And regarding the jerky video it could be two things:

1. I only rendered that clip in WMV so it's not 100% quality and it's also only in 2.1 audio.

2. Perhaps it's your video card?

I did notice the shaky video on YouTube but the WMV isn't too noticeable. Again, I didn't render that clip in 100%. In Vegas it looks fine so no worries. ;)

It has nothing to do with the video card, but the framerate of the clip. I could happen if you're working in 23.976 fps and exported to 29.97 fps for example. Or if your source is not IVTC'ed and you're editing in 29.97. You SHOULD be working in 23.976 fps.

It looks very promising. A very nice atmosphere you've created.

A few niggles:

When your A-man logo zooms on screen it doesn't line completely up with the static version and there's a jump when that appears.

No offense meant, but I really didn't like that 'ave maria' bit. Felt a bit pretentious to me, and I don't like the religious connotations. But maybe it's just me lol :) As I said, no offense meant.

Could just be the clip, but in mplayer it plays slightly out of sync.

Again, possibly just the clip, but it seems your video is not (properly) ivtc'ed, or there is some other interlace issue? Most noticeable right after the interior shot when the building passes on the left and the pan at the landing pad. It looks jerky.

Star Wars DVD Covers

Ok, I'm working on a rotj one that will be about 1600x2200.. Using the vhs scan and expanding it.

The clean esb I have is 958x1323.

I always use my own server as I hate those hosting sites with a passion ;)

Edit: Ok, since I can't seem to put photoshop down here's my rotj ones.. One cropped and two expanded w/both blue and green saber.

I like the latter ones best, though they're not perfect - needs more work. For those I used the vhs scan someone posted earlier as a base and expanded the sides.

My esb for reference.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Here's an idea for a possible design for the exterior of the cloud city building with the window...

Rough sketch:

I thought maybe the 'light shaft' would end in a dome, and there'd be 4 or 5 apartment/penthouse 'pods' around it... There could be elevator shafts or something between the pods if needed. Building continues to the right of course.

I took some of planet's detail from vader's arrival to executor so the planet isn't total black. also i thought the lens flare is a bit odd.

I don't think it's supposed to be a lens flare but something like the 'diamond ring' solar eclipse phenomenon.

Da Nao Tian Gong -- The Monkey King - Uproar In Heaven (1965) RESTORATION v2 (Released)
Time

Glad you liked it! :)
And thanks again for sharing your recording, it makes this preservation that little bit more complete.

On another note, hopefully (knock on wood, fingers crossed etc.) HOPEFULLY we have a couple of translators on board.
So with a bit of luck the entire series may be done.

Hope I didn't just jinx it! ;)

Da Nao Tian Gong -- The Monkey King - Uproar In Heaven (1965) RESTORATION v2 (Released)
Time

Possibly.
These are the episodes I know of from Shanghai Animation Film Studio:
1941 Tie Shan Gong Zhu (Princess Iron Fan)
1958 Zhu Bajie eats a watermelon (cutout animation)
1964 Da Nao Tian Gong (Uproar in Heaven / The Monkey King)
1981 Sun Wu Kong Tou Chi Ren Shen Guo (Ginseng Fruit)
1985 Jin Hou Xiang Yao (The Monkey King Conquers the Bone Demon)
198? Sun Wu Kong Da Zhan Huo Yan Shan
198? Sun Wu Kong Yu San Jian Bao
198? Sun Wu Kong Qi Yu Xiao Ding Ding

The problem is that besides some of the episodes being very difficult to obtain, most have no subtitles of any kind. And unfortunately I don't know anyone who could translate them... I think there are 4 ~40mins eps with only Mandarin audio and no subs. So for those to happen I would definitely need a translator...

I still plan to do (at least) Ginseng Fruit and the alternate versions I have of The Monkey King Conquers the Bone Demon, not sure when I will get around to it though.

Also there's this:
1979 Ne Zha Nao Hai / Nezha Conquers the Dragon King / Little Nezha Fights Great Dragon Kings (BBC title)

Not the Monkey King, but it's very nice. The Chinese dvd is actually very good, but it's only the fullscreen version. I have a copy of the theatrical/widescreen version (not super great quality, but still) and hope to do that as well at some point, and also include the BBC dub.

Star Wars 5.1 Audio
Time

Once you have your center channel with the voices and some background noises/music (hopefully the voices are somewhat louder than the rest), a quick way to 'cut out' the words is to use a 'gate' audio plugin and tweak it to only let the voices pass... and then add some ambience/reverb/echo again as needed as mentioned above.

Here should be a couple of free noise-gate plugins, haven't used them myself though.
