There will be a lot more news when we get around to that part of the project.
The software is smart enough to layer the data, and you can selectively pick out parts to be replaced.
It's a lot more sophisticated that just simple math models like averaging. Although it will need more manual intervention to look good.
There was a lot of damage on reel 3, so that part will be improved greatly.
The intro is also greatly improved. We had some damage on reel 5, that
was a small spot, but went through most of the reel. That can fixed easily
now.

If you read the initial post. The person sent it to an invalid and incorrect user that has a full mailbox.
The proper address works as intended judging from the multiple responses that worked correctly.

1) ONLY A FEW PEOPLE actually included an email.
We sent back replies requesting an email.
If you don't have a working email, you can't get
the rules and regulations to accept.
Once you send that in, you should be good.
2) Don't forget to include some background about yourself
and Star Wars if you are a new member, or haven't posted much.
3) Most of you should be in now.
We understand a few have had issues with the videos, but
there are direct download links for them.
Also, some are having login, commenting or seeing issues
with the posts. We are working on figuring out what could
be causing that.
The majority of users haven't expressed any issues though.
So trying a different browser, or setting compatibility on IE
could fix the problem.
We'll keep the admissions open for awhile, so people that want
to get in, should be able too.
Of course, we'd like to see more comments and requests about
the material, and also, you can Star the posts, and also vote
on other comments, if you feel you don't have much to say,
or that you like other comments.
We can't do all the talking by ourselves. We have a ton of material
and want you to be interested in discussing it.
The upcoming posts will be highlighting the private screening of
the LPP print. This is a great reference, and answered a lot of
our questions about what the print should look like. We think
you'll agree, that this project will have the most true to the
original presentation look, that ANY restoration has seen yet.
