I'm a little surprised they would try to connect this film with a pre-OT cartoon especially when the majority of casual movie goers probably won't even watch the show. If the flashback is true, I wonder who they got to play a young Leia? Or would it be a CGI Leia?
I have a feeling none of this true and that the robot hand we saw a few days ago is actually Luke's hand or simply Abram's showing us more practical effects as he's done with all the other sneak peeks. He obviously wants fans to know that he is using a lot of practical effects.
The first picture looks like Han in Hoth gear. And the second one kind of resembles Han's Endor outfit, except the coat isn't camo. What's the source of the images?

Not only age, but drug and alcohol abuse as well. I think she looks great considering. More importantly, she appears to be healthy and happy. We also have to remember that our princess is nearing 60.
According to Debbie Reynolds, Carrie lost 40 pounds in preparation for the role. However, I have a feeling that Carrie won't get the same amount of screen time as Mark or Harrison. In any case, all three are looking great.

I'm actually surprised (and glad, of course) the Falcon is still around 30 years after the OT considering what Han and Lando put it through before and during the OT. ;-)
More Falcon interior photos. Supposedly, the set wasn't 100% completed when the photos were taken.

EDIT: On second thought, many of the hallways in the prequels had a similar look as well before the Empire existed.

The last photo kind of the looks like a hallway of the Death Star in ROTJ. Although, I don't recall seeing any hallways like that in the film. A deleted scene briefly showed Vader walking down a hallway.

That makes sense if Luke is really living as a recluse on a desolate planet. He may have not had the means to get replacement skin or simply didn't care. It could have been damaged in a battle of some sort, too.

Well, did they restore the mos eisley scenes and then destroy the negative by printing the CG directly onto the old film? Or did they restore it, digitally add the changes and add new parts into the negative and put the real parts into storage?
According to savestarwars.com, the original pieces are most likely in storage. Therefore, the scenes were altered digitally.
The original pieces removed for the CG-enhanced shots are no doubt in storage. The original negative was fully cleaned and restored starting in 1995, and because parts even then were damaged or unusable had to have certain parts replaced with interpositive and separation master dupes, as well as having the optical transitions redone.

Well, I would assume so. Speaking of the Holiday Special, I recall something about how Lucas allowed a documentary filmmaker to have access to the original copy of the Holiday Special back in '04. If the Holiday Special (something I can assure you Lucas hated more than the OOT) was still in watchable condition after 25 years, I'm sure the original parts of the negative cut out for the SE are in a bit better condition then some people may think.
I take it the Holiday Special was shot on film, then?
