The only OT film that breaks the CAPITAL EMPHASIS rule is Empire. Jedi has “the GALACTIC EMPIRE.”

Also, on that Obi-Wan thing, I wish that that would be possible. With the footage there is no way to make that work.

Bloodstripes are the red lines on Han’s pants. In classic Legends style those were given a backstory and apparently people think that Han Solo’s pants are going to be addressed in the movie.

On a side note: it’s a shame that Gary Kurtz got kicked out… could have made Return of the Jedi a 9 out of 10 rather than a strong 7.

The thing is that when we see the Empire’s tech in the OT it is significantly worse than it is in the PT. The Empire has like 3 colors max on their computers, most of them being monochromatic. The PT tech is going to be just as good as the rebels have in the OT, implying that they salvaged it from ye olden days.

As for Maul’s saber, I’m leaning on white or orange. Definitely not blue or red.

I sort of like the idea that red isn’t just the bad guy color. It makes Vader a little more special and in turn makes Kylo an even bigger fanboy.

Well, in that case it makes sense because the Empire was supposed to be evocative of the Nazis. Seeing black ladies as imperial officers wouldn’t work if you’re trying to make the bad guys Nazis.

Seeing an Asian lady as a mechanic doesn’t mess with my internal logic.

They didn’t hire Kelly Marie Tran just because she was Asian. It was because she fit the part that Rian had written.

“Holy shit Empire sucks! It was trying to be too PC with a black character after the first one had only whites! What is this PC bullshit!”

“They only hired Caroline Blakiston to play Mon Mothma because she was a woman! Why do they keep hiring these women when there are plenty of men that could have done a better job?”

Just because someone in a movie isn’t white doesn’t mean that they were hired specifically because they weren’t white! Just because someone is a woman doesn’t mean that they were hired because they’re a woman!

Has anybody mentioned removing the opera singer? Because that’s seriously my only issue with the movie.
