Wal-Mart gets Star Wars bonus disc for ROTS
Time
this is the same story of star wars as the videonow disc you can find on ebay for some kind of system called pvd.
These are the feauturettes fox television showed the anakin one with the premiere of clones on fox 25, and the luke one on a reshowing of star wars special edition, and empire strikes back special edition not the 2004.

not on this bonus dvd, which is on the videonow disc is behind the scenes making of star wars footage, which I imagine is the making of star wars with C3PO and artoo detoo.

i wish it would'nt happen because they will just ruin the boba fett story furhter than the prequels if that would be possible. If it was pre- prequels butchering stories of boba fett i might think differently, besides the fact that the only part that made his character interesting was that he was shrouded in mystery sortive like the man with no name by clint eastwood. Now the only people doing science fiction right are the guys over at sci fi network, only olace free of reality t.v. crap watch stargate sg-1 or the new galatica, or strargate atlantis. Paramount cancelled a promising series like enterprise and now lucas has ruined star wars for all time with the lackluster prequels, they are just about reponsible for ruining sci-fi television/ cinema for good. Will have to go to books or comics for good sci fi. They always cancel good sci fi shows like space above and beyond, nowhere man, seven days before it became pathetic, sliders, earth 2 and others. Fox killed space above and beyond regardless of it stellar ratings and core fanbase, so they could have like 9 seasons of x-files which may be a good show, but if i could've picked which show to cancel if one had to go if would've been x-files, space was a better show by far. Plus seaquest was a good show in it's first season they became trite action series and lost it's core fanbase and was cancelled mercifully.

fisher script doctored phantom menace, it was hales that did clones, and lucas wrote revenge by himself and look at the horrible results i've seen grade school kids who can write better. and kasden was one of the best screenwriters in the history of hollywood. not his fault he tried to work on a project where he had no input, a cheapy horror movie based on steven king, ugh! by the way some of the young indy episodes were nominated for emmys, how is that horrid writing. I want yound indy on dvd. agreed most of the work by hales is tird worthy, and they did'nt even bother to use john williams on the series but joel mcneely. False advertising on lucasfilms part for using clips from the indy films and the williams music to advertise the series, the networks thought they were getting indiana jones for t.v. . What they got was an odd paring of historical stuff and educational, with indiana jones on it. Lucas ideas stemmed from his lucas learning cd rom projects, in fact yound indy will probablbly be on blue ray as an educational series for schools, lucas said they were filming a hundred historical documentries to be included. Young indy certainly was not a rip roaring series of action adventure movies, it is a mixed bag just like the prequels but better than the prequels. Can't believe he did'nt just do indy 4 and star wars episodes 7-9 much more intersting stories, but the george lucas of today is not the same man from before he divorced marcia lucas. and most people are glad he did not do these movies because they wuld be a tirdfest just like the prequels, most of return of the jedi and the special editions. Look at the first indy movie and star wars and empire strikes back and imagine what would've been if he did'nt change creatively and kept kurtz as a producer. And actually cared about the saga and not used it just to make money, milking this cash cow dry loking like an moron who got extremely lucky once or twice who is technically brilliant but lacks soul and creativity. He himself has actually ackkowkedged that he is more of a documentary cinema verite guy than storyteller. And after the fact you have to admit that the reviewers of thx were right he's just a techobrat, like coppola said he was.

Final Fantasy 7: AC
Time
yeah but you have to give the game mad props for creating the playstation movie game, and the console movue game in general. Plus it was the first game made for millions of dollars and was a huge risk and undertaking and took more than three years to make, plus it put the sales of sony playstation in the u.s. through the roof people who had followed nintendo for years left them because square went to playstation and i was one of them. It made sony a sucess story and costs nintendo millions of dollars in revenue. They were not able to draw the fans back until the release of zelda 64, and the sucess of the gamecube. Besides at the time nintendo had the kiddie status and did'nt release mature games. as good as their games are i've moved on to playstation, playstation 2 and xbox. I can only take so much of the kiddie games constantly being rehashed, how many times can they reuse the same games and just retool the gameplay. Like a million zelda, mario, metroid games with the same story, zero continuity. And they were dumb enough to sell rareware to microsoft which also got perfect dark in the deal for the xbox. You know the software developer behind goldeneye 64 and donkey kong country for the snes. Sure i like zelda ocarina of time, and wind waker, and probalbly will like twilight princess and the new mario coming out for nintendo revelolution. But where was the promised Metroid 64 or mario 64 2 ?, or the cancelled starfox which was first for the snes. The new metroid games for the cube are cool but i still think super metroid for the snes if better. Next to the first playstation, the only other older system i still play games on is the snes. Zelda a link to the past, super metroid, super mario world, and final fantasy III, chrono trigger and the super star wars game trilogy. Although the nintendo 64 is still o.k. for mario 64, ocarina of time, shadows of the empire, rogue squadron and goldeneye, and starfox 64. Oh yeah and the only movie like games before final fantasy VII were flashback and out of this world, both for the computer and snes. The only thing i wish they would do with the final fantasy games is have multiple endings based on the choices you make in the game, similar to kotor, fable or wing commander III and IV. this concept evolved out of the choose your own universe books, they were going to do it with movies to involve the viewer but it never caught on. I peronally always thought it would be cool to have a game where in empire strikes back you can choose to join vader and overthrow the emperor, or in return of the jedi kill both vader and the emperor and rule the galaxy.

