The crawl is a frame by frame transfer and matches our film. There was a large overlap of Amps members, so that's why we are including them.

The preview is nearly 3 Gigs, so we need to take that into account for the upload.

We will be using AMPSdeux at Reddit for more detailed updates once the previews start.

Thanks for the people that sent in updates, we have your information.

Just finished:

==================

Will be uploading this week, and sending out notices.

We have put the early Trailer in front of it. There is a possibility that the preview might be removed for copyrights (it's happened before).

We will then provide mirrors for downloads depending on that, or a WeTransfer link will be sent out.

Hello OT fans,

We have some major news to report.

We are completing our first Workprint, that contains 90%+ cleaned footage. The rest is substituted with unfinished rough work, and footage from Eastman prints.

It looks stunning so far, with many shots not having been seen in this condition since the early release of the film in theaters. It's good to welcome back our old good friend, the original Star Wars after 38+ years.

Next Stage

------------------------------------------

We will be closing in finishing the cleaned reels in the next month or so, and then we can start the second pass, and assembling the footage for the first preview.

Since we are nearing the end of this phase, there will be less previews, as we've shown footage from all the reels, so further ones aren't needed.

We will be hard at work, doing the polishing, and replacement shots, and evaluating other factors. The final film should be about 75-80% of the LPP, and 20-25% replacements shots from other sources.

We will definitely be looking at a pure LPP, and Grindhouse version releases at a later point in time.

For Blog Members

==================================

Once we are ready to move onto the second stage, we'll announce to people who will be getting the preview.

It's been a long journey of several years, so we're glad for all the patient members that have stuck with us, and also for the new members looking forward to this.

Future Projects

====================================

The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi will probably be done in parallel, with Jedi possibly be finished sooner.

There will be a second release of Empire Strikes Back, with improvements before the final one to hold people over.

====================================

We have a lot more Star Wars related surprises in the works, so look forward to announcements about those.

In the near distant future, we see Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the other 3 movies coming also.

Thanks to Everyone

---------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to the OT community, and for all the support.

For previous Blog members, you will be hearing from us shortly, concerning the Reel 1 Private preview. We are considering more down the line, we'll see how this goes first.

May the Force be with you.

An update on recent developments.

============================

Reel 1 - Completed First Pass

Reel 2 - Completed First Pass

Reel 3 - Approaching 95% completion

Reel 4 - Approaching 50% completion  (Might be more).

Reel 5 - Completed First Pass

Reel 6 - Started, End Credits done +  10 min - 60% completion

We are anticipating Reel 6, to be done in a few weeks, along with Reel 3, which leaves Reel 4.

After that we are putting together a first workprint, and will decide on which scenes will be replaced from a high quality Eastman print.

Once we have that candidate done, we will assemble it, and do a review, and then it will go off for Color Correction, and then cropping, and stabilization.

Then we can review an internal release candidate, and perhaps to a few other people. After that it will be off to the Blog members, and then a general release after that.

No timeframes for the other parts, but we want to move things along to get the other projects started and progressing also.

The previews being posted in parts are basically the same. We are just assembling them together with sound, so you already have an idea of what it will appear like without having to wait.

There are more previews of Reel 6 coming. We just checked out the first 4 minutes, and the last 5 (excluding credits), and it is shaping up to be great.

We have hit a milestone with the first pass of Reel 1.

------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Temporary sound has been added.

2 The intro (Fox/Lucasfilm/ALTA/Crawl) still has a few more fixes.

3 No grain reduction.

4 Original starfield scenes (which are going to have some replacements)

5 720p, cropped, and possible slight color correction done to it.

===========================================

We have analyzed the entire LPP, and it matches all the GOUT frames, except a few from the end of reel changes. So this means it should be easy for people to make it GOUT compatible when it gets to that point.

===========================================

We are proud to reach this point, and as a Thank You to our followers;

We are going to have a special preview sent to the previous Blog members, keep watch for an announcement about that.

Thanks for all the support, and we look forward to providing more previews and samples. At this point in time, we are still working on the other reels, so this will probably be the only one previewed for the time being.

There will be shorter samples put up, especially of Reel 6, which has a lot of interesting shots.
