^ oh, by the way , which one’s Pink ?
^ I like that . One small suggestion…slow down the text at the beginning …it went by too fast for me to read and process it and I had to pause it a couple times . I really like what you did with the film book and look forward to seeing more .
^ there is no dark side of the moon , matter of fact it’s all dark…
I got lost exploring this site for a few hours today…lots of international covers for the classic Marvel series here…the ones from Indonesia and Spain are both cool and batshit crazy ! http://swcomiccollector.blogspot.com/search/label/Retro Foreign?updated-max=2017-03-26T00:18:00-07:00&max-results=20&start=47&by-date=false

I think a truly radical edit would be to combine ideas from both Jodorowsky’s unmade Dune with the David Lynch film …a couple of ideas that I put together a while back…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf9hIx1Maio and also …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lXkjj_6WQg I would definitely use some of the ideas in this thread and combine them with concept art from both projects for my dream edit . I love the Lynch film , but would drastically tone down the over the top villainy of the Baron Harkonen and his nephews , and it always bugged me that Dr. Yeuh’s being revealed as the traitor was telegraphed from a mile away .
sorry wrong thread…deleted post
I pooped today.
^ not sure , but it is messing with my OCD ! lol…been playing around with the image a bit …maybe if they put Luke’s hair going back in the wind over the moon …kind of blending into a semi transparent group of stellar clouds moving over the moon, it would mesh better ,
^ now I see a Spaceball ! Might work better for me if they had made the colors of the moon blend in a bit more with Luke and Kylo .It also seems like Luke is emerging from the bottom of the helmet . Is that Luke’s hair dangling , or Kylo’s ? I am tempted to do a fan edit of this poster now . I really like it but for those elements.
I dunno , something looks off about that poster to me . I like the painterly look and the colors , but Luke has no cranium ! Would have been better to move Kylo’s helmet to the other side and bring more of the red into the blue and blue into the red , like a yin and yang symbolism .Looking at it again , it kind of looks like that is what they were going for but it just looks weird to me.
my Power Of The Force 1997 AT-AT walker . My ex wife won it for me in a bidding war on Ebay for our first wedding anniversary . It was my most wanted toy as a kid …the original Kenner AT-AT that is . I have wanted one since 1980 …this one is close to that with more bells and wistles , but I believe made from the same mold . She got it for 80 bucks in 2004 . Has very sentimental value to me and I will never willingly part with it .
^best 3 films of all time !
in The Empire Strikes Back , as Han is getting ready to go search for Luke , in Echo Base , on the wall of the stables …is that …is that …Taun-taun shit !?
I just watched episode 4 . A few thoughts…the Seven Samurai trope has been used in Star Wars spinoff material a few times , most recently in The Clone Wars animated series . No surprise as Filoni had a hand in that . Also , the very first original Marvel comics tale after the first film was a seven samurai/magnifecent seven homage . I was also very much reminded of the Marauders from battle for Endor at the start of the episode . I enjoyed this episode .
Just go to the Coppa…Coppa Cabana …have a drink and let your troubles fade away 😃
^lol . Greedo Maclunkeyed ,and only Greedo Macklunkeyed, and then Han straight up blasted his ass ! 😃
^ no . He didn’t …you are taking his statements waaay out of context .
yet another example of concept art being used in the series…Admiral Giel’s flagship in issues 60-61 was based on a Joe Johnston sketch for Vader’s Executor…https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Helmsman_(battlecruiser)
^ I saw the Imax AOTC at Navy Pier in Chicago in November of 2002 and loved it . I would also love to see a fan recreation of that cut . Here is a resource that may help editors that wish to attempt it , archived on TFN …
http://www.theforce.net/episode2/story/The_Definitive_IMAX_Cut_Scenes_List_64801.asp this is pretty much what I remember seeing .
^ agreed ,and I chalk it up to life experience and maturity as well .
I would want a Resistance trilogy that is a character study about John Connor. With no time travel elements until the end of the last film that sets up T1&2. The first film would be the fall of civilization and the start of the war. See how John prepared for that and began rallying survivors. The first film would predominately have HKs and endoskeleton terminators. The second film would introduce the infiltration terminators starting with the rubber skinned earliest models. This would be expensive but I think it would be great to have a de-aged Arnold as a member of the Resistance that disappears for a while and returns as a T-800. The last film would be the last great seige of Skynet as John learns they’ve cracked time travel and are preparing to assassinate him in the past.
There’s a lot you can do with the future war setting that they squandered with Salvation.
Great ideas all around. I think a Brad Fiedel-inspired synth score and cold industrial colour grading are also essential. The generic score and warm colours of Salvation certainly did that film no favours.
^ THIS all the way !!!
this guy mentions the forums here …is he a member here ?..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg6wNw_uRu4
in the first episode , he is said to be a “foundling” , so I am guessing he was adopted into the Mandalorian culture around the time of the Clone Wars . The Clone Wars animated series by Filoni as well as Rebels , also dive deep into Mandalorian history and lore .
