Might I suggest that, at some point, we do a sort of Virtual Edition Style script? Check out the links of the left side of that site to see what I mean. Basically, an illustrated script, though I could do without all the click-throughs. That way, we can put up visualizations as they come. One of the problems with the Wishlist thread is a huge lack of organization. Maybe sequencing visualizations would help.
Apparently I am bad at reading today and shouldn't've said what I said. Thus...
December 24 - Christmas Eve
December 25 - Christmas
December 26 - Boxing Day

This last stretch of comments has made me LOL so hard, it's ridiculous.
Nothing is too ridiculous for a Revisited thread.
Question: How does Luke's bizarre, meeting-ending entrance into the DSII Briefing make sense if he didn't go anywhere between Tatooine and the Fleet? It's already ridiculous in the original cut.
Also, I'm really glad you liked my idea. I'm hoping we can find the right costumers to pull it off eventually.
EDIT: The idea of building the DSII anywhere near Corouscant is ridiculous. The thing is secret, and you're going to build it next to the most important, populous, busy planet in the galaxy?
I haven't had a chance to read the script, and won't until tonight at the earliest, but I had a thought Re: The Bothan Spies intro
So, other than the obvious problem of filming an entirely new intro sequence featuring the adventures of several actors in Bothan costumes, with props, blue screens, stormtroopers and more, there's the story problem of none of the main characters being present. This is a particularly difficult problem to overcome because we can really only film masked characters.
But what if Leia, in the Boushh armor, was part of the operation? By introducing Boushh early on as part of the Rebel Spy operation, the viewer will already consider Boushh a separate character, making the Leia-reveal more surprising. It doesn't resolve the "No Main Characters" problem for the first viewing, but it fixes it on subsequent viewings. It also gives us a new way to see Leia as a fighter, which I suppose is always good?
Boushh's final appearance in that sequence could involve getting into some sort of personal ship, receiving a message and looking at a hologram/photo of the Falcon parked on Tatooine. Hopefully aspersions could be cast on the character during the Bothan Operation scene, causing the audience to doubt Boushh's allegiance. The word "Bounty Hunter" could be used. On first view, the viewer should think "Oh no, this creepy bounty hunter has found the Falcon!", a thought which will be completed when he appears with Chewie. On second view, the viewer will know that Leia has been contacted and told where to meet Lando & Co.
I really would miss the Sith theme sped up if you got rid of that celebration.
For some reason, I had envisioned the Bothan Opening Sequence as taking place on Corouscant.
As for why: Helps tie the saga together. Helps make the closing shots of the riots a little more sensible.
Although it should be pointed out that in Spence's Special Features, he talks about the idea of leaving Fett in, having Han intentionally hit his jetpack, not showing him actually falling into the Sarlaac's maw, and then showing him regaining consciousness and watching the Skiff fly away at the end. He left it out because his edit became much more Luke-centric, but I do like the idea.

flip em all to make it look more authentic.
I'll always try to find an easier way before the suggestion new shots entrly btw
I'm sorry, but no. Flipping them doesn't look more authentic. For things like the Tantive Escape Pod, it will still be plenty easy to recognize.
Also, I don't really think it sounds particularly like Henson.
But Ady's reason is better.
Oh man, I had totally forgotten about the Bothan opening idea. People said that while it would be cool, if done right, it wouldn't feature any of the main characters and that is a problem, as it's not how Star Wars works. Any ideas on how to solve this? 3PO is the only solution I can think of, but I don't know why he'd be there or how to get him to Tatooine.
The Rule of Two really does set up a nice tension. Both Sidious and Vader are talking about how Luke could be a powerful asset and all that stuff, all the time avoiding the topic of replacement. "Oh you know, he could be a powerful asset, but totally not a replacement for you. I'm not implying that idea at all!"
blue waffle
EDIT: In my defense, I don't think twister's images had loaded before I hit reply.
I don't think that's quite necessary. It would probably be fine for him to be "Lord Sidious" in the PT and never referred to that way in the OT.
Two things:
1. Check out the shot of 3P0 with the skeleton. This shows the dirty look of that footage, yes?
2. Note the appearance of the Blockade Runner/Pirate Ship's prototype in that final card. Also, decapitated stormtrooper.
Oh, btw, I'm totally in. I can... Um... Well, I could probly sketch storyboards. I've done a little sound editing, but really only music. Oh, and I can write okay.
Right, this seems like a good way to build up a pile of resources for ROTJ edits. There might be a final cut resulting, but that almost seems secondary to providing editors with new footage to use.
By that logic, you have probably shaken the hand of everyone who ever lived in a handshaking culture.
So...that guy + bluescreen = another part of PT:R? One can dream.

If they have metallic gloss, you probably can't really scan them properly.
Just thought I'd point out that in the world of trading cards, they'll sometimes release the metallic ones and the regular ones, because the world of collecting is insane. Obviously we want the regular type.
I think it would make a little more sense to have the Rebellion using a few Venator or Victory class ships than any Victories or older showing up on the Imperial side of things. That being said, having wedge-shapes on both sides, while maybe logical, would be visually confusing. When you're making a movie, having easy-to-understand visuals is far more important.
