In the duel between Luke and Vader, add the unused score. If you look up Boba Fett’s departure, you’ll find the video with the music. Just listen till you hear a new part. Also, add back Temuera Morrison’s voice, since you’re using versions without his voice.

I despise temura’s dub makes me want to jump off a cliff.
Also I will listen to the unused score

Have you considered using D+80 as your source for theatrical shots?

This maybe a conversational opinion, But frankly but the D+ preservations don’t look that good.
You can see the salvaged DNR and added grain as well as faulty rotoscoping.
So no I wont be using that as a source, Also 4K80 is nearly finished.

Color Match software (for matching 4k80 to blu-ray): Dr dre’s color match tool.
Color grading software: Davinci Resolve 17.

Can you describe your workflow of color matching every shot of a film. I’ve used Dr.Dre’s color matching tool to do brief scenes, but how would you do it for entire movie and how long does it usually take for you?

Okay, So first I get the two shots I want to match, Remember SHOTS not scenes. and then match the frame, Usually matching the Blu-ray to the 4kXX source (THIS CAN BE REVERTED LATER) then I color match them is dre’s tool, after that I export the LUT and do some tweaks in resolve, sometimes when I press the “build color matching” button and it gives me a bad result, If you press it again it fixes it. so yeah thats how to do it. also it usually take like 10 minutes for each shot, If the shot is hard and needs masks, that would take like 30 mins.

I would like to recommend adding the Imperial March/ Darth Vader’s theme when he walks through the exploded door. My favorite one that I would suggest is Imperial Starfleet Destroyed , although you could look it up and find some cool results on YouTube.

Yeah I was thinking about that might do it actually.

Maybe I’m getting my colors mixed up, it could’ve been grey. I know that there was some sort of weird tent. Regardless, I’m glad you’re making this project.

Actually, The GOUT is quite different in color than the theatrical versions, Which did have a strong teal tint.

Mr.9000 is correct, those flashes are amazing! They’re even better than Adywan’s! I love how it goes from red to purple to blue, it just blends amazingly!

Thanks.

Yes, I agree. It looks fantastic. However, this is supposed to be a reconstruction of the GOUT, which is the 1977 cut of the film, and I remember that version of the film having a sort of blue tint/shadow over the film. I’m actually glad you removed that, as that looked horrible.

That was actually added for the blu-ray
