Thank you.

What did you like, particularly?

Also, your thoughts on the Fake Two-Face issue? And, about the scene where Bruce sees hta nightmare and all... Well?
The Fake Two-Face issue is a good idea but, I'm just wondering how it could be pulled off. After seeing this thread and, posting to it I watched BF again ... mostly to see where I missed the mcdonalds that you brought up. I only saw a yellow m in the backround in the alley scene, is that it? Anyways, it would be hard to pull off seeing as there's times where "Harvey" is said so fast with another line that even if you did edit it out you might miss a little of the word and, it would come out as "What do you want Har.." It would be nice to see though if it is possible throughout the movie.

The nightmare scene is a good idea too and, I could tottally see it happening from an editors point of view.

B89 has bats in the Batcave prominently. Batman even describes them as "great survivors", and they're featured. Likewise, in BR they're heard and seen in small doses.

What I really mean is, insert some bat sounds and show some bats around the batcave - to keep with the previous films's feel of the bats being around the cave.
In small doses I agree but, whenever the cave is present is a bit much. I'm just objecting to having bunches of bat's cluttering the backround for no reason other then to look cool is all.

Not a really serious suggestion, but I just feel McDonalds gives the film that merchandise feel evident in the opening of the Theatrical Cut, with the "drive-through" line (which if you noticed, I also suggest to be erased). No real reason, other than personal preference.
Ah, yeah, I agree on the "drive through" line. I guess it's just becuase, I'm one of those people that don't mind product placement in movies so long as it's not stupid (like the credit card scene in B&R). That I don't have a problem with a fast-food place in the backround for two seconds.

Its not that I want to cut lines, I just feel the silliness should be toned down, and these lines have silliness all over them. Still, maybe Kill the Bat should stay.

Anyway, what did you think of the other changes I suggest?

Well?

I only mentioned it becuase, if you cut out both those lines Two-Face only says this "Puntual even for his own funeral. Boys!" *points to elevator and, they run and, shoot it.* Now, unless the goons have the power to read minds they just shot the elevator becuase, thier boss pointed at it. There has to be some kind of order given.

Um, the other suggestions are good too. I'll just give my two cents on a few.

Cut out "Yikes...time's up" and "That's usually my line." Never made sense to me for Chase to say that to a complete (to her) stranger. Simply have him smirk and walk up to her and say "I'd love to stay and chat" and keep everything after that.

Eh, she's a psycharitrist and, says "Time's up" to all her patients. Probably just caught her off guard that he's the one saying it. It would suprise me if she said it to someone she knew. I don't really care either way on these lines though.

Cut out Nygma's "Huh!!!" and "Hang on!" and him running towards Stickley. Its pointless to full he's conscious, since he's going to kill him anyway. Instead, have Stickley being terrified by the fall and Nygma simply come before him and say "Ed babe, you are fired, or should I say terminated?"

I always thought that he was just worried that his invention was gonna go to. I don't really care either way on these lines though.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this, but why does Gordon light up the Bat-signal?
The Riddler and, Two-Face have been constantly robbing places. That's why it's lit up. Since Batman hasn't been showing up at the rooftop he's probably worried that he's dead or, something and, keeps it on. Right when Gordon finally thinks Batman's dead/not fighting crime anymore he shows up. That's my interpretation anyways. It's not really essential to the plot or, anything so it could tottally be deleted and, not be missed.

Cut out Riddler's "I hope they find the little black box!" Never made ANY sense. Did it make any sense to anyone else?

It only made a little sense to me. I think black box's are used on airplanes to track data. So, if something goes wrong you can look at the data and, find out what went wrong. Mabye, he wanted the police to find the little black box in the Bat-plane for whatever reason. Again it only made a little sense to me and, I agree with you that it should be cut.

Nice list BB. Three things though.

Whenever the cave is present, show CGI bats around the place. It should be cool.
Why? I mean if I recall the Keaton Batman Movies didn't have them around much. Why suddenly would there be a whole bunch in there? The only one that I rememeber a significant amount of Bats in was Batman Begins. Which as, you know isn't part of this film series.

Digitally remove MacDonalds - do we really need to know Gotham City has one? I mean, please.....

There's a McDonalds in the movie? Heh, I never noticed. Though again I must ask why on this one. It's like taking the Subway papers out of Terminator 2. Why would you do it?

