I choose 2.
I choose 2.
Hey, which one sucks the least: 1, 2, 3, or 4? I’m thinking 3 or 4.
Smh, what if someone wanted a Coke from the machine? Get out of the way, man! 😛
Hi Possessed.
I’m a good boy who has never had the alkyhols.
Canon is fake, I do what I want.
I’ve found clips of the special amusing in isolation, but have never watched the entire thing.
I have a mugshot.
Take it to the “What do you look like?” thread.
That sucks. Maybe the cop had a slow day and thought “Hey, there was that punk that hit me the other day. I could do something about him!”
Sorry Ash.
Federally dismantled by who? The Vatican is its own sovreign state.

I think I may have to seek out this “film”. 😉
The filmmaker told us that there is a version available to stream on Amazon that was cut by… someone (it was a long story involving Fangoria), and that my class screening was of the rare director’s cut that I guess only he has.
Wait, is that your script or theirs?
Theirs, lol. It’s about rednecks going spelunking in a haunted cave.
EDIT: Lol, forgot the best lines!
The two brothers approach the tiny hole in the cave wall. The first fails to break it any larger after several strikes with a pickaxe. The brother then says:
“Good thing I was a college athlete while you were collecting Boba Fetts. Now let a real man pop this cherry!”
Do you ever show your scripts to anyone?
I’ve posted a few here, and sent others to some friends.
From your description, Ted The Caver could be the next Manos: The Hands of Fate, or The Room. A cinematic trainwreck one can’t look away from.
The script is certainly as bad.
“That’s a virgin passage. No one’s been in it.”
“How do you know?”
“Look at it, I can barely squeeze my dick in it!”

The kitten who was injured last week has made an astonishing recovery. He’s back on his feet and walking, even running. His gait’s unsteady, but he’s clearly not paralyzed.
I truly thought he was a goner. I’ve had two cats in the past die within a day of similar injuries, and they were both full-grown adults.

Sorry!
Settle in folks, and I’ll tell you about some of the wildest cognitive dissonance I’ve ever had. I’m a student at the University of Arkansas, where David Hunt, the director of this film, graduated from. Naturally, he came to my class as a guest speaker. He’s a very passionate, knowledgable man. Clearly he cares a lot for the medium, and if from such humble beginnings he was able to make his own indie films, surely I could too someday.
Well, then we watched the movie, and it was a steaming pile. I could go on and on about the horrible script, the contrived family drama, the ugly cinematography (most of the movie is in a cave, and very little is visible, resulting in incoherent sequences), the mere fact that the film was based on an early “creepypasta” (eugh), the horrible, ableist way the main characters treat their poor uncle, and so many more problems, but I’m too tired too. This is a very bad movie. And watching it, knowing the director and his story, is one of the most depressing things I’ve ever experienced.
I feel now that I will never make a good film, and every crappy script draft I type out is a waste of time, because if this is the kind of work I put out, I don’t want it.
And I try to seperate the no-budget nature of this (under $100k I think he said), but I’m not sure any budget could have salvaged a project so ill-concieved.
i’m glad this thread exists because now i can finally ask: what is criterion?
From their website:
The Criterion Collection is a continuing series of important classic and contemporary films on home video. Our editions often include restored film transfers along with commentary tracks and other kinds of supplemental features, which we pioneered with the release of our first laserdiscs, Citizen Kane and King Kong, in 1984. Ever since, Criterion has been working closely with filmmakers and scholars to ensure that each film is presented as its maker would want it seen and published in an edition that will deepen the viewer’s understanding and appreciation of the art of cinema.

I’m really looking forward to the November (I think?) release of Andrei Rublev. And how about that upcoming Bergman box set? 🤤
Oh man, you’re in for a treat! Sandman is amazing. Volume 4 (“Season of Mists”) and Volume 7 (“Brief Lives”) are my favorites, but they’re all great.
I just read Volume 4. It’s easily my favorite so far. O man.
Anyway, here are some other things I’ve been reading:
An unfortunately re-re-renumbered Justice League title (#1-7) - Good art, perfunctory story with good ideas under the surface that just don’t have the breathing room they need., but great characterization for most of the team.
The Immortal Hulk - I’ve never been a big Hulk fan, but this new run is interesting.
B. M. Bendis’ Superman titles (Superman #1-2, Action Comics #1001-1002) - Mostly good, with some fantastic art by Ivan Reis and Pat Gleason respectively, but several weird narrative choices make me scratch my head for now at least.
Marvel 2-in-One - Originally this title was brought back to tide fans over until the full Fantastic Four returned after a bizarre absence from Marvel’s line, but it’s actually rather impressed me. Very heartfelt. My biggest problem with it is the way it handles Dr. Doom, though that’s someone else’s fault from a year or two ago, and I don’t feel like finding out why he briefly called himself the “Infamous Iron Man” because it’s stupid.
Fantastic Four #646 - The first new issue was good, but some previews and solicitations of upcoming issues have me worried about the direction Dan Slott is going to take them.
Justice League Dark - This was an interesting story about the magical fantasy side of the DCU, but news of it already going into a crossover event after only three issues has all but killed my interest in it for now.
Mister Miracle continues to be the best book DC is putting out right now. I hate to see it end so soon with only two issues left.
Captain America #705-7 - Ta-Nehisi Coates is doing a great job making this a highly nuanced tale that reflects on modern America. “I shouldn’t be surprised by awful things anymore.” “The day you are no longer surprised is the day Captain America dies.”
Border Town - thoroughly impressive first issue to a new Vertigo series. Infuses Mexican folklore into teen drama and pulls no punches when it comes to issues plaguing Latinx-Americans and immigrants today. This book is going to be something truly special.
‘Nike sales surge 31% in days after Colin Kaepernick ad unveiled, analyst says’…
I am not surprised.
“The worst thing about that isn’t that two years later we’re still debating whether players have the right to protest,
I didn’t think we were debating that. Of course they have the to protest(which includes during the Anthem).
Did you make the same mistake again? 😛
Could be a different frame, a different take, a still from the set, or just a different image used because, as Wook said, the version in the movie itself is rather gory.
Personally, I think boycotting Nike is misdirected outrage, and that this outrage is just a fad. So many consumer boycotts come and go, and next year no one will remember this one. Being angry at Nike is just the recent popular thing to do.
I have as just as much to protest via boycott as those that protest via disrespecting the Anthem.
Did you intentionally say that you have just as much to protest, or did you mean to say that you have just as much right to protest? Possessed has contacted me via email saying that there was miscommunication here. Not that he’s trying to undo his ban, he understands the reason for it and that he did break the rules, but he would like to know if this is the way you intended to phrase the post, as he says the inclusion of the word right would likely have gotten a less intense reaction from him.
Melies was way ahead of any horror filmmaker. 😉
Was the hand tinted version lost for any period of time? All I ever saw was a black and white version over the years.
I think it was only found in the 90s.
