Rebel Assault II and, Jedi Knight Dark Forces II cutscenes

I quite liked Jedi Knight, though. At least when the actors did their thing, it looked like they were actually putting in effort, other than just standing around in front of a green screen looking bored.

Out of curiosity I searched for some Jedi Knight cutscenes and, posted them in the first post. I never played the game though so hopefully I got the order right.....

My favorite part of it was that there was a code you could enter, and it would give the game the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment. You could see the siloute of a row of movie seats at the bottom of the scene with darth vader, threepio, and artoo, then there would be MST3Kish jokes that would appear on the screen in subtitles.

I read about that code a month after returning the game ironically.

crazyrabbits: I don't delve into EU much beyond the games..... So I had no clue they weren't ever mentioned again.

(Rebel Assault II)
I did a search to see if this was mentioned it wasn't(Well it did get mentioned in this thread but no cutscenes were posted.....).

I rented this game a long time ago. I found a video of most of the Full motion videos on youtube. Here. It's interesting in the beggining crawl it's listed as "Episode II".

(Jedi Knight)
I've also found some Jedi Knight cutscenes. Now I have absolutely no clue on what order these should be posted so, I'll do my best.... Plus, I have no clue whether or, not all the cutscenes I found are all the cutscene's in the game....

Either he's lying for no apparent reason or we're thinking of different videos.

My memories very fuzzy on the video. I just don't remember a lot about it. However, I remember pausing the video to see Jason David Frank's name while he was talking about Kata. I also, remember behind the scenes shots of the actors getting make up on for the show. Although, I tottally forgot about the in-character interviews. I also, tottally forgot about the history of Rita and, Zordon thing. Basically, I only remember a little bit about the tape. Hence, why I said I haven't seen it in a while.

<edit>Oh, and, I found the aired version of the first pilot.

Thanks for the correction about the fan club video. That sounded a bit strange to me, since two similar videos (those of the official Karate Club) are out-of-character. Still, it might be interesting simply for the Zordon/Rita backstory, but I'm taking it off the list.

I don't know what was cut out for the aired version as, I've never seen it. The changes I said were what I've read. The version on youtube however, seems to be the one before the alterations since the megazord sequence has the word droid intact. Also, there's a lack of Fox Kids logo.

Also, I don't really remember anything about a Zordon/Rita backstory. However, I haven't seen it in a while.

Oh, and some behind the scenes stuff I found on youtube.

Then, of course, there was the unaired pilot that was shown on TV during the sixth season.

3.) The Official Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Fan Club Video
I can't say much about this, as it is one of the few tapes to have escaped my grasp, but a few sources say that it is basically an expanded history of Zordon and Rita, some improvised "interviews" with characters from the show (who don't seem to mind giving their secret identities away to some random dude with a camera) and some good ol' "moral of the day" tripe.

There are two versions of the original pilot. The aired version that was shown on TV was edited down due to "violence" they also changed what was said during the megazord sequence utilizing dialoge from the official pilot. They had to edit out the word droid. The real un-aired pilot can be viewed via Youtube.

Also, the fan club video I have but, it was a behind the scenes of the power rangers. They didn't set it up as "these are the power rangers", they set it up as "these are the actors that play the power rangers". Anyone who thought they were trying to convince the kids that they weren't actors clearly wasn't paying attention. They had the actors name on the screen during the interviews not the characters. I currently have it in storage though so, I can't put it on the web.

A 35mm print is a different deal- since 35mm prints have never been sold by LFL, they are all still the property of LFL and if you own one- it's stolen, so you're breaking the law simply by possessing it.

...
So, what about all those theaters that ran Star Wars back in 1977? Do they just rent/lend out the prints and, they have to return them at the end of the run or something?

Don't DVD players transmit a television image? I guess their lawyers didn't have a dictionary. LOL!

I think the music lawyers must have used the arguement that DVD can do more then just be used for video. Thus, making it a digital medium and, not just a simple video(like VHS or, Beta). The Quantum Leap people definitely needed better laywers though.

With Quantum Leap though the music people got greedy after one of thier lawyers found a loophole. Since in thier original contracts they used "future video releases" rather then, "future media releases"[or some other generic term] they argued DVD isn't officially "video". So, they asked for more money for every single song. So, they just pay for the songs that Sam sings(usually). Some other songs stay in if thier important to the story or, they don't have a lawyer after them for that song. So, it's greed from the music people that prevents the original songs from being on the dvd's. However, if a new video standard is made and, it's refferred to as, video; Quantum leap's music would be able to be the original without legal entanglements.
Basically, the Quantum Leap people have already payed for the rights but, a loophole means they have to pay twice.

I don't know about Northern Exposure though.

I personally think that Blu-ray will win. I don't think however that the name of either product will be it's downfall. If someone during the VHS days told you "Digital Versatile Disc is going to be so much better." Would you know what the heck they were talking about? Plus, occording to wiki VHS's original name was Vertical Helical Scan... So, yeah you can't just judge by a name....

