T-HOPE ULTIMATE TERMINATOR PROJECT (Mainly Released)
Time
maurice2029, sorry to hear about your tech problems. I've had the similar thing happen to me once. I was waiting for new clips to arrive for years literally (thanks to lazy "fans") and in the meantime my files got corrupted and lost many rare videos. I learned 2 things from it:
1-always backup important materials
2-try finishing the project ASAP and later revisit it if needed

Alien Appendix #3: The Alien Archive (Released)
Time
Hey guys! Any news on new Appendix disc? Maybe this will put us into the gear... I just got hold of a Betacam sourced 22 minute documentary "Aliens vs Predator: Dissected". Surprisingly it concentrated mostly (70-80%) on alien and predator franchises then AVP 2 itself. There are many short vintage behind the scenes and interview segments that are recycled from previous materials, but some I didn't recognise from the first glance. Anyhow, I think it would be a nice edition to our Appendix discs. I also got Directv Aliens Spoof Ad in better quality then the one on youtube (it's flv file, though).

maurice2029, the error message you're getting might be related to the bitrate of the multiplexed mpeg2/ac3 clips. It may just be too high for the software to handle (and might not be compliant to DVD specs). Solution is to find the file that gives you an error mesage during compiling process and make ac3 (or alternatively mpeg2) file with smaller bitrate, so when it's multiplexed the combined audio/video bitrate is within DVD specs.

Star Tours, Muppet*vision 3-D, Terminator 3-D, Back to the Future - The Ride, Captain EO, etc (Some Project Releases)
Time
It's a shame BTTF the Ride is closing. It's still one of the top 5 rides of all time. Does anyone have any TV news footage on the closing commemoration? Fans in USA can enter the sweepstakes and win a deLorean (see below)

On August 2, 2007, Universal Studios Hollywood commemorated the closing of Back to the Future the Ride with Christopher Lloyd and another actor portraying Doc Brown returning to the Institute of Future Technology to set a clock tower to commemorate the final days of the ride in Hollywood. The Clock will be set to Labor Day September 3, 2007, at 8:00pm the final day of the attraction. [1] In addition, Universal Studios celebration with a sweepstakes where the grand prize winner would receive a classic 1981 De Lorean DMC-12, like the one used in the film, while the second and third place winners would receive commemorative Back to the Future Trilogy DVD's.

30th Anniversary DVD Idea
Time
I've only seen tv spots for CNBC's "On the Money SW special" but even though I watched it at the announced time, it never aired (at least not in my region). Couldn't find a single clip of it on the internet, but here is an official info:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/18897013

There is another Lucas approved "special" - The Apprentice : Store Wars, that you can find funny SW themed spot at youTube. Torrents are also available. Never saw the show, though. I was wondering what are "Rev. Tech exclusive web docs"... any connection to Discovery channel's "science of SW" docs?

The Apprentice : Store Wars
First aired: 11/10/2005 Production Code: 408A

The players undertake one of the coolest tasks ever on The Apprentice - the marketing of the DVD for the latest installment in the movie franchise Star Wars using posters. Excel hits trouble when they miss their meeting with high-power executives due to a judgement error from Project Manager Brian. Later, Marshawn bails out on her team when she backs out of doing the presentation, forcing Rebecca to make up for her slack in under an hour. Although Rebecca pulls through with an understandably mediocre presentation, Excel loses the task and are sent to the boardroom, where they square off with each other in a figurative lightsaber battle. Because of their mistakes, a dissapointed Trump fires both Brian and Marshawn.

Help: looking for...Ferris Bueller bonus material - anyone, anyone?
Time
Thanks for a tip regarding the music videos. I'll check them out, but as far as I can remember those, they haven't had any Ferris clips. The spin off series was really unwatchable and is not of interest for this project. The original DVD release has newly created featurettes with some segments from vintage Electronic press Kit (see below). If we could get our hands on the EPK that'd be nice...

"Getting the Class Together: The Cast of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" - featurette (27.44)
"The Making of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" - featurette (15.26)
"Who is Ferris Bueller?" - featurette (9.06)
"The World According to Ben Stein" - featurette (10.51)
"Vintage Ferris Bueller: The Lost Tapes" - featurette (10.01)
"Class Album" - photo gallery (18 images)

Help: looking for...Ferris Bueller bonus material - anyone, anyone?
Time

Hello folks! I’m thinking of doing “Ferris Bueller’s day off” DVD with unreleased stuff, but so far I couldn’t track much footage. It’s amazing how little material exists for such a cult comedy (all I know of are the segments below). If anyone has anything from the list or even knows of something else please let me know. Thanks!

  • “I Love the '80s - 1986” is the seventh episode of VH1’s nostalgia series I Love the '80s (features Ferris segment)
  • "Bravo’s “100 Funniest Movies” (Ferris is #54)
  • “VH1 Goes Inside: Hot Movie Dancing” (features Ferris segment with Mia Sara interview, will be getting it soon)
  • “She’s having a baby” (has exclusive Ferris & parents clips at the end credits)
  • original trailer (the only item I have so far)

maurice2029, have you thought ofusing menu templates from original terminator DVD releases? (You'd just need to do some photoshoping and adjsut your layout in DVD producing software). This way you'd preserve the look of official releases

klokwerk, in Last Action Hero T-1000 appears briefly at the front gate of the police station (Sharon Stone's character from Basic instinct is there too).

T-HOPE ULTIMATE TERMINATOR PROJECT (Mainly Released)
Time
okay, here is an additional info:

EXPLORING MENU ENVIRONMENTS (9:54)
CONTENT PRODUCTION - VAN LING (14:45)

This is taken from obscure but official DVD that explains the production of DVDs (interactive menus in particular).
First one has T2 ultimate edition menu structure with narration about the process.
Second one is an interview with van Link, author of James Cameron DVDs.
None of it is much interesting really,

TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES

HOLLYWOOD STARS: PREVIEW (6:02)
MOVIE TELEVISION: PREVIEW (2:34)
TEASER TRAILER (0:50)
FEATURETTE: PROLOGUE (2:10)

First 2 are from 2 different film shows, I believe they have some exclusive interviews. Last two are from EPK I think.

TV SPECIAL: MTV - MAKING THE MOVIE (20:11)
MTV: PREVIEW (2:47)

I believe this is much better then a regular VHS tape rip.
Many of the interview segments are usually repetetive, taken from generic PRESS interviews, but some newsreports feature exclusives.

B-ROLL (EPK) (22:06)

This is unedited behind the scenes footage that the whole world used for newsreports. Frankly this is the material I always treasure the most.
I have everything on one DVD which I'll send over to you ... check out you email
