Should Stanley Tookie Williams have been executed?
Time
1. In regards to the 4 specific murders, he described to others the gurgling sound his victims' bodies made after he shot them. The shotgun shells were shown to be fired from a shotgun he had purchased. 2 deaths were robberies. 2 deaths were him getting rid of witnesses.

2. As a co-founder of the crips, he could be considered responsible for the thousands of deaths in crip-related violence over the years.

No one in this world seems to want to take responsibility for what they do.

That guilt will stay with him.
Interesting, they said on the news today that he showed no remorse.

I have the feeling I'm going to hear from all of you for this:

I am for the death penalty. In fact, I'm for making executions public (don't know exactly how...pay-per-view could help repay the state for the cost of incarceration) and for speeding the processing of death row inmates.

The death penalty should be a deterrant. By putting it behind closed doors and prolonging it by 20-30 years, the public feels detached from the crimes and the person that committed them. I think a lot of people simply don't understand the consequences because they don't see what things are like. Scared Straight had affects on a generation.

'Tookie' here was convicted in 1981, when I was 1 year old, the year Empire Strikes Back came out. It took almost 25 years for this to happen. I had never heard of the guy until recently when they started talking about this execution. Does his death mean anything to me? No, not really.

I would just like to take this moment to briefly praise the display of intelligence on the part of Mike Sherman when he argued that Samkon Gado was out of the pocket when he was wrongly charged with intentional grounding. Saved the Packers from a safety and the loss. Kept the game tied so that we could win the game in the overtime.

I'd also like to thank Sean Rogers, DT of the Detroit Lions. If he hadn't thrown Gado to the ground when they were both already out of bounds, we wouldn't have gotten that extra 15 yards and first down in the overtime.

I suppose I'm willing to give this a try.

Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.
I walk about 0.3 miles to work every day, so its really hard for me to see homeless people there. At work, oh, I'm sure that some of the people that walk into the library are homeless, but I don't ask. I can only think of one person that looked homeless in the library.

However, if I have to drive into downtown Cleveland, I see a fair number of homeless. I'd have to say they are mostly 30+ years old. I don't recall ever seeing kids.

Let me know what you think...

PALPATINE: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life ... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.

ANAKIN: He could actually save people from death?

PALPATINE: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

ANAKIN: What happened to him?

PALPATINE: He became so powerful . . . the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. (smiles) Plagueis never saw it coming. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.

ANAKIN: Is it possible to learn this power?

PALPATINE: Not from a Jedi. Now, from A New Hope:
VADER: He is here...

TARKIN: Obi-Wan Kenobi! What makes you think so?

VADER: A tremor in the Force. The last time I felt it was in the presence of my old master.

TARKIN: Surely he must be dead by now.

VADER: Don't underestimate the power of the Force.
Now, maybe its just me, but does that sound like Vader is implying Obi-Wan Kenobi could extend his life by using the Force? But we just read the extending one's life with the Force is a Dark Side thing??

I'm proud knowing Chicago is responsible for two of those.

And I would just like to say "Eat me" to Brett Favre and the Packers for not beating the ViQueens last night. WHY DIDN'T YOU BLOCK EDINGER!?!?!?!?! THE BEARS WOULD'VE HAD A THREE GAME LEAD IN THE NORTH!!!!
You cannot assign credit to Chicago. You can only assign credit to Michael Jordan.

There is another item of the curse, but it doesn't have a specific name.
1997 World Series: Jose Mesa blew the save, allowing game 7 to be tied in the 9th. In the 11th, a single by...Edgar Rentaria, drove home the winning run for the Marlins.
The engraver in the back already had the name 'Chad Ogea' on a plate for the World Series MVP award.

Welcome to the club.

The Cleveland curse is referred to the Curse of Rocky Colavito, named for a very popular baseball player that was traded from the Indians to the Detroit Tigers in 1960. Originally it is ONLY applied to the Indians, but is has slowly grown to encompass all sports. You can read about the curse in Wikipedia.

Also, it is really weird because not once in my life before this have I seen a non-white stormtrooper......i'd like to see other soloors...maybe photoshopped. (on second thought...those black ones and gray ones in Battlefront and ESB)
Well, technically the ones in ESB are not actually Stormtroopers, those are the specially trained AT-AT Drivers. The helmets are very similar to stormtrooper ones.

I've seen a jet-black stormtrooper in a TV show (i.e. it was fan armor).

By leaving ta blooper reel off this disk, Lucas has something to entice us with later.

I don't see any way possible for Reid to be able to fix this. I can't believe it. This was supposed to be the year the Eagles finaly won a Superbowl, and this s*** happens. How could they have fallen apart this fast?

Episode 1.21, Detained, character was named Colonel Grat

Um, FYI, he doesn't appear to be dead. I'm sure he's been late for many things in his life, but I don't think he's 'late' in that respect.

Half nude you say...I think I must have missed that episode, damn! I really liked Scott Bakula as Captain Archer, but maybe that's just a throwback to my Quantum Leap days.
That was one of the first episodes of the show. T'Pol and Trip get exposed on a planet, and they don't know what kind of alien bacteria might have come up with them, so they have to straight into decon, where they slather themselves (and each other if I recall) with this anti-bacterial paste.

In terms of character, I may have to agree.
However there was a...different hype surrounding the addition of Jeri Ryan, and I don't think anyone would dispute that she DID stand up to that hype just fine.
