Help: looking for... 'Star Trek - The Cage' - narrated by Patrick Stewart, & more
Time
I have the dvd It has both versions and was not included in the star trek box sets. The other thing you mentioned is actually the star trek 25th anniversary special which is on vhs and laserdisc.

it was included in the final single dvd release of turnabout intruder on season 3 as bonus materials. The new completely remastered "lost Color pilot" in color and in 5.1 audio. It stars Jeffrey Hunter as captain christopher pike and is quite a lot like the movie forbidden planet.

if lucas had left the ot alone
Time
personally I have no problem with the 1997, and 2004 special editions as long as he releases the oot too. This gives fans a chance and an opportunity to own both. while they are at it they should also release the 1997 special editions on dvd, that would give us a choice of three versions possibly four with the 2007 editions. What about seamless branching the bluray technology/hd dvd would be a must for this. They could even put tons of deleted stuff in from the archives and the screenplays because the new format fits so much more data.

While lucas is at it he should release all the deleted scenes for all six films, especially the original trilogy. The dailies etc. Maybe the lost cut too. And all those classic making of specials in good quality.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
Jambe I have the story of empire rip in mp3, but I live in the united states and have no way of uploading it.

I could rip it to cd and mail it to you but would'nt that take too much time and be costly?

the guy who sold it to me probalbly got it off the torrents newsgroups anyway.

I got the empire read along from 1980 as well.

The quality of all the lp rips online is very low, maybe you should consider doing a fresh rip from the record?

Superman II and Superman III extended (Released)
Time
hey guts theres two superman 16mm prints up for sale on ebay. One is a fullscreen t.v. print of the first superman, and the second is one of the sequels in scope and theatrical.

also for those star wars fans there is an auction with a starting price over 2,000 dollars for all three star wars trilogy films in 16mm sound and color and not the special editions.

If the O-OT ever came out, the future of SW is with the PT fans.
Time
Ilm may be at the top of the industry but they are hardly the only one. Jim cameron's group digital domain and weta are vying for second place. who knows weta digital may just become the king of the mountain. The lord of the rings trilogy for me is the new classic star wars trilogy in quality, not the prequels. the two greatest trilogies ever oot and lotr.

there was also lucasarts but they are now merging with lucasdigital i.e. ilm. Greatest computer cgi house not doing hollywood movies is the final fantasy games team at square-enix.

a lot of games are actually becoming a viable alternative to movies. some even feel like one like hideo kojima solid snake series.

Info: Anyone Have The Fight Club Workprint? Or any workprints for that matter?
Time
Who has a copy of an evening with kevin smith on dvd?

P.m. me please.

also anyone have the workprint of jay and silent bob strikes back with the deleted scenes encorporated?

or any other kevin smith rough cuts or work prints.

Anybody have the episode of sci fi channel's exposure which he hosted, which had the world premiere of george lucas student film freiheit? How about the fan film awards? oh and does anybody have all the behind the scenes stuff on return of pink five from g4?, pink five strikes back etc.

I Hope kevin smith can use some of his clout in the film industry and help mark hamill get the black pearl made as a movie. Comic book the movie was not as good or funny as jay and silent bob, but I still love this cheasy little movie. Can You imagine Mark Hamill getting the o.k. from good old george to film episode 7 as director, one can dream.
