Drive (2011)
This is my favorite movie of all time. Before I first saw it I thought that nothing could trump Empire. I was wrong. 10/10
The Place Beyond the Pines (2012)
Can’t go wrong with a Ryan Gosling crime movie. The first bit was completely great but the quality slowly declined in the latter half. Overall 7.5/10.

Trust me, having her speak only offscreen is not a good idea. It just comes off as really awkward.
It’ll only be one or two lines. Most of her lines will be onscreen (most of her dialogue from the episode II scene won’t be used anyways)
Don’t worry, this is probably the only shot with CG-Dooku.
The queens head from the original Nemoidian conversation will be plastered on a production image of the specific black dress she wears in this scene.
I’m solving the whole queens head thing by having most of this conversation take place in Dookus ship, therefore I can just have her audio come in from offscreen and show Dooku’s reaction.

The crawl looks a little off, maybe the font is too small?
The elevator exchange feels better, but I feel like there’s some overlapping music.
I like some of the color correction, but a lot of it completely removes the color black from the frame, making the darkest color a gray. I personally would prefer that the darks be black rather than gray but it isn’t a deal-breaker. Certainly an improvement over the original.
I like Anakin’s “So have you.” It works 10x better than the original, but the laughing sticks out a little. Maybe pitch it down a little.
I like the dreams conversation a lot.
I would cut the Padme packing her bags scene when Anakin sits down and says “I know”. I do really like the way you’ve edited the scene though.
I would cut the librarian asking “are you having a problem Master Kenobi” immediately after asking if he needed assistance.
I would cut the whole Yoda younglings scene, however you’ve made it less unbearable.
I don’t like the landing on Naboo conversation. I never have. I also never liked the Padme’s home deleted scenes.
Padme’s field talk works now. It isn’t completely boring.
The day to night on the nighttime kiss doesn’t work, but it didn’t work in Octorox’s either.
I forget where I first saw it but I loved the little Anakin tusken dream part and him waking up next to Padme.
I don’t like the droid saying “Okie-dokie”
So Owen is straight up Anakin’s brother? That’s interesting. I like the use of Anakin’s theme.
“A thousand more systems” rather than 10 thousand? I guess it’s more realistic.
I liked the cuts to the dinner conversation.
I like the cut to black during the sandpeople slaughter.
What is that shouting when Anakin’s arriving at the homestead?
I like Owen saying “Brother” but I feel like it could be louder.
I really like Padme cutting Anakin off while he’s saying “Strict orders”. That’s genius!
I don’t know why you have Anakin saying see you soon while the ship is flying off, but in any case it is far too quiet to hear.
“Alright let’s do it” sounds nothing like Anakin.
I really don’t like the droid factory sequence but you’ve made it… bearable?
The love pledge is better now.
Obi Wan’s “That was good” should be moved somewhere else.
I really don’t like the 3PO battle droid bits.
I like Obi Wan talking about Anakin at the end. I’m not 100% sure it blends in though.
The movie is good. My only issue is the Opera lady. That is literally the only thing that I would edit. Maybe the “saving what we love” quote. Maybe.

Anakin turning for love is probably the most possibly compelling, but the execution in the film is awful. As soon as Palps is like “Oh yeah by the way I can’t save your wife, the one reason why you just joined me” Anakin would have pulled his saber out and killed the guy. I feel like if Anakin is slowly corrupted by Palpatine, being told that the Council are untrustworthy and whatnot, overtime his takeover won’t be for love of his wife but for his love of the Government. This is more in line with the Vader we see in the OT, calm and collected while enforcing the will of the Empire.
But my Sith edit is years away, let’s not get too carried away with specifics this early on 😛
EDIT: Also P.S. my Clones edit will be completely different from how I initially spoke of it. Just wait and see 😉

I’m not entirely sure. Obviously Force Awakens looks better but Phantom Menace used a lot of miniatures.
Did Force Awakens use any miniatures? Miniatures in a day of photo-realistic CG is kind of a waste, really.
When they infiltrate Snoke’s command ship and DJ does his hacking, add in the jam gag from Spaceballs.
If you keep your expectations low you’ll never be disappointed.
Also, please don’t compare me to Adywan. What he does I could never compare to in a million years.
EDIT:
The droid image is from a test thing I did a while back. During the invasion sequence there will be shots of Naboo civilians being massacred by the battle droids. This both strengthens the droids as a serious threat as well as makes the Separatists a group to be feared.
Still no ETA on the update. Sadly can’t devote much time to the project right now.

I think that was George’s original idea according to an article I read somewhere. Not sure about the novel, haven’t read it.
Especially the Rogue One stuff. The movie was alright (in my opinion) but recently everyone has been saying stuff like “Rogue One is the best shot-- best looking movie in the Star Wars saga” and then they post the same 2 or 3 shots. I’m not saying the movie isn’t well shot but jeez one thread per year is enough.
Twilight of the Republic may end up being the title of EP3, because it would be more immediate, however a spoiler in the title is sort of dumb. I don’t know.
As for the new thread, the next update will be a complete restart in all but title. Many of my initial promises are completely different now. It will also be a symbolic change, in my personal confidence. The new thread will hopefully have no empty promises.
The next thread will include:
-The first 10 or so minutes of the film.
-Various other clips.
-A new trailer detailing many, many visual changes.
I have no idea when this update will be.
