Boba's post included an image of a cover that was done for ADigitalMan's Ep4 edit, with the credits box at the bottom of the back panel highlighted for emphasis. It appears to be more or less identical to what OBtwosy used, with some modifications. I don't believe OB meant for that to be final, I get the impression it was just a temporary placeholder. He's mentioned that it's a work in progress and that he intends to replace that section.

I'm am totally curious as to what Ady is painting though.
Yes. Ady's will be what I use as the "official" cover, so as to maintain his vision of the complete package. But I think I'll print yours out as an alternate cover.

I did too, but I'm pretty sure it was meant as a joke. Leaving it in would really disrupt the flow of that scene. But I believe Ady said it would be included in the bonus material on the DL disc.
Last night I watched the first half of the edit alongside the 2004 NTSC, Wookiee-Groomer style. That was fun. I can't count the number of times I looked at the DVD and thought, "Damn that's awfully blue!" The other side of that is the number of times I looked at the edit and thought, "Damn, that's awfully gray," but that's a matter of personal taste and I respect Ady's choices on that matter. Regardless of degree, it's still a considerable improvement over the DVD's palette. As I watched, I'm sure I still didn't catch every change, but every change I caught felt like a genuine upgrade to me. I remain impressed, viewing after viewing. Great work, Ady.
Originally posted by: adywan I really think that i'm going to keep my ESB Revisited as a private project because you are really gonna hate some of the changes in that. When you see all the Gungans hiding out in Dagobah, the scene with Darth vaders personal masseur, Luke's new line on Dagobah - " get these mutha fuckin snakes of my mutha fuckin X-Wing", Tha Wampa musical number and Lando's new afro you are gonna flip.
Or the scene where Vader cuts off Luke's hand, the shot cuts to the floor and it's a flipper.

So you enlisted your wife to take the photos for that shot? I think that would be the first time in history a husband has given his wife a hand job! [rimshot]
Originally posted by: beckmen I am surprised so many people didn't love the added shot of the TIEs. Right now it's not only my favorite addition of Ady's, but one of my favorite moments in the film! I hope he kept the feel of the shot intact when he revised it for the DVDs.
I agree completely. I was impressed with all of Ady's alterations, but that was the one shot where I said, "Ho... ly... sheeee-it!" I got a sense of a genuine threat, I think it's a great shot.
Originally posted by: beckmen The wormhole stuff is great, but the lighting on the actors doesn't really match as well as it could.
Actually this was one change I hadn't anticipated and thought it was really cool. the blue-shifted color with the mottled sky/wormhole through the windows. I was watching and all of a sudden said, "whoa! sweet!"
It's funny, I was skipping through the avi randomly, and I stumbled across this shot of Han and Leia in the cockpit, and I noticed they're kinda blue-ish. I skipped to another shot of the cockpit for comparison, and my first thought was "Oh no, Ady forgot to de-blue-ify this scene!" Then I watched the entire scene, realized it was wormhole glow, and was much relieved. I think it works great!

Compare the following two phrases:
"Could you remove my name from the credits? Nothing personal, I'd just rather not be listed. Thanks."
"I don't support this project, nor did I give you permission to include my name in the end titles. Please remove it."
One is a polite request, while the other is a brusque demand coupled with an unnecessarily antagonistic aside. When you figure out which is which, you'll begin to understand the reactions to your post.
Originally posted by: Sluggo Neil's request was calm, it was the reaction of about everybody else that was frantic.
You're absolutely correct. It was a perfectly calm delivery of a cease-and-desist order in an open forum, coupled with a public repudiation of the entire project. Spiteful, rude, and better handled privately, but certainly calm.
Originally posted by: adywan Sorry, the credits were locked and finished an hour ago
That's too bad, it would have been nice to see a big credit right at the end: "Dedicated to Neil S. Bulk, who fully supports this project and specifically asked for his name to be put in the credits."

My brother-in-law does. It's where I host my annual film festival. 24 powered recliners, totally stylin'. I've been considering screening ANH at one of my festivals ever since Darth Editious's edit came out, but I decided to wait for Ady's. But of course I won't be waiting until September to put it up on the big screen.
Don't let 'em get you down, Ady. (And if anything I contributed came off as bashing, I sincerely apologize.) Yours is unquestionably the ultimate version of ANH. Sure, there's always going to be commentary, there are always going to be those who would respectfully suggest different approaches, and there will be a few who are not so respectful. But at the end of the day, you need to be happy with it. Anyone who threatens to make you unhappy with it... tune 'em out. There's more than enough kudos going around to drown out the few party poopers.
As for the flipper thing... I hereby pledge never to mention it again. Everything that needs to be said about it (and then some) has been said. Whatever you decide to go with is the way it should be.
As for ESB & ROTJ... forget about it. You've had your head so deep in this for so long, it's best for you (and for any SW projects you take on in the future) to just step away from it. If your enthusiasm level revives in time, and you feel like taking on ESB, that's great. And if not, that's fine too. It's not worth doing if you can't relax and have fun with it.
