The Things We Hate And Love Thread .

Well yes, you can do that, but then you have to print them out and send them in. It's not much more work for you, but it costs the government more to have someone inputting all the numbers and that at the other end. With electronic returns, there's no paper at either end, and I get my refund cheque much sooner....and I can leave my taxes until the last day and still get them done.

I hate noobs.

Big deal, Dayv. There was nothing on the line anyway. How many times were Edmonton goals disallowed down the stretch? At least three times.

That's the way things go.

Of course, if Edmonton had missed the playoffs by a point, I would have been rank pissed.

EDIT: While we're here, award predictions? Calder? Hart? Vezina?

GOLD LEADER: (over speaker) Red Leader, this is Gold Leader. We're starting our attack run.

RED LEADER: I copy, Gold Leader. Move into position.

VADER: Stay in attack formation!

GOLD LEADER: The exhaust post is marked and locked in! Switch power to front deflector screens. How many guns do you think, Gold Five.

GOLD FIVE: I'd say about twenty guns. Some on the surface, some on the towers.

OT.com Hockey Playoff Pool RULES IN FIRST POST
Time
Alright, so here's the deal. We'll be doing both a team-ranking pool, and a box selection pool. I was going to do them through Hockeydraft.ca, but since and I don't really like their system, I'm doing it my way. Besides, doing it myself is not only good experience, but I don't have to pay anything either.

Here's how it's going to work: Download the Box Selection Sheet or the Team Ranking Sheet from Rapidshare (sorry, I know. Make sure to go "Free") or Savefile (Box or Rank). If the pages look familiar, it's because I stole them from hockeydraft.ca. The rules are laid out on each sheet. Then e-mail it back to me, and I'll input the data.

There will be no trades at the end of each round. If your guy gets knocked out, tough luck for you!

Each day, I'll update THIS POST with the new standings and leaderboard.

If there are any questions, feel free to ask. I'll be accepting entries until Friday.

Well, you watch the tapes, duh

But seriously, what I'm worried about right now is that Montreal might not make it. Iff Atlanta beats Washington tonight and Pittsburg tomorrrow, Tampa beats Washinton tomorrow, and Montreal loses to New Jersey tomorrow, Montreal will get bumped right out. Now, that might seem like a lot of ifs, but it could happen.

And hey, if your prediction is correct, then tonight's Dallas-Detroit game will be a decent preview.

BEAUTIFUL WOMEN NEW RULES IN FIRST POST (NSFW) UPDATED RULES

Two great reasons to watch "8 Rules". You know, that show is really good. It's like Family Ties, but current. And really, to go on after the daeth of Ritter, that could have killed any lesser series, but the writers and cast took it in stride and really took that show beyond being a Ritter showcase and into its own. In twenty years, "8 Rules" will be remembered as one of those greats the way we look at Family Ties and those.

I really didn't like this year's schedule, honestly. I mean, it's one thing in a close division like the Atlantic, having the Rangers, Devils and Flyers playing each other every couple weeks, but in divisions like Detroit's, it's not as much fun to watch. I also didn't like that their weren't a whole lot of east-west games this year. Sure, it cuts down on travel time and that, but I would have liked to have seen Ottawa play Dallas, or the Flyers play Detroit more often.