Cut out Two-Face's "Kill the bat!" and "Blast him!"

If your re-inserting the deleted Two-Face escape, I would keep the line "Kill the bat!" becuase, in the Escape scene it says on the wall "The Bat Must Die!" That's just me though....

Wow, that Luke isn't a good shot is he? I mean I saw him miss when he had to throw that rope. Those troopers should have caught that rope and, pulled him off that ledge.

I bet he may be some sort of species that cannot breath oxygen and has to have whatever environment he needs artificially generated by the suit.

Vader a human!? He's an android like that 3po fellow.

Ah, thank you, however I dislike the design of the ship so couldnt put up with 90 episodes of watching it in the opening credits as well. I think that opening could be used on the last episode, I mean the proper last episode not the TNG inspired one. Also in that TNG version Scott Bakula actually says "where no man" at the end so that line would be lifted and placed over his "where no human has gone before" version.

Your welcome and, the music in the backround when he says that sound a bit different. You can see for yourself Another youtube link. So it might result in an audio jump but, eh *shrug* whatever you want to do....

NOTE: An opening credits sequence in which Scott Bakula recites a modified version of the famous "Space, the final frontier..." speech (with the phrase "where no human has gone before" in place of "where no man" or "where no one"), accompanied by "Archer's Theme" was shown but I’ve never seen it. So that’s another possibility.

I know that if I wrote the prequels this scene would have been in place:

Vader and, Anakin go to fix a problem in the ship. Since they're parked in an asteriod they put on the black spacesuits(a.k.a. Vader suit's). They get in an arguement, and start fighting. Obiwan hears that and, goes out there quickly with the experimental breathing masks(what's in ESB). Obiwan can't tell who's who so he tries to seperate them with the force. Cave in happens due to the force use of Obiwan, Obiwan is seperated from Vader and, Anakin. He hears the fighting continue behind the rocks and, hears someone die. Obiwan tries as fast as he can to uncover the rock wall. All the while calling out "Darth! Anakin!" Cave wall explodes and, a voice calls out "Anakin is dead! I killed him!" Obiwan quickly uses the force to throw a big rock at him and, escapes in the ship. Vader uses the force to ride the asteriod where ever.

Anyways, yeah I agree with a lot of the comments that the ending feels rushed. I don't have any comments other then what's already been said though...

Of course, by this logic, I'd have to throw out a host of other acceptable-but-BE-sounding titles: "Shaping Star Wars," "Launching Star Wars," "Undertaking Star Wars," "Inventing Star Wars," "Developing Star Wars," etc.

And you'd have to get rid of anything that was too similar to RTJ. And, I'd get rid of this stuff too:

Yeah, I kind of did that... *cough*

Anyways, your post made me think of a title and, this came up.

Finding the War

Basically playing off the fact that stars are something you find. It's not too obvious and, it makes it fits with the others...

Finding the War
Building Empire
Returning to Jedi

Harrison Ford turns down chance to reprise Han Solo Role!

Well, if they are bringing back the original characters I think that means that seeing luke in action again is a sure thing. Since he also has a love for the series. I guess they can just write Han out. Kill him off or something, cause he can't live forever anyway.

I can see it now.

Harrison(on the phone with Lucas): I don't want to play Han again.

Lucas: What if I kill him off like you wanted.

Harrison: Listen, I'm starting to finally get that character off my ba...(George interrupts)

Lucas: I'll kill him off in the first five minutes.

Harrison: Fine, you talked me into it.

Harrison shoots the death scene. Afterwards, Lucas put's him in front of a green screen.

Harrison: What's this?

Lucas: Oh, the entire series is flashbacks of Han Solo as told by Chewbacca.

Harrison: What? I didn't sign on for this.

Lucas: Actually you did. *shows him contract and, it's in there in fine print*

Harrison: Then where's my script for these scenes?

Lucas: Oh, I've done away with scripts. It's all digital now. *shows Harrison Telepromter*

Harrison thinks what did he get himself into....

Harrison: Wait, who's playing the other parts?

Lucas: I haven't started casting yet. Just act.

... I couldn't resist typing that.

I don't know about this latest report (particularly the Star Wars spin-off), but Harrison Ford has stated many times that he would not consider playing Han Solo ever again. I actually saw him say it in a TV interview (Barbra Walters I think). In that same interview he then expressed interest in doing another Indiana movie.

