exact thing. It has to be before Leia is brought to the deck to watch her planet explode.

Hiding the Emperor’s face until The Empire Strikes Back does nothing, because we see his face in the Kenobi series talking to Vader. It’s weird we don’t see Yoda or the Emperor in A New Hope.

I wish they could get Jimmy Smits to film that scene on Alderaan as it explodes. He witnesses the green laser striking his planet and we see the ground crumble and move like an ocean wave across the planet and a scared and concerned look on his face and the planet starts to explode.

After seeing the Obi-wan Kenobi series, to see Alderaan explode from on the planet’s surface would make me feel so very sorry for Princess Leia.

Watching the original, you don’t really have that connection as Leia does. They should film that scene at least, before he gets too old or retires.

I want to see Alderaan from Bail Organa’s point of view as he sees the Death Star come into view. He knows what’s coming after the events on Jedha and Scarif. We see a tear rolling down his face, and then the green laser hits and then nothing’s left.

But ToD is a prequel, so it happened before Indy knew Marion?

Actually, he knew Marion when she was his student. They had an inappropriate teacher/ student relationship. Indy knew her father, so that caused a problem. Then he went off and had the Temple of Doom adventure.

When he saw Marion in Raiders, Marion was furious, because he took advantage of her when she was younger.

-Young Indy Vol. 1-3
-Young Marion events prior to Temple of Doom.
-Temple of Doom
-Raiders of the Lost Ark
-The Last Crusade
-Indy playing the sax scene
-The Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls
-The Dial of Destiny
-Old Indy scenes from Young Indy show

Would be cool if they reshot the old Indy scenes with Harrison Ford and added them to the old series.

Best to worst

Raiders
Last Crusade
Temple of Doom
Dial of Destiny
Crystal Skull

It’s a shame that we couldn’t get a grown up Short Round and older Indiana movie. Ke Huy Quan seems so enthusiastic around Harrison, there’s a certain camaraderie between the two actors. It’s really nice to see that. I think there’s a movie there, if done right, or maybe a short series on Disney +

A limited series that isn’t too hard for Harrison.

Would be funny if Short Round asked about the pretty lady (Kate Capshaw) Indy was with in front of Marion.

Marion: What pretty lady?

Indy: (Looks at Short Round and waves his hands to stop)

SR: Nobody Mrs. Jones

Struzan Esque covers for the Sequels?

Those look great! I can’t find the textless one in good quality but the one with text is a much higher resolution, may take some Photoshop to get the TFA one complete.

Thanks, it looks like he prevented people from stealing his artwork online. He must have found out that someone posted his artwork. You can’t save his art anymore, he blocked it all now.

If anyone has a good copy from earlier of The Force Awakens, I’ll clean it up best that I can.

This is pretty much exactly that. If someone could make Blu Ray covers out of all 9 of these posters that would be amazing.

If someone can get me a better version of The Force Awakens poster from Ethan Pro, I can do that one.

I wanted to just do the posters, so that way I can keep more of the detail in the art.

The Mandalorian - a general discussion thread - * SPOILERS *
Time

I loved the episode, it’s your typical Mandalorian playbook play. He travels somewhere to meet someone, learns he needs something, travels to that place, either he helps someone to get the item he needs or he runs into trouble himself just to get what he’s looking for.

Spoilers for S03E01 and E02

I liked the IG-11 scenes. I thought that was going to happen with his program defaulting back to the original program. In order to get this part for IG-11, he must travel back to his deceased friend Kuiil’s home to find that part.