Final Fantasy 7: AC
Time
by the way spirits within is a way underated movie and it fits the ff universe nicely. The same people did a short for the animatrix and of course advent children. THose who have'nt seen animatrix should it is one hell of a great anime vignette series, i actually like it better than the movies. and for accuracy sake playstation originally evolved out of the canceled cd add on for the snes, and that not being released was why square left nintendo to do final fantasy 7. the original game engine used on the unreleased demo sequel to the u.s. final fantasy III which was to be for the nintendo 64 was reused for quest 64 one of the worst games ever. They retooled the game engine for final fantasy 7. The unreleased game demo for the cancelled u.s. final fantasy III part 2 or for the japanese final fantasy VI-2 is hard to find now. It used to be available for download on the net as a game for emulation, i've even seen cartridge's of it go for huge amounts on ebay. This was actually the first sequel ever to a final fantasy game, though never fully realized i've even seen screenshots of the chraracter locke and the esper girl.

Final Fantasy 7: AC
Time
from the preview screens on the PS3 for ff7 i hope the do the remake. Final Fantasy 7 had the best story of all the games, and is my second favorite to snes final fantasy III (VI in japan). I like FInal Fantasy VIII third, final fantasy IX fourth, and final fantasy X fifth, final fantasy 2 snes (IV in japan) sixth, and final fantasy 1 seventh. I've seen the trailer for the movie and just wish it was an interactive game. Theres other final fantasies that deserve sequels, and i don't mean like X-2 which was girly j-pop crap and the u.s. did'nt get the updated version where you could actually play as the male chracters. Out of all the final fantasy games VI and VII deserve a story continuation, but final fantasy VIII and IX would be great too. VI-X are the best games in the series, and VII was when it bacame an interactive game/ movie. Can't wait for XII since it should really be called final fantasy tactics III. The games have great chracterization and i've always wished their was a series of novels, as a lot of these games sit comfortably in the same universe as tolkien's lord of the rings. In fact role playing games could be considered to be a by product of the tolkien phenomenon, since according to tom shippey he was single handedly responsible for crating the fantasy genre and the roleplaying was a byproduct or a dual birth. Some of squaresoft/square-enix games fit nicely into the science fiction catagory. Final fantasy 7 is set in a dystopian apocalyptic future where the earth itself cries out over shinraa corporation's destruction of the planet. Final Fantasy seven is the one game in the series with an overt message, we are destroying are planet with pollution and playing god by playing around with nuclear weapons and the human genome. Then there is Secret of Mana another favorite fantasy game of mine, chrono trigger the time travel sci fi/ fantasy crossover, chrono cross. Theres just too many too list. they are they best cgi studio out there next to lucasarts/lucasfilms , and the popularity of final fantasy in japan could be compared to that of star wars in the u.s. . Of course they are the top rpg game company, but there are others. There's gamearts who created the LUNAR SILVER STAR STORY AND ETERNAL BLUE, which I happen to own the translations by working designs co. Have not seen the movie but are the bad guys clones of sephiroth, like brothers or sons or something. or are they taken from jenova like sephiroth was. They have to make a chrono trigger 3.

I think we REALLY dodge a bullet with Episode III. (read inside..)
Time
han was raised by a female wookie, which is an idea lucas ripped off from tarzan, and burroughs got the idea from the roman myth of romulas and remus being raised by a wolf. It ended up in the ann crispin trilogy, and the guy han modeled himself on eventually became garm bel iblis. and han's first meeting with chewie was when he was an imperial liutenant who was drummed out of the service for saving a wookie slave, who actually happened to be chewbacca. Which is in both The ann crispin han solo trilogy, and brian daley's.

Books you would like to make into movies.
Time
speaking of anime the movie i really wanted to see but never will was the space battleship yamato rebirth film set after final yamato. Nishizaki and Matsumoto will probalbly never work together again. They both have their own space battleship yamato (starblazers series) on the boards. I am totally glad that the disney ruination never happened with ben affleck and the u.s.s. arizona being dug up and rechristened argo, i mean they totally ruined tarzan. Can't stand disney films, they ripped off kimba the white lion for the lion king. the only money they are really making is from destributed films of other people. Like studio ghibli and miyazki films, and pixar films. Hayao Miyazaki films are way better than almost 100% of the american films out there, and japan directors can't touch him.

speaking of fahrenheit 451 by bradbury, i believe that fahrenheit 911 by michael moore was a riff on that title.

