Dayv if that's true, that's one of the most f***ed up things I've ever heard someone witnessing... Sorry...

I've also seen some gory stuff, but on video, not live. The first time I've seen someone dead with my own eyes I was 18... Seen 4 people dead on the street or road on the past few months though... Perhaps it's God warning me that if I don't slow down when driving, I'm next.

I'm not sure how much would it cost, not really that much, perhaps US$20.00 for shipping and taxes or something like that, but... The problem would be the dollar - real cotation, although the dollar has dropped down considerably recently, a book would cost me two and a half times more than usual if I buy it from the US. So you get the idea, it would cost me the "equivalent" of US$100 or more - not really the equivalent, it would be really US$45 or something, but that's how much it would "cost" me comparing how much things cost around here.

Same here. Although I was still sick because of that vodka incident I mentioned previously, so I don't know how much was Palaniuk's, how much was the alcohool. Bossk, how good is the whole book? I've tried to find it here with no success, and it'd be quite expensive to import it - not to mention it would take a month or so...

No Episode III on VHS
Time
VHS is going to turn into what vinyl long play discs have become, an underground collector thing. There are still stores that sell LPs and some artists still release their albums in a limited LP pressing, for those who (correctly) belive they sound better than CDs.

It's a sad day for the VHS market, if anyone told me only 5 years ago that DVDs would replace VHS I would have laughed at them...

OK for those who are not able to listen to the wma I've posted, here is the transcript for it. But I'd prefer that you listen to the recording, Palahniuk's reading has a bigger impact. I mean, see what it did to Jaster Mareel... I felt pretty sick too, but after listening 2 other times, I feel nothing at all anymore.

In addition to being slated to write and direct this new Flash Gordon movie, Stephen Sommers (The Mummy 1999, The Mummy Returns 2001, and Van Helsing 2004) is slated to do an adaptation of Captain Marvel - the Power of SHAZAM. Just check Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) to see for yourselves.

Captain Marvel = Good...

Directed by Sommers = Oh crud!

Jesus Christ can't they come up with something new? they have to re-film stuff or use comic book characters because it's easier to make publicity?

Now, don't you also think that the movies are getting worse because the audience is dumbing down? I mean, if you want to be surrounded by idiots just go see one of these comedies like Scary Movie, which is one of the WORSE movies ever imagined - let alone produced. I blame the Wayans and the producers of American Pie-like comedies.

scary movie was made to be bad, every single thing in the movie was made to be cliche and stolen thats why its funny cause it makes fun of bad movies.

No, no. A movie made to BE bad was "Freddy Got Fingered". "Scary Movie" WAS bad.

I hate it when those little refridgerators they have in hotels with key-locks don't have anything in them.

dont you have to pay to use those? ive never used them myself, but last time i was at a hotel with them it had a price list on the front with highly overpriced beverages.

When I did some business trips I'd buy those plastic bottled water, and since I wouldn't drink it all, I would leave the bottle there. I always expected a refund, since I added to the fridge, and didn't take any of those mini-drinks or coke cans out of there. I never drink those things in hotels, I mean, if you don't drink it what do you think it'll happen? they'll leave it there for the next guest, and who knows what the last one did with the coke cans or the glasses...

Somehow, the idea of Microsoft created security program doesn't instill a great deal of confidence in me. I laughed when I first heard they were building it in the first place.

I'm happy with AdAware.

Although it's not exactly theirs - well, DOS and Windows are not theirs either - it's actually good. And by good, I mean "it works".
