Am I turning to the darkside?
Time
I'm sorry to hear you caved. I personally have 0% interest in this set. I'm not exactly a videoaphobe, so I'll watch my VHS copies (should I ever need a fix of the OOT) and be content. Isn't it odd, I have 0% interest? I love SW but I already own the DVD set...I just don't see the need. There's nothing new on these dvds that I don't already own.

Next year's set may be another story though.

2006 OT DVD: Poll: So What are You Going to Do?
Time
I won't be buying the new DVDs. I already own the original set on VHS and quite honestly I find myself watching the SE 100% of the time. I can't even remember when I watched the OOT. Do some of the SE changes irk me? Sure. But I can live with it. If the OOT comes out on next year's set that'll be fine with me. I'll buy the 2007 set so long as they're are all the cut scenes I've been looking for.

What are you going to do with your SE discs?
Time
You can't please all the people all the time. So therefore I guess Lucas has the mentality..of screw it. I'm done with these nut jobs. Like he said at C3..."The point of the movies is to get on with your lives, to take that challenge, to leave your uncle's moisture farm, to go out in the world and change it to save the universe." Not to bable on and on about how Star Wars isn't this this and how it's not that. Some people get so worked up over a film. Although, I do understand.

The AT-ST - sound effects request
Time
Yea yeah..I've already got those two pair. I'm looking for more....that is...if... there's more and if there's any out there of higher quality. I've got probably a good 30 seconds to a minute to cover and having those 2 pair of sounds well...it will get a bit repetitious. I know I can bend the pitch and speed them up. I'm just curious if there's a solution already out there to save on time. But thanks for posting the links anyway. It's a shame I already have them.

I'm keeping my SE discs thanks. I love the OT. I love that Han shot first. But I admit that I like most of the SE additions with the exception of Greedo shooting first and some bad sabers. I have the OT unaltered on VHS from way back, but I always end up watching the SE versions. Even when the SE came out on VHS that's what I watched. I think I've seen watched original OT once since the SE came out and that's it.

Do I want the originals out on DVD? Sure I do. I even signed the petition. Why sign the petition if I'm just going to watch the SEs? Because if I want to watch the OTs, I'll have them to watch. It's that plain and simple.

Does it bother me that the new OT DVD set is not cleaned up, anamorphic and in 5.1 surround sound? No. But would I like it that way? Sure.

There you have it...from a fan that saw Star Wars back in 1977 on day one. I'm vintage, but I enjoy it all.

The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
I recently watched the ADM fan fedit of EP3...good stuff. I really enjoyed seeing the added scenes and the changes to the battle droids' voices. I wasn't too keen on the Liam Neeson additions though. It was just too confusing I thought. I'd love to have had the R2 slamming back, as well as the cheesy "yes", Anakin and Padme's scene and Palpatine's too weak to fight. All the other stuff...very nice. I just can't see why they had to make the battle droids so cheesy.

One thing I dont think I've heard anyone mention is how cheesy the line is when Obi-Wan says.."we're smarter than this"...I mean come on..He's a Jedi for crying out loud. With the force he should have know better. To me there he's just acting like a complete moron. I'd cut that out in a heartbeat.