Robert Wise R.I.P.
Time
a have the robert wise director's cut of star trek 1 on dvd, and it is better than the original film. one of my favorite dvd's, oh yeah and the soundtrack is awesome, my second favorite of all time next to john williams a new hope soundtrack or just "star wars". Plus his movie the day the earth stood still is a classic, Klaatu, Barada, Nikto in star wars came form this film, and of course the line in sam raimi's army of darkness.

Yeah, i know he did other movies, but his science fiction films are my favorite. Star trek:TMP, the andromeda strain, and the day the earth stood still. Of course there's west side story, which was brilliant in it's own way is you like stage plays or musicals.

Has anyone been following the whole luke on Jabiim Story Arc in the comics, are they any good? You know the comics that link empire and republic together, the luke vader/ anakin story arc?

as horrible as this sounds he'd probalbly have ben affleck or pierce brosnan as han solo and matt damon as luke skywalker. He might even use nathan hamill to play luke. Leia would be played by charlize theron, natalie portman, or Kyiera neightly. Lando played by sam jackson. Obi wan ian mckellan, ian holm, derek jacobi, or patrick stewart. Vader would still be james earl jones, to me the only other choices would be orson welles, or brock peters who are both dead. Dave prowse in the suit not christenson. don't know of any actor who could be tarken, would have to be a really creepy hatchet faced guy. That girl from cheers could be jabba. Boba Fett would have to be played by some badass actor, don't know who.

Jar Jar is dead canonically!
Time
most of these are the rumored changes as well as the other rumored changes which also proved to be true. Originally Jar Jar was supposed to get the axe in revenge of the sith, and the gungans were supposed to be exterminated according to palpatines anti alien policy. even according to unsubtantiated sources naboo was supposed to be blown up by the prototype death star. Padme was supposed to be in the ghost scenes and quigon jinn. Imperial march was to be added to a new hope (not true) death star destroys alderaan and jimmy smitts bail organa chracter is in his senate chambers when he and the entire planet is atomized (untrue). And until lucasfilm says otherwise it is jar jar who says "wesa free" because none of the other gungans sounded like him. Also how could jar jar be on alderaan when he so stupid he give the secret away that vader is leia's father and padme her real mother. would lucas have such bad taste as to have jar jar on alderaan as leia's nannie or babysitter?

From Jedi To Jesus

I am a christian and a star wars fan and have no problem being either one, and at the same time. Your not going to go to hell for liking and watching star wars. No one is actually crazy enough to pray to the force and obi wan to save their soul. Star wars is not a religion, it's science fiction/fantasy/mythology rolled into one. Eastern myticism can be fairly interesting as long as it's taken with a grain of salt like kershner said in the interest of mythology and fantasy. there is nothing wrong with star wars message to renounce evil, in fact their are themes from christian religion lucas used in star wars, he just mixed them with all sorts of other world views, mythologies and religions.

It is very sad news that robert wise, director of the andromeda strain, the day the earth stood still and star trek the motion picture has died. another trek related death so close to james doohan's and brock peters. And i'm still reeling from the fact the i know it's old news, that Jerry Goldsmith died. Years ago the doctor from the old star trek died, what's next kirk or spock?

Books you would like to make into movies.
Time
I don't know about films i'd personally make, but i have a list of tons i'd love to see.

Remaking all of Ian Flemings bond novels so they more closely represent the books, than the films.

Star wars episodes 7-9 ( i know no such books exist, but the treatments are in a lucasfilm vault no mater what lucas may say to the contrary)

The Hobbit and the silmarillion by j.r.r. tolkien.

Probalbly won't be done anytime soon, but i'd like a lord of the rings more true to the books.

The wheel of time series and sword of truth series, the landover series and shannara series. Word and void series. all of the narnia books, and frank baum oz books. The martian chronicles by edgar rice burroughs of John carter of mars. A true to the novel tarzan film. Beowulf based on tolkien's translations. Good film versions of the iliad and the odyssey, and the epic of gilgamesh. A film faithfull flash gordon to the original strip by alexander raymond. The new gods by jack kirby. Willow chronicles of the shadow war trilogy. Lucasfilm's alien chronicles. Tim zahn's star wars novels. Jedi academy trilogy and dark empire and new jedi order. George r.r. martins a song of fire and ice series. Isaac asimovs foundation trilogy, empire trilogy and I, robot based on the book(not that crapfest action film with will smith) THe entire dune series, kevin anderson's chronicles of seven stars saga, The entire lensman and skylark series by e.e. doc smith. Michael Moorcock's mutiverse of the eternal champion, fafryd and the grey mouser saga. The Ulic Qel Droma saga from tales of the jedi series. Al williamson's rendition of star wars. I even would'nt mind seeing live action versions of metal gear, final fantasy, and zelda game franchises. Could you imagine a final fantasy VI movie or final fantasy VII live action. And and Neon Genesis Evangelion, and ghost in the shell. Akira would make an awesome live action movie.
