I hate the animation marionette wooden style,  would it have been so bad to just do the same or similar Style as the Genddy Series only with a better budget and render it in 3-D stylized.

Puppets on wires are not hand drawn animation and neither is bogus cgi rendered like a ps2 cut scene.

I have seen fluid animation that is surprisingly lifelike in Final Fantasy the Spirits Withing and Appleseed: Ex Machina, as well as the Incredibles by Pixar none of which is seen here.

Still the cg comes off as lifeless unlike Live Action or Hand drawn traditional animation.

Animation is still not close enough to replicating real human expression and movement, again the closest thing I have ever seen was spirits withing and that is dated now.

Wall-E will most likely win the Academy Award for animation. Eventually the Clone Wars movie will be in a bargain dvd bin for five bucks.

Another film that is a trial run for pushing the state of the art in Lucas computer devision, a film that lacks a good story and i am sure there are grade schoolers who could write a better story than Lucas he is all washed up.

I mean the dude should have remained retired after Return Of the Jedi. AT least then he would not be shitting all over the good movies he made, and forever ruined the saga with the prequels and special editions neither which was needed or wanted . I think i am glad now that he did not do episodes 7-9 because they would have destroyed the original characterizations Of Luke, Han and Leia. The thing with the revenge of the jedi trailer is you could end up with the more generic version, the one i want has that sandstorm clip. It last less than a second but is from a deleted scene. Also Luke's Lightsaber is Blue.

I am also looking for the empire trailer that was not on the 2004 dvd bonus disc. It was released in 35mm flat and scope versions and has Vilvaldis winter from the four seasons as temp track music.

the problem with all the star wars trailers prior to late 1982 is that they are all faded eastman or fuji stock, LPP low fade was released in late 1982 and was used in 1983 onward.

This is why you can get a 1982 re-release trailer of Star wars without fading but the 77 trailer is now faded to pink or even worse i have seen some without the color at all.

See this is even a problem with reels from 1977 star wars and 1980 empire strikes back as they were generally on eastman safety film and all have faded badly, most have vinegar syndrome as well.

But you can find when ever they show up completely unfaded 35mm prints from 1983 or 1985 for return of the jedi as long as they are LPP.

Those film cels from willits designs come from the internegative or interpositive and that was fading to pink.

As for the orchestra i have never heard of the prague national philharmonic, not  exactly John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra.  Who also have been Beaten in Recent years by the London Philharmonic who did the howard shore Lord of the Rings scores.  Gee i wonder who had the better material the epic grand and heroic scores of rings brought back memories of the original star wars trilogy scores while the prequel trilogy was such shit except for maybe 2 or 3 themes.

That is not his movie it is Richard Marquand's, besides the bad ideas in the film like death star II and ewoks anything that was good about the movie was because of Marquand and Lawrence Kasden who actually wrote the movie.

Empire is superior also because it was not written or directed by Lucas.

He had a lot of help on that first movie as well. The best dialogue in the film was Written By Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck.

Also less yes men and a great producer in Gary Kurtz.

I hate the Rick Mcallum Yes men era that began with the Awful radioland murders and flop Young Indiana Jones chronicles.

You could sort of say the yes men began with Howard Kazanjian on Return of The Jedi. Though somehow Raiders turned out great and he produced that.

Though to be fair not everyone Can keep the same level of quality constant. The Huycks may have written 30% of star wars 1977 and American Graffiti, but they also wrote Howard the Duck, Temple of Doom, and Radioland Murders.

Kasden went off and made a Crappy Steven King Movie, and Kershner made Never Say never again.

At least Gary had some creative success with other projects Like Return to OZ and The Dark Crystal. Though financially he was finished, because Lucas cut him off and pretty much made sure he would never work in hollywood again and he never forgave him for empire strikes back going over budget, and Siding with Kersh instead of backing him up.

The power of star wars 77 and Raiders is all there in the editing and the human element infused by Marcia Lucas insistance .

It was never made a secret that Lucas better half was Marcia and without her he was definetely not half as much a filmmaker or human being without her.

Pollock Dale said it best when he remarked her skills as an editor and confidant on his movies smoothed out a lot of the weaker parts.

Lucas was never much for directing people in films, his strengths were mostly visual and technically related, he was not much of a writer or storyteller. Without all the writers and craftsmen whom he takes all the credit for their work his films would all be failures.

If you add up all the shit films and flops Between Lucas and Spielberg i wonder who has more, this would include as creative consultants or producers. Then you can add on the moneymakers that were crap even despite not being financial flops.

I hated Legacy of the Force, besides its low points i found the NJO better.  Legacy destroyed the set ups and continuity of that series.

The bug trilogy was simply awful as well.

I have been collecting tenchi laserdiscs lately and i so much love her work.

I wish Tenchi Forever was not the last film.

And it was the high point of Petrea's work so she went out in class and on a high note.
