NJVC Custom Blu-ray Set of Harmy’s Despecialized Editions now available on Mega
Time

Yeah, everything everyone is saying makes sense, plus the fact that the stand alone film is available officially From Harmy in DVD5 format.

I guess I just wish that there had been OOT DVD’s besides GOUT.

Way back in the 90’s, pre-special edition, the “Face” VHS copies were pretty good quality for their time. Now, thanks to Harmy & NJVC, the movies can be well represented on blu-ray as well.

But DVDs never really got their fair shake at having a fully feature loaded release of the OOT. And that makes me kinda sad. Perhaps it’s just the nostalgia in me.

This may sound like heresy to some, but I’d be interested in seeing if there could be a DVD-DL version of the NJVC sets. I have the blu-rays (obviously) but I think some people might be surprised just how many individuals don’t own blu-ray players and have no interest in buying them.

NJVC and Harmy may feel that this would compromise the quality of the sets too much. There would certainly be quality loss, so perhaps its not the best idea.

But on the other hand, I see no harm in a member trying their hand at tinkering. If the end product doesn’t turn out well, nobody has to download it.

Reported. That was contemptuous.

Guys, I wasn’t kidding.

Thank you Handman. I agree he didn’t deserve all that.

But also to be clear, whether it is a large community or not is irrelevant. There are any number of reasons why people enjoy things. It’s not up to us to judge people’s tastes.

Now, since I was one of the few to come chyron8472’s defence, I realize there may be questions (voiced or not) about my tastes in cartoons. Those questions are equally irrelevant. I can’t stand seeing people get picked on. Period.

Any further discussion of this other than “I’m sorrys” only furthers the vitriol.

I just stumbled onto this thread.

And … wow. Guys, I’m really upset.

Stop. Lay off all ready.

This is bullying behavior. I work in schools, I should know. The mocking of chyron8472 & MLP goes back pages. I read all the way back to the post that started it. Completely uncalled for.

Also the denigrating references to effeminate men. Equally out of line.

I agree that the kid in the picture was a really bad idea. But beyond that, the judgmental comments have been hurtful and nasty.

JUST STOP. CHANGE THE TOPIC.

I will ignore or report anymore comments on this topic that are less than kind, and would encourage anyone else to do the same.

Oh sorry HerekittykittyX. TV’s Frink addressed the part of your question that I did not. He was indirectly my source of the files, so the only versions I have are the versions he had which are listed in step 10 of the first post of this thread.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that the 25 gb version would work and the 50 gb would freeze?

If you are talking about playing the blu-rays on Xbox one, you can’t. According to towne32 X-box Ones are specifically designed to not be able to play burrned media.

I have no idea what their capability for playing ISO files is. Perhaps Towne32 or another member does?

Question. I’ve downloaded SW BD50 & BD25 documentaries with no problems. Same with Empire BD50, but the extras on the BD25 are taking about 11-12 HOURS each part. Is this normal? I’ve tried restarting, using different wifi networks, ethernet. Seems odd to me that the docs would take longer than the films.

Mega is finicky in my experience. Even before I granted public access, certain rars or file groups would be about 4-6 times slower for no reason I was able to discern. And of course, now, there is the issue of bandwidth, because there’s no way to know how many people are trying to access the file at any given moment.

But that said, the kind of slow down you’re describing sounds like the throttling effect that happens when you have downloaded a large amount of data.

Maybe try waiting a day or two to give your isp quota a chance to recharge?

And are you waiting about 6-8 hours between sets of ten files to prevent such throttling in the first place?

That’s odd. Maybe a pdf copy of that website will help.

I’ll post a link for you with “WeTransfer”. The link will only be good for 7 days, but that way I don’t need to worry about maintaining it.

That’s about the right size, but the official AVCHD release from Harmy is divided up into 17 rars, each being about 500 mb except for the last one.

The fact that your copy came from one big rar means someone extracted and re-archived it, perhaps unintentionally introducing some glitches along the way.

I hate to say that you should start over, but if you can’t get what you have to work, I would highly recommend that you try using the official multi-rar links found in this guide:

https://goo.gl/5Sif60

Added bonus- since they are in smaller pieces, you don’t have to download them all at once.

Edit: You beat me to it!

