Star Wars: Renascent *** NOW AVAILABLE!!! ***
Time

I don't want my screen name or real name used in any form and here's why.

If you took the clips that I posted on the internet and dumped them in your project it's going to look like shit.

Those clips weren't posted to be used in a final product,  they were very rough drafts at best.  I don't want everyone to see those clips and think they represent exactly what ID and I were trying to do.  They most certainly do not!

If I would have had any idea that someone would take those clips and use them in their present form in a project I would never have posted them.  Especially the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan chase Zam in the speeders. Good lord I hope you didn't use this scene. I completely scraped the soundtrack and rebuilt it from the ground up.  It was only about 80% finished,  the effects were not complete the levels were wrong, etc, etc.......

I'll echo what ID said and voice my dismay about this being completed in a week?

Hahaha...Thanks!  We worked on it for three years, and I just finally got burned out on it when I realized that we weren't going to be able to change things to the extent that we really wanted to.

I was pretty much finished with all things Star Wars for quite a while.  I went off and did a couple of Indiana Jones edits by myself.  "Wandering in the wilderness".

Lately, I started getting into the Clone Wars TV show and it kind of rekindled my love for Star Wars again.  And since nothing has really materialized with anyone else's version of our idea, we were thinking of maybe doing a "compromise" version of Reborn.  Not the version we really wanted to do, but one more in the realm of possibility, just to be able to get our orginal ideas out there.

But I dunno.  We'll see.  I don't want to hook anybody until we have a finished product this time.  So, at this point, it's just something you may possibly see pop up in the future.

This time around we are talking about adding in flashbacks of the Christmas special to give Leia & Boba Fett's character more depth.

Mine is being edited in 5.1 surround sound and I have my 5.1 system hooked up to my computer so I can test each individual speaker as well. And regarding the music selection, I've got it down flat. I have about 20-30 GB of Instrumental music to chose from. And how am I putting it in? Mainly I'll be adding music to the scenes that lack it and I'll also be adding it to scenes where the music's volume is low and going through each audio channel and playing with the Frequency of each channel then putting 6 new audio channels through and adjusting the frequency of the music for each speaker again to give the best experience possible. (Subtle instruments in the back, drums from the base, strings from the front and vocal/choir from the center speaker). Do you guys know how to access the Equalizer for the Audio Frequencies of each individual audio channel using Vegas?

Well good luck with that.

Just add the eq audio effect to each track.  A $30 book on vegas from Amazon would do you wonders.

Cool, but what I'm asking is are you guys mixing in real-time?  A surround sound system hooked up to your computer?  I have mixed both ways with Vegas and if your mixing through headphones or a 2-channel system it sounds ok until you render it and play it back through a decent surround system.  It tends to fall apart then.  In a matter of speaking.

Just curious.

Help: looking for... HD VERSIONS

Let me explain to you.

Blu Ray does not look as great as everybody says they do. The big difference is how much blu ray holds i think like 2 or 3 times what a dvd can hold.

Their are many fan edits presented in hd for instance Darth Editious and Adaywans look better than the 2004 dvds.

The Original Unaltered Trilogy well lets just say we are all working on it. Ive tried my best to make the OT look better but dayamn I need the full anamorphic masters to do a good version. all i have is laserdisc and pan and scan.

The prequels are in standard dvd format so they look as good as a dvd can look. About High Def and or Blu Ray releases NOT YET. thank george lucas for the hold back on the releases. When GL releases SW on blu ray. Blu Ray will probably be obsolete so we will have to wait until their released on Red Ray.

I think that was the supidest post I've ever read on this forum.

Some movies are mixed with a discreet rear center channel and some are matrixed.  It just depends. I believe all three of the prequels were mixed in Dolby digital EX which is matrixed from the surround channels.

A-man -- You can't just load an avi into vegas and expect seperate audio channels.  You have to demux the vob and then split the ac3 file into six seperate waves.  It's really pretty simple and full proof. I've never had it fail.