You or, anyone here can pretty much do that right now. Except for signatures...

Go to customize, scroll down until you see "If you are on a slow connection, choose the Standard Graphics mode to decrease download times.", select "Standard", then click "Customize!", and boom images in posts are no longer displayed. It still shows signatures but, Avatars are gone and, images in a post are replaced with the img tags and, the url.

So, aside from signatures it's an option already there.

Trooperman: I saw the new yoda clip and, I liked it(even though, I don't think Yoda should say "Impossible to see the future is."). If you want to cut out the Death sticks guy out completely there's an alternate angle in the Good to G.O. documentary. Also in there is an angle that focuses less on Lucas's daughter/Ahmed best and, focuses on Anakin. Just ideas on what you could use.

Help me get BANNED on SW.COM!!!
Time
Three things I learned from lurking at starwars.com. I lurked there a long time ago and, these were the rules before I don't know if they're the same now.

1. There's a limit to how much a post can contain of characters. I suggest you check that and, divide your post into seperate parts from that limit(in some sort of text program like word). Then, post each part as a new thread.

2. There are some forums you can't post in without the moderater approving a post. So, if you want to post it in multiple forums make a note of the moderater approval forums and, don't waste your time there.

3. There are moderaters that don't have a moderater status on thier username. I don't know how that can help you but, I thought I would mention it....

All and, all the ideas posted already will probably get you banned. Though, I do agree with Zion that it is possible that word could get around at starwars.com and, you would have brought trolling here. It's your choice though....

I've always thought it would be cool to have a scene in TNG where Data says something about an unidentified vessel on long-range sensors, then Picard says to put it onscreen and magnify the image, and lo and behold, it's a Super Star Destroyer!

Close to what you were describing.

I think we both mean the same, but say it in a different way.
CGI looks more perfect than reality, the original White House
can be cleaned and serviced as much as you want, it will never
be perfect.

so as long as we talk about perfection, cgi looks better than
reality. if i would be talking about realism, the original will look
more real.

but in a future world it is possible to have surfaces and material
that is self cleaning and looks like the corridors on camino

Right.... you completely ignored me didn't you? So, I take it that you think the CG face I posted was perfect? Also, the corridors on Kamino were added in Models. That's right MODELS not cgi. Model 1 Don't believe the picture? Here's a behind the scenes thing they did for it.

I don't know why, it makes no difference to me, but the way it was shot it seems so out of place.
I think it's becuase, it's almost like the characters are saying this.

Obiwan: Hi, you don't know me but, I'm going to give you a child.
Beru: Okay, what's your name?
Obiwan: Uh, ... ben.
Beru: Okay, I'll go tell my husband.
Obiwan: You do that.

Beru goes to Owen.

Beru: Hey, we got a child now!
Owen: Yay, now we don't have to go through adoption!
Beru: Let's burn our eyesight by looking into the two suns.
Owen: Okay sounds good.

Obiwan goes away on the camel thing.

Owen: Beru, where'd you get that kid anyway?
Beru: That guy named Ben over there.
Owen: Oh, that guy going away on that animal?
Beru: Yeah.
Owen: Okay, let's look into the suns somemore.
Beru: Okay.

That's what I was thinking when I first saw that scene.

Unless you were being sarcastic, the fall over the chair by palpatine is not CGI. The set was built and the movements look far to realistic to have been CGI. It obviously wasn't Ian doing it, but certainly a stuntman on a real set.
There could be a wire removal though. I don't know it's kind of hard to fall in a chair that way under your own willpower... Especially with a table in the way...

Alternate Endings For The Trilogy....
Time
Hm,...

Luke exits the death star 2. Lando in the Falcon are trying to make thier way out. The DS2 explodes it's unsure whether or, not Lando lives. Cut to Han and, Leia. They don't know what to think and, await the survivors arrival as the Ewoks cheer. The first to arrive is the Falcon. Lando exits.

Lando: Has anyone else returned yet?
Han: Your the first one.
Lando: I kept her in as good condition as, possible but,...
Han: But, what?
Lando: The Death Star explosion caused a burn on the backside.
Han: What!? Your paying for it.
Lando: Relax, I'll get one of my men to fix it.

The rest of the survivors arrive along with Luke. Leia greets Luke. Cut to a funeral sequence with Luke, Leia and, Vader. Cut to the celebration sequence. Then, Luke and, Leia arrive at the Party everyone else is having and, they're both greeted with hugs. Luke looks out to a distance and, see's Obiwan and, Yoda. Shaw appears as Anakin. The party continues. -closing credits- -what happens during closing credits that we don't see- Then, it turns out the Ewoks are actually very hungry and, starts attacking/eating everyone that survived the Death star. Except Chewbacca becuase, it turns out Ewoks are just baby Wookies. The Ewoks were just celebrating the massive meal that just decided to stay(hence all those campfires they made).

The end.
