In Australia, we have G for General Exhibition, PG for Parental Guidance Recommended, M-15+, MA-15+, and R-18+.

So when an American says something about an R-rating, I immediately think, WHAT?! That's not porn!

Yeah, I'm a Nirvana man. I'm a fan of the whole grunge scene, really. Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, you name it.

I'm going on a trip to Japan/America in December, and I'll be staying in Seattle for 5 weeks. Does anyone know any grunge landmarks I should visit?

I think this is happeing, to an extent. It seems to me that The Phantom Menace was really disliked at first, but now people have mellowed and are starting to like it more. Sure, JarJar is still just as hated, but once the unrealistically high expectations wore off, people don't dislike it as much anymore. Now Clones I think has gone down a bit in people's estimation. Have to see about III. But I doubt the prequels will ever reach the level of the classic trilogy. But since they are attached to the classic, they won't be be forgotten, like they more likely would have if they were some generic sci-fi film.

I watched Menace the other day...and I must say, there are the bare-bones of a good movie there, it's just polluted with so much muck that it's irredeemable.

Preservation of the prequels is best left to fans of the prequels. A vast majority of people (if not, everybody) on here preserve the O-OT because they have a deep appreciation for it. Why else would one put that much effort into it?

I disown the prequels as 'true' Star Wars movies, mostly because it failed to live up to the OT and its glaring continuity errors in the backstory.

I contend that GL should have left ROTJ open for sequels, and then made them when he wanted to come back to it. If he had this attitude, he might have kept his ESB crew to his side for ROTJ...

Alien vs. Predator 2 scared the crap out of me before I completed it, and it still does sometimes. Some serious heart-rate going on. It's a very well-balanced game in terms of the differences between the three races. And the levels tie in with each other. Reminds me of Starcraft. The Marines would be the Terran, the Aliens would be Zerg, and the Predators would be Protoss.

And on the subject of which Street Fighter games I like - pretty much all of them (although the voice-overs in Super Street Fighter really annoyed me). But my FAVOURITES are Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 2 & 3, and Capcom vs. SNK 2.

I also believe that Jake Lloyd was cast because he resembled a young version of Sebastian Shaw. Jake Lloyd doesn't really look like the boy who became Hayden Christensen, but he does look like the boy who became Sebastian Shaw.

Not that I liked Jake Lloyd or anything, but come on...

Yeah, when I found out that they were filming a great deal of it in Australia, I wanted to be Anakin in II and III. I was the right age for it, and I have Luke-ish hair, blue eyes, yada yada yada.

Yeah, I think Lucas is a liar when it comes to 'original vision' and things like that. I believe that his divorce was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. I think that's when he decided to make ROTJ the final Star Wars. I bet he regretted it by the time he wanted to make more Star Wars movies, and the prequels became his only option.

You guys really should take the time to read my story rewrites of Episodes I and II. They are pretty much exactly what you want. This is what should have happened:

Obi-wan finds Anakin as a mid-to-late-teenager
Anakin becomes Obi-wan's pupil, learns the way of the Jedi
Separatist coup on Queen Amidala's home planet
Separatists secede from Republic
Anakin and Obi-wan are sent on a rescue mission to save Queen Amidala (this is an opportunity to simultaneously develop the relationships of Anakin and Obi-wan, as well as Anakin and Padme)
Palpatine becomes Supreme Chancellor of Senate (or President, or whatever)
The machinations of the Clone Wars set in motion

That allows Episode II to actually be about the Clone Wars, and gives Anakin and Padme plausible time to fall in love and get married yada yada yada...

Not tied down to much except setting up Luke and Leia's birth via a marriage with royalty if you ask me.