Looking for a 2008 "Dark Knight" movie ticket

So you collect movie tickets for movies you’ve seen, but you don’t care if its actually for the date, time, or country you were in at the time? Very interesting.

I don’t collect movie tickets per se, but TDK Trilogy holds a special place for me. I have tickets from the other two films, as I saw them in standard theaters, as keep sakes. Even if the one I actually used in 2008 is gone, I’d like one that represents the same type of showing, hence the “preferably non-IMAX” bit.

To NeverarGreat, yeah I understand completely. Thanks for chiming in all the same!

Looking for a 2008 "Dark Knight" movie ticket
Time

A few years back, I lost a movie ticket stub I had saved from when I went to see “The Dark Knight” in theaters. I’d like to replace it. However, that has proved a difficult task, since people who hang on to movie tickets don’t want to part with them, and everyone else just pitches them.

But I’m gonna try an appeal to the OT community. If anyone here has a movie ticket stub from a 2008 showing of “The Dark Knight”, preferably non-IMAX, I’d be interested in purchasing it via PayPal. You can PM me and we can work out the details.

Or, if you have a good idea of somewhere else to look (besides www.nolanfans.com, as I haven’t had any luck there) let me know.

Thanks!

I have a quick question why don’t you use a google drive wouldn’t it be so much easier and you can set to only can view it through links why use this insane process of getting jdownloader or torrenting it

First & foremost is that we need to not make it TOO easy to get these. The copyright holders would be more than capable of shutting all this down permanently if they decided too.

As for google drive, there is nowhere near the space needed. It would take dozens of accounts to hold all the rar files. Size is the same reason many like to use torrents (though I myself do not).

As for as using Jdownloader or FreeRapid Downloader, they are just ways of downloading files concurrently, so as not to takes anymore time than they must. But even then it will take a very long time. You can download all the links one by one with out them, but that would likely take weeks.

There is probably a way to do that, but I doubt it would be simple. I had asked something similar about swapping out 2.7 for 2.5, only because of a few color preferences on my part. I never actually got an answer, but I can show you that it isn’t as easy as taking one file out and inserting another. Take a look at the file structure of one of the ISOs that you’d want to adjust.

Hello all. I’m checking in on this thread to make sure everything is going smoothly. I’ve had at least 60 people access my post on pro-boards, so everything looks like it’s going slowly, but smoothly.

Just to let everyone know, I have an hefty work & school load coming up over the next eight weeks, so posting from me might be sparse.

But I’ll check in when I can. Keep posting here if anyone runs into any issues with the links.

You’re welcome!

As far as those fan edits go, you’ll probably have better luck looking around in a few different spots on this site. I set this thread up to help with the NJVC sets, but there are other discussions devoted to Star Wars Revisited, Pulp Empire and War Of The Stars. You can use use a custom google search of this site. Enter your search as shown below and that should help to get you pointed in the right direction:

I actually have this issue too. I also figured it had something to do with Leawo. My hunch is it has something to do with differences between burned media and commercial discs. That opinion, however, isn’t based on much actual knowledge or evidence.

For me, though, I’m calling it good. The discs seem to work fine in blu-ray players, and the mounted ISO works fine on computers.

But if anyone has any ideas on what might be causing the ability to play the discs but not navigate around in them on computers.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

To ChainsawAsh: To be fair, that is that user’s very first post. They might not quite understand what all the version numbers mean yet, and may have meant to ask what you thought they were asking. Hopefully the info we posted helped.

To Scdad: if you need any clarification on what those numbers mean, let us know.

To yoda-sama: Ha ha, yeah irony indeed! I do think, however there is a big difference between polishing and tinkering or changing. Polishing a classic car with an original paint job seems to me akin to what Harmy is doing. What George Lucas has done would be more akin stripping parts of the original paint to add new designs, destroying the original in the process. But the contradiction is striking, isn’t it?

This time I must disagree with ChainsawAsh.

He is correct if you are looking for SW 2.5 or 2.7, ESB 2.0, or ROTJ 2.5.

But anything earlier than that probably won’t be very easy to find. I wouldn’t worry about it though.

About the only reason you’d want to find earlier versions is for comparison purposes. Each subsequent release is just a more highly polished edition of the films.
