Ask the member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints AKA Interrogate the Mormon
Time

But I definitely agree, there is no threshold

Great!

(except admittedly we Mormons believe in a few essential ordinances).

Oh uh.... but you said.... that's a contradiction?

Christ is the judge if our actions were pure and motivated by faith.  He doesn't have a set scale for everyone.  He judges us individually. I also agree that if one is truly converted and has face in Christ, the good works will follow on their own, and any true disciple shouldn't even have to worry about how much good they are doing.  A true convert simply does good for the sake of love and discipleship.

It is helpful, in terms of motivation, to not have works and salvation so tied together.

If someone does not exercise good works, they are not exercising enough faith to truly accept Christ.

I think this is specifically where we differ - the idea that there's an "enough faith" threshold necessary. Protestants believe that good works and faith go hand in hand, though, because good works are the result of faith.

Is the Hobbit prequel trilogy suffering the same problems as the Star Wars prequel Trilogy?

BTW Is Cameron ever going to make those Avatar sequels? It's been nearly five years since the the movie came out, and that is not a good sign for a possible franchise.

Yeah, I've been wondering that for awhile now. He keeps talking about making them, but still isn't actually doing it.

The Hobbit is going to be able to be saved.  Imagine a fan edit coming in at about 2 hours.  There's a really strong story with great acting hidden inside all of that bloat.  The PT on the other hand...

I'd settle for a 4 hour film with intermission based on the Extended Editions

but yeah.

Clearly the stormtroopers of the OT are not the Aussie clones of the PT.

 You mean Kiwi.

Too bad New Zealanders are a bunch of cocky a-holes descended from criminals and retarded monkeys.

New Zealanders-  "Throw another shrimp on the barbie and ride around on your kangaroos all day."

No no no, you're thinking of Australians.

There are a few problems, even if I think it's a pretty solid theory

  • If Leia appears in the film not-in-evil-garb, how will she hide the mechanical parts? I guess w/ skin like Luke, but then why take it off when she's being evil?
  • If Leia does not appear earlier in the film, the graverobber's identity will be obvious. Everyone knows Carrie Fischer's in this film.

Aalenfae's PREQUEL TRILOGY (Heavily delayed - computer exploded)

I feel like a complete dweeb updating a months-old thread, but ... I'm back!

Well, I'd like to say "I'm back!" and I was going to upload some new, awesome stuff I've been working on in my absence, but it turns out that lighting struck my computer (almost literally), and a great deal of my prequel edit work was lost. HOWEVER, that does not mean that I will stop the edits. It just means that they will take a lot longer than expected. I intended to do a surprise release around the summer, but they'll likely take several months longer than that (and will perhaps be a little less extreme, but we shall see!)

In the meantime, I'd like to officially say that I'm back from my long time away, and in the coming months, you can expect some more cool stuff coming your way!

Oh man. How much was lost?

I just noticed, with timdiggerm's reposting, that the second picture (in his order) has what looks like a crashed Star Destroyer in the background. That should be interesting. And we now know what the pig things are going to be used for.

Interestingly, it's very clearly an EU Interdictor

It's actually set 5 years before ANH, not 10.

If that's the case, why does Obi-wan look so young?

Okay, I haven't actually seen the show, but after doing some quick reading, isn't his only appearance as a hologram recorded around or just after ROTS? So the message is something like 13 years old by the time it shows up on Rebels.
