Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) - I use this movie as a sort of cathartic escape from my lonliness.

Naqoyqatsi (2002) - The weakest of Reggio’s Qatsi trilogy. There’s some really great visual stuff, but also lots of lazily used, over-filtered stock footage.  However, there is also another A+ score, good job Phillip Glass.

The Great American Solar Eclipse, 2017
Time

I was in an 85%-ish zone, and thankfully I had real glasses and not fake ones. I’m statistically likely to have bad eye problems in the future anyway (thanks Marfan syndrome!) so I’m very glad my eyes are still fully functional for now. I’m also glad that I’ll be in the totality line for the 2024 eclipse, provided I don’t move too far away between now and then.

So far this thread can be summed up as follows:

A bunch of yaks and shills being castigated for eating the same dog food, film after film.
Their reply?
“But it’s good dog food!”

Oh well. Disney, please announce another rehash before the end of this year. How about a Bib Fortuna movie. Throw these dogs a frickin’ bone.

Why do you even read these threads? Surely you have better things to do with your life.

He sees us as unenlightened fools in Plato’s Cave, which he must rescue, as if our opinions on space adventure movies are so important as to require his correction and enlightenment.

“I’m working on that. The True Lies Blu-ray and the Abyss Blu-ray have sort of fallen off my to-do list, getting one, not two, but four Avatar sequels stood up and going.

In the time it’s taking him to do any of this, I could’ve made four movies of me just rolling my eyes and released them in 4K.
