there is extra footage in one version of prophecy but i don't know which one, there are two versions of the game. Are there any aternate endings? the only one i've seen is the supposed death of commodore christopher blair but was pretty open ended. too bad no sequel to show what happened. the creator of the game was inspired by both star wars and star trek. The killrathi are like a hybrid of wookiee's and klingons although they are tigerlike. Of course blair "hamill" bombing and destruction of killrath homeword by hitting it's weak point at the planets core casing a chain reaction both had echos of the bombing of japan world war II and luke's destruction of the death star in star wars.

the superman stuff is awesome. there have been rumors that warner bros is doing a donner recut of superman II and that they will have extended versions of all four films. his recut of the first superman currently on dvd is like a supercut of the theatrical version of the film. unfortunately it is missing tons of footage which were in the salkind international television cut, which donner wanted his name removed from but the dga would'nt allow it. I think he wanted the alan smithee on it.

is the willow art going to be on a fan preservation of the theatrical version of willow?

if so then the soundtrack should be on the dvd as an isolated track since it is impossible to find and out of print.

as far as i know there were not any changes done to the willow that is now on dvd, except for 5.1 sound and cleaned up image. Unlike the original star wars trilogy, thx 1138, american graffiti etc.

I love the mcquarrie menu's way better than the official lucasfilm moving image menus.

speaking of mcquarrie it's weird no one has made a fan project using his paintings to make movies, since their was a trailer for empire that did. a fan dvdr of his stuff would be cool. other than his star wars stuff, i love his artwork for the asimov series of books.

the star trek dvd box sets also had exclusive best buy cd's, cdroms and dvd's in rather low quantities. If anyone out there can make me copies i'd be gratefull beyond words, especially for the next generation extras.

The indiana jones one was only at my best buy store with the full screen version of the film, none of the widescreen sets i saw had it, of course that does'nt mean their were'nt any they just sold out. best buy also had an exclusive Lara Croft tomb raider II dvd.

before the release of revenge of the sith on both film screen and digital, rick m. said the digital version was going to probalbly be closer to the dvd and have the yoda landing on dagobah scene, a more finished version. of course we know the film/ digital are identical, rick said they "might" Put a longer version out there in digital cinemas. Of course with lucasfilms planning of 3-d versions of all six films the revenge of the sith imax was cancelled early on. They said attack of the clones imax did'nt make enough money to warrant a release of sith in that format. from what i know of the imax most showings were sold out and it made tons of money, so when rick said it did'nt make enough money he was bullshitting us all.

hey coov great cover art where can they be downloaded. I like the circus poster one with the wraparound wood thing in the background really cool for star wars classic edition, and the vader with the red saber is friggin awesome!

hey ocpmovie keep the great projects coming man, thanks this dvd rules! can't wait for classic edition return of the jedi. Any chance on a deleted magic strikes back, or return of deleted magic? and when you do return of the jedi is there any way you can put an alternate title crawl recreation for revenge of the jedi?

also can't wait for moth3r return of the jedi/ or would'nt that be reinventing the wheel since i'm ntsc.

what the best software for the pc to watch both ntsc and pal or reauthor pal in ntsc?

as for televisions and dvd players/ converters for pal any knowledge would be appreciated.

I never beat crystalis. and i'm ashamed to admit it being a huge fan of the final fantasy series, but i never beat final fantasy I for the nes.

yeah, theirs millions of people who would kill for a chance to work in any department on a star wars movie even just as an extra. Being able to work with some of the finest effects creators, editors, and animators in the business or sound creators like wood or burtt would be i think any persons dream. Not everyone can afford to go to college, expecially a predigious and expensive school like usc, i would do just about anything to be able to go there and study film or become a intern at lucasfilm.

he became darth vader before he was in the suit according to the movie. I liked the artist interpretation as on a card in the star wars galaxy series from topps where the emperor puts on vader's helmet as he is kneeling before him like a coronation ceremeony.

by the way palpatine kneeling over the half dead anakin is supposed to be a riff on obi wan kneeling over luke in a new hope.

yes I wish they prequels were done differently, or they had never happened. Recutting the original trilogy constantly to fit the prequels, when the prequels should have fit with the original vision of star wars and remained unrevised. No midichlorians, no padawans just apprentices. The story was about luke not darth vader, now lucas has revised the saga to be about darth vader, he could have shown anakin's story without messing with the overall arc of the saga. Now the continuity of the original movies is crapped all over. Obi wan was supposed to be yoda's apprentice according to the original version of empire strikes back, leia's mother was to die when she was very young staying with her and her adopted family on alderaan. Anakin was supposed to be the best starpilot in the galaxy and a cunning warrior, and owen lars was obi wan's brother.

i'd also like to have all the making of footage, deleted scenes, movie scenes on dvd of wing commander III, IV and prophecy. I've been looking for the soundtracks and screenplays for years also, a huge fan of the wing commander series with mark hamill.

as far as i'm aware the best quality theatrical version of attack of the clones was a an unofficial fan release/ preservation on super vcd on 3 discs and is slightly different than the official dvd release but the quality is sub par.

a fan preservation dvd should be made with all 18 parts of the web documentary since lucasfilm sadly has failed again to give the fans what they want.

Why no manga for attack of the clones or revenge of the sith?

Unless they actually came out in japan and dark horse just decided not to bring them stateside. The other complaint i have is they reprinted it backwards so it could be read left to right, rather than right to left. The same thing was done with miyazaki's manga Nausicaa of the valley of the wind. Thank god the publisher of that book series viz comics actually reprinted it in the traditional japanese format in english after getting many complaints.

The image on each page being flipped or mirrowed, is such an anoyance i've actually considered getting the original trilogy manga from japan from mediaworks even though i can't read japanese, and the cover art is better than the u.s. release, and of course the comic frames match up to the way they are on film rather than reversed.

Sir Sabatian Shaw another great british actor, like sir alec guiness under appreciated for his role in star wars.

Hayden is no way near as good an anakin skywalker as shaw was, similar to the younger generation thinking Ewan McGregor is better than sir alec, utter blaphemy.

beware of the dvd double dip at bestbuy.
They orginally sold the first season as a bestbuy exclusive with the u.k. version, and now they have the u.s. version with the special features and the mini series after i already bought them for the same price of 50.00.

Not only am i out 80 plus dollars but i have to buy the same episodes again if i want the commentary and new features.

For those who have not already both purchased the mini series and season 1 50.oo is a good deal, since they are practically throwing in the mini series for free in the new boxset.

I bought the new boxset for the original t.v. show, the widescreen movie was'nt included and the interview with john dykstra about special effects were not there either. they must've been with the limited release cylon head. and the reported digital remastering is bull, since what i watched was worse than the vhs tapes or what they used to show on the sci fi network, the only thing that looked cleaned up were the visual effects. But the video quality was very poor on the pilot episodes. have not watched the other episodes yet so don't know if the video quality improves. The film scratches on the old televison reels which they used are very evident, why not go back to the original negative and do a digital clean up after washing the original negative. Or they could do a hand frame by frame ycm restoration. the 5.1 sound sounded somwhat good but was very forced in some cases, and sounded kinda fake. not sure if the show was shot in mono sound or stereo, since it was the seventies to early eighties.

hopefully with the sucess of the film and the dvd box set sales they will be smart and revive the t.v. show, which should'nt have been cancelled anyway.
