I hope Frank Oz enjoys a Yoda life span, but I fear an obituary would use CGI Yoda and footage of his Muppet characters with their current performers.

I think ROTJ Yoda ghost will be the most popular SW image used in that event, hopefully with Hayden cropped out.

Hopefuy with the success of the main saga films like TFA, Disney will become confident enough to really take risks with the spinoffs.

Also, is his username implying that he’s a fan of Brightest Day, the DC comic crossover from a few years back? Not that it’s really that bad, I actually quite enjoyed early issues of it, but then it became boring and forgettable, leading up to a stupid ending.

Last night I saw the weirdest epitaph for Baker on another site, and put a picture of prequel CG R2 with it.

“The Beep has ended, but the sound shall linger on for a long time. RIP Kenny Baker”

Personally, I don’t really want spinoffs centered around established characters. Rogue One has a mostly new group of characters (AFAIK there’s only one guy from a Clone Wars episode or something, and Vader will probably be just a cameo), and I wish all the spinoffs would be the same way.

Also, how old was Baker? Scrolling through Twitter I’ve seen some articles and tweets saying 81, others 83. Wikipedia says 81, is this correct?

Rogue One looks great. I’m ambivalent towards the idea of a Han Solo spinoff, but they’ve got good people behind it, so I’m somewhat interested. If the third spinoff is indeed Boba Fett, I’ll most likely skip it, or at the very least I’ll skip opening weekend. I’m just not at all interested in seeing more of that character.