This was on Oprah, I believe. He said he would never want to play the role again cuz there's nothing really there for him as an actor, but he did say that if George needed him, he would do it.

But he was pretty adamant about wanting to do another Indiana Jones movie in that same interview.

This was way back in the late 90s when he came out as a draft dodger and was sporting an earring. Some kind of image makeover to revive his shrinking career at that point.

Though I don't think sexuality has anything to do with it Cable-X1.

Wrong....it has to do with EVERYTHING!!!

I once posted a thread with a link to a whole bunch of Harrison Ford interviews. Right here. I went to the site and, an Oprah interview has been added. I only watched the first few minutes, it seems to be the one your talking about.

What did the Prequel Trilogy need?
Time
Simple to keep Luke on Tattooine. If they had told him his fathers true origin he would have wanted to go there. The way it was Owen had Luke staying with the farm. Obiwan had Luke staying by saying his father was there. Luke most likely didn't have any want to go to Alderaan. Thus he was out of danger from Vader(being that Vader and, Anakin were both Obiwan's apprentice's. They would both have knowledge of Obiwan and, Owen being on Alderaan.). Also the thing that might make Owen not wanting Luke end up as his father has could be that he was killed by Vader and, he doesn't want Luke to be killed by Vader. Then of course the message from Leia came and, it was time to come out of hiding. Though, if you really want to have Obiwan saying the complete truth in the hut. He could have just been repeating one of Owen's statements word for word:
"He should have stayed here and, not gotten involved" Owen say's to Obiwan after hearing the news of Anakin's death by Vader while in his Alderaan home.

Though, I do admit my idea doesn't leave room for the Clone wars. I guess becuase, I didn't think about that until the prequels came along..... Ah well *shrug*.

Though, what do you mean by "Owen is obviously a long-time resident of Tatooine "? Aside from the prequels and, deleted scenes there isn't much to indicate he's been there longer then Luke has.

Dug: Yep, so my ideas do need a little finessing.
Although, I also thought that Luke would be born from one mother and, Leia another mother(mabye close friend of the queen). So Ben would only be at Luke's birth. Twin could be Star Wars talk for same father. Anakin would take Vader's name in II. Then III would focus on trying to fight against the Empire and, Vader. Then the hiding would happen in III. I don't know something like that. However, I don't see much of a problem of Obiwan lieing where Anakin was. Especially if he thinks that everything else he's saying is the truth(the pilot thing, Vader killing Anakin, ect.). Plus they're in hiding so yeah. I haven't ever read the novels so I didn't know about that line in there. Basically, the way I thought of it Yoda would be the one who knew about the twin thing and, Anakin/Vader thing until Empire. Where he would tell Ben after the "There is another" line. How Yoda knew I didn't really think about.

Where does this quote come from? There is one big contradiction, though: Obi-Wan says in ANH, "...your Uncle thought he [Anakin] should've stayed here [Tatooine]...not gotten involved." He couldn't have been raised on Alderaan. Born on Alderaan, sure, but not raised. So, it seems logical that Obi-Wan found Anakin on Tatooine.

Never heard the Dagobah as the base for the Jedi thing before.

Everything that I typed I came up with before the prequels were ever made. So my young little mind didn't think about that line. However, in my scenario it's quite possible that's the only lie and, everything else Obiwan says is the truth. (I also thought of a scene in a dark cave where two of Obiwan's apprentices were fighting in the Vader spacesuits. Anakin would kill Vader offscreen take his name and, declare Anakin to be dead.)

Marvolo: Jedi meeting place. Key word meeting. So yeah I thought the same thing Jedi spread all over.

The following paragraph is just a little bit of what I thought happened in the Star Wars verse before the prequels.

Anakin born and, raised on Alderraan. Before he became Vader last he knew all his family was there and, Obiwan. Tattooine not shown at all. Empire would be around and, the Emperor would only be talked about. Degobah is the meeting place for the jedi as well as the place for all commerce. So I think the PT atleast needed not to show Tattooine....

<edit>Oh yeah and no Jedi Temple....

How do you watch the Star Wars Saga?

On a tv. </bad joke>

The order I would watch it though if I wanted to go through all the movies in one day would be this.

Star Wars
The Empire Strikes back
I
II
III
Return of the Jedi

So far though, I have not done this. I just haven't had enough time in a day to get to watch all the movies. So, I basically watch them in random order whatever movie I want to watch that day.
