Happy New year ! even if I still don’t have my flying car and this is not the Jetsons future I hoped for as a kid .
Happy New year ! even if I still don’t have my flying car and this is not the Jetsons future I hoped for as a kid .
Just because someone prefers some SE stuff doesn’t mean they don’t want the OUT released.
this doesn’t change the fact that I am still baffled by someone preferring this particular SE change on a site that was explicitly created to preserve and promote/petition for the original theatrical versions of the Original Trilogy .
what truly baffles me is that anyone would argue in favor of the Hayden force ghost on a site that was explicitly created to preserve and promote/petition for the original theatrical versions of the Original Trilogy .
If you’re gonna argue that, I found it extremely jarring as a child the first time I saw the pre-SE version of RotJ with some weird old guy in the place of Anakin.
^ and I am going to guess here that you only saw that pre-SE version after you saw the SE version .
this is a place for Star Wars charity links like this one that are a FORCE for good in the world . From the home page " Welcome to the home page of R2-KT: the pink droid with the heart of gold. Built by the R2 Builders as a gift for Katie, the droid was her constant companion as she battled brain cancer. Today the droid is on a mission to spread awareness of pediatric illnesses, partner with charities to make a difference, and help spread the magic of hope. " http://www.r2kt.com/
^ I just watched this and it’s great to see some of the original comics creators get recognition ! here is an older podcast interview with Jo Duffy …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVU0Dz9t1kQ
^ you beat me to that post Tobar ! Ever since reading that novel and the original Marvel series , I wanted to see an army of Mandalorians in live action . I was hoping we would see that in the prequels long before they came out and am guessing many fans did too .
^ awesome ! keeping the dream alive !
^ very cool ! I have Radar Men From The Moon on vhs ! Found it in an antique store for 3 bucks last year . It is the 12 part serial that introduced Commando Cody !
I have loved every minute of this series and the finale was awesome ! Live action Deathwatch Mando’s ,and the darksaber from Clone Wars ! Ig-11 was great and I look forward to seeing where the series goes from here . I wonder if baby Yoda will end up making his way to Luke in the end . I had a thought (probably wrong ) that maybe the yadpole is a sort of reincarnation . Yoda was very much inspired by Zen Bhuddism and Eastern philosophy according to Irvin Kershner , and reincarnation factors into Bhuddism . Maybe yadpole is a reincarnated Yoda after all and the 50 year old thing is just "from a certain point of view " .If not , my other thing to speculate on is , where was he during the prequels and OT ?
^ wow man , I never knew Chewbacca’s wife was so kinky !
ok ,as it stands for me as of now, it may change over time but the OT will ALWAYS be my top 3
here is how I did it incorporating the sequel trilogy

Merry Christmas ! May The Force Be With You…Always .
^ in the U.S. the 2004 DVD set of the OT SE was released in both full screen and wide screen . one was in a gold package, the other silver , similar to the 97 SE vhs box sets .
May The Force Be With You …always . Merry Christmas !

Y’all approach Star Wars differently than I, and glean enjoyment from it differently, and I can live with that.
^ this part of your post was probably one of the most respectful and civil things I have read in this entire thread .Kudos to you for that .
This movie seems like a loose adaption of the Dark Empire comics to me. The whole Palpatine arc looks to be directly taken from that.
^ I thought this too …Palpatine even says the same line about it not being the first time he died . That also looked like Pinnacle base that Poe flew the Falcon through while skipping through hyperspace.
saw it today and really enjoyed it over all …the 30 minutes of trailers and ads beforehand kind of put me in a frustrated mood though . The first 40 minutes or so had me thinking the film felt more like a coda than a finale…until Han showed up …then I was emotionally invested and Liked the way the legacy characters were handled . John Williams musical score and reprisal of OT motifs played a big part in my enjoyment . I knew he was playing on my emotions through the music and let it flow through me anyway . I teared up in more than a few places…Luke lifting the X-Wing at last , The main Star Wars theme playing when Lando brought the massive ,massive fleet of allies in which filled the entire frame . I saw the promo shot of a bunch of ships, but this was even better than I expected, also got spine tingles at the end scene at the Lars homestead . John Williams really is a genius ! other random thoughts…I really thought from the publicity images that that medallion that Zori Bliss had was going to be from the back of Threepio’s head and contain a lot of unrevealed info for the characters. This may have been touched upon elsewhere, and it made me scratch my head even in TFA…in the original movie , Han says travelling through hyperspace aint like dusting crops and without precise calculations from the navicomputer , they could bounce too near a star or hit a supernova and that would end their trip real quick . Does this no longer apply , or has there been upgrades to hyperspace tech in the 30 year interim ? At least they did show a lot of damage to the Falcon after Poe’s hyperspace skipping.Speaking of that hyperspace skip scene … was that a nod to Dark Empire and pinnacle base they flew through ? That is the way I saw it . And there was also a nice nod to Ralph Mcquarrie’s art in that sequence. Also , when the Emperor said it was not the first time he died , I interpreted that as a nice nod to Dark Empire as well . He said the same line in that comic ! Anyway , I think it was a nice end to the Skywalker saga and enjoyed all of the applause it got in the screening I attended . May The Force Be With You …Always !
^ that is some great artwork ! Dark Horse published spectacular Manga editions of all three OT films . Someone should start a Dark Horse Star Wars comics thread ! 😃
^ that would make an awesome blanket ! The top right panel of Vader is actually the last page of issue 62 which was titled Pariah . It is not in the picture here , but at the bottom of the page there was a footnote by the creators of the comic which said…We DARE YOU not to by the next issue ! That issue was part of my all time favorite story line outside of the films and the one directly after the issue I took my screen name from .
this sums up my thoughts on the film and the fan base very well. To the creator of this video, I say Kudos and drop the mic dude ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2cBTLsWiDg&fbclid=IwAR1lUEbfBOn5Yr2VPJSfqaLPzlQf5WDqjUQEZEfG46_WMcctzcbjJqODgoI

nah, I think this is a legitimate thing to bring up here .(well, except for the TROS speculation) And yeah, Shopping Maul , you are right ! I never NOTICED that before either !
