I was pretty “meh” on it. Everyone else in my theater seemed to really like it, and I’m glad they did. I’m glad many of you like Solo so much. It just didn’t do anything for me.
Really hated that they fridged two of the women, though.
There were groans in my theater during her “equal rights” joke, and there were cheers when L3 died.

At a local thrift store I found a tape of the SLV that was still in the shrinkwrap and had an intact Paramount logo seal, so it’s never been played. Does there exist a project anywhere to restore STVI in something closer to Meyer’s preferred aspect ratio? I read somewhere that he preferred something around 1.85-2.0, but the Blu-Ray, at least the one I have, seems to be in 2.35 or so.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I spent last summer at AGS, which was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had the privelege of being a part of. A few minutes ago, another student messaged me to tell me that one of my teachers died. His name was Jim Rush, and his was probably the most gentle soul I’ve ever encountered. I hope this turns out to be a misunderstanding, and that reports of his death are greatly exaggerated, but as is, I’m gutted right now.

I was too afraid to ask my parents if I could see the first one when it came out, and I just never did see it. Now, I could, except I grew weary of Deadpool and his schtick after reading just a handful of comics with him, so I just don’t care to see it.
