I don't raelly know about Detroit. Yes, they're a solid team, but you have to take their record with a grain of salt. Sure, they've won 57 games, but with this year's division-centric schedule, think of how many times they've played Columbus, Chicago, and St. Louis! I'm calling Dallas and Calgary in the West Final.

And in the East? Ottawa and New Jersey.

EDIT: Hasek's not going to be ready for the playoffs. Well, there goes Ottawa.

Even if Hasek gets back (they expect him for Tuesday against the Rangers), he's still going to be a liability because he's the weak point. Granted, I think part of that deals with the rules this season, and the distinct lack of protection for goalies, but whatever.

We'd do well together, Shim. I know the East, and you know the West.

I really want to say Ottawa all the way, but when they lose 6 of 7 down the stretch, it's hard to cheer for them.

I don't know that Buffalo will even be playing Phillie. Both Phillie and Jersey are only one point behind the Rangers now.

San Jose, though, Shim, I agree, will go far this year. They looked like a lock before the season started, then they ended up being stinkers till Thorton came around. Now nothing can stop the Cheechoo train!

And I know why you laugh at Dion. I remember watching that replay over and over. But seriously, a rookie defenceman with 20 goals? In Calgary? THat's huge!

"If all goes well..." How many times have I heard that before. My brother's diabetic, and it went undiagnosed for a long time because he had just had surgery (here's where the quote comes in) that, well, went wrong and he got a blood infection from it. He went from about 180lbs to just over 100 in the span of about six months. The doctors didn't know what to do and were about to put him on a binge junk food diet. It was at this point that one of the doctors (oddly, the one who screwed up the surgery in the first place) suggested they test his urine. Two days later, they called him back to the hospital to start treatment for diabetes.

Well, it's hitting a nice 15 here this weekend, and it's warm and sunny, I'm happy.

I listened to your file, Dayv, and I too hope that the displaced Minnesota North Stars do well again this year, and if all goes well, I hope to see them almost make it past the second round. I'm still calling Ottawa, though. I've been waiting twelve long years for a real shot at the cup.
