I also hate the fact that Communism is tarred by the brush of those who abused and distorted it for evil (Stalin, etc) when the ideology itself is a good one. Here's a thought - read a book about the actual ideology of Communism, not the people who jumped on it.

And if any one of you now decides to call me a 'Commie' you will be proving my point, so don't bother.

I prefer the term Agno-Anarchist, but I enjoy when people call me liberal or communist thinking they're cursing me. Proves how stupid they are about the subject.

I've decided to share with you guys the audio of Chuck Palahniuk (author of books such as Invisible Monster and Fight Club) reading a short story from his latest book, Haunted (which I unfortunally wasn't able to find here). It's called "Guts", and it's about 20 minutes long.

WARNING - WARNING - WARNING
This story is very disturbing, to the point in which several people have been reported to faint while listening to it. I didn't, but I felt pretty nauseated. If you're younger than 18 DO NOT LISTEN. Hope you enjoy it.

I don't think the rules accept cameos as "himself" or stock footage as movie appearences. I belive Bossk knows about this more than I do...

Besides, I think we did Hitler before... Godwin's law strikes again?

except that 40 year old virgin is actually getting people to go see it, and if you read the article you would see it was classified as a success. Also im pretty sure it took #1 for the box office the weekend it came out. Though they also called Fantastic Four a success, not sure how well it did in the box office, but honestly I thought it was entertaining...it was no x-men or spiderman, but it was decent (ie better than a lot of the crap that gets released)

I wasnt referring to this films as failures, but as pieces of crap that are currently on the theaters.

I hate that.

I hate that you hate that I hate that you hate me for hating that people hate what... ohhh forget it, it's got too silly now.

Chaltab I'm too lazy to quote your previous post, but, isn't there anything AT ALL you agree with Mr. Moore?

now I'm If the Superman I & II are to be used as backround for this movie then by definition, its a sequel. Either their part of the same universe are they aren't.

I think casting Spacey as Luther was a great move. I can see him doing very well in the part.

I think this Superman is supposed to be the remake of an idealized sequel. Get it?

About Spacey: I don't like casting him, not because of his acting - which is great btw - but because it kinda carrer-damaging. He'll probably do it like he did in Usual Suspects, off-key pseudo-villain guy.

Wait, aren't they related?

Hmnn no, I've never seen Bond absolutely drunk, laying on the floor half-naked singing Charlie's Angles theme song.

GAH! Back on topic! Casino Royale? Yes or no?

Drinking is basically stupid.

No its not. Drinking too much is stupid. Drinking to solve your problens is stupid. Drinking to get drunk is stupid. Drinking and then driving, flying, etc is stupid. But so long as you are not an alcoholic, I see no problem having a couple drinks every once in a while. Just keep it within reason.

I agree, but when the PERSON is stupid, as in my case, as a consequence drinking anything at all is stupid. I really can't say I'll NEVER drink again, but after what happened last night, you can be sure I won't drink for a long time. A lesson to you kids out there, DON'T drink half a bottle of Vodka in 2 minutes in an empty stomach, SPECIALLY when you don't usually drink. I swear I feared for my life, it has been 24 hours and I'm still drowsy and sick to my stomach.

BUT! ENOUGH of this. This is the Bond thread, not the stupid alcohoolic tricks thread. So lemme think about something to say related to Bond.

So, although we don't have any info about the new Bond, is the next movie confirmed to be Casino Royale?

OK, so if Ashton Kutcher and Paris Hilton as Luke and Leia stared in a re-make of A New Hope, featuring a remixed version of the Star Wars theme song by Daft Punk, wouldn't you be a little offended? Same here.

Kevin Kline? If you ask me, no one can do Sellers justine. No one could get any where near close. No One Those that try should be arrested and given long prison sentences.

I agree. And using Henry Mancini's score is also blasphemous. Hopefully it'll one big bomb.

Hey... If it wasn't for IBM, Windows would be OS/2. It was developed by Microsoft and since it didnt have a commercial success, it was abandoned. A friend of mine had OS/2, he said that you could open the file manager and WATCH as the free space on disk got slowly lower, even though the user was not doing anything at all - kinda like watching a sunset, only not as fun or beautiful.
