Well any non-live streamed file is still a file being stored on a server someplace that could be copied like any other file on the internet. Just need to dig deep enough to find the right set of letters, numbers, and characters to allow you direct access to the original source to copy it.darth_ender said:

Disney spending 4 Billion on something isn't the same as any other company spending 4 billion on something. They don't always get everything. They just spend. When they bought several things from Saban including Power Rangers they were held to the terms of a contract with TOEI which gave TOEI some control over the Power Rangers show. Disney still spent Billions to Saban for his stuff but they didn't get complete control over the stuff. Disney's not free from previous contracts or oversights. Another example is that the "abc family" channel is only named that because Disney couldn't remove the "family" part of name without loosing the rights to air certain shows.moviefreakedmind said:

Please don't give Disney any ideas about "fixing" or "preserving changes". They "reversioned" Power Rangers and it was awful. Saban saved Power Rangers from being stuck like that, Lucas is not going to save Star Wars from any Disney reversioning.ComputerGeek said:

So I had intended to post this reply earlier than this but due to a strange set of circumstances when I would try there'd be an error page instead. Then I eventually lost much motivation to post it. So now I'm finally getting around to posting it so that I don't think about it at all during my three week break from threads here.

Alright so, I've read the posts and I could respond to each point and we could keep going back and forth on this issue but I think it's better if I just bow out of this discussion.
It's just that the part of the thread title "thread where we make enemies out of friends" just becomes more and more likely to happen the longer this discussion drags out. Everything here just seems to be getting more and more personal. I also feel dragged into the discussion of personhood which isn't something that I wanted to discuss anyway. I just wanted to mention something that bothered me about the whole personhood issue and let that be that. I didn't intend to go on a several page debate about it. (And the constant analogy with cake batter that's supposed to clarify things really doesn't help. That's still not cake so I don't know why it keeps being brought up.)
Further I only started posting in this thread again because I saw an analogy that seemed to completely ignore the health risks of pregnancy. I just didn't want those risks to be ignored.
All that said, I think it's better that this discussion end as amicably as possible.
