Although I agree with you mth, I hated the idea of Anakin building 3p0 so much I'd be willing to take the lesser of two evils to get away from it.

Plus , this isn't about whether we should take 3p0 out , but how. Trooperman has already stated that he's changed AOTC so Anakin doesn't build him. So we need to find a way to make that match and ID and I decided it would be easier to just take him out.

Help Wanted: SW videogames cutscenes (esp. Rogue Squadron series)
Time
Ive captured all the cutscenes from Episode III - The Video Game, and am in talks with someone to author it with half-decent meuns. I've also captured Rebel Assault II, which as a game is noteworthy due to its live action actos, and Darth Vader with lines by James Earl Jones.

Put me on the list for wanting those!! I would love to have the cutscene of dooku from revenge of the sith to use in my edit.

What kind of quality are the cutscenes from rots game? Dvd or close?

Has anybody actually watched the full screen version?? I'm thinking the full screen may not have all the closeups we think it does. Such as the reveal scene with obi and qui-gon. The focus is on Obi-wan, so it's possible the fs will have a closeup of him and qui-gon's dialogue off screen or half of his face chopped off.

Just something I thought of today.

I just cropped the whole shot from where they walk into the room until it cuts nute. It's closer to what you guys want, but I don't know.

I haven't done anything with slowing down the landing of the ship yet. I can't remember which musical cue is playing when the falcon lands on the death star so I'll have to check that out. I should probably just go ahead and rip all six movies and soundtracks to the hard drive for instant access.

Commander Courage: Yes it's possible, but it doesn't take much cropping at all to make it look like crap. 720x480 isn't much to crop with. Now if we had high-def Wow, the possibilities.

I'd like to see how trooperman used some of the full screen footage. I can cut inbetween the full screen and widescreen shots, but it just doesn't look good to me. Most of the time there is a cut where you would want a close-up so it's no big deal. I'll have to play with it a little more.

Work? Yep, everyday!! I sit in front of a computer most of the day looking up Mopar parts so I'm usually available.

Just threw together a rough edit of what MTHaslett posted. Getting a closer shot of Qui-Gon when he pulls his hood down will be hard to do seamlessly. That is all one shot and when I tried to split the video up to crop the frame it was jumpy. Reminded me of camcorder footage. I can crop the entire sequence. I'll see how that looks.

and the full screen version of the dvd would be very helpful about now.

I'll try to get a clip up tomorrow. Depends on how busy I am at work.

And lastly, the end of the cut scenes documentary on the TPM bonus disc has extra footage of the space battle and more Darth Maul fight footage. Are you planning on using that?

That footage is great, but a soundtrack would have to be created for it, since somebody is talking while they are showing the clips. You can hear it though, so someone would at least have something to go on.

I just watched the clip of qui-gon in return of the jedi. That was great, whoever did it. Can anybody link me to a thread or tutorial on the web of how to do this? There are a couple of places in my own edits that I would love to be able to do that very thing.

Love this thread. I don't agree with alot of things in it, but it is very interesting indeed!

Thanks,
