Books you would like to make into movies.
Time
Chaltab, I'm quite sure this is not a fiction book, which would be hard to adapt to a feature film, unless you mean as a documentary?

Anyway, I'd like to see you putting into practice the teachings of such book (who's the author?) with me. If you want to try out what you've learned in this book with someone, I volunteer. As long as you don't ask me to shut up and to cut off my microphone...

What is your gas at?

Now, I've seen on the news that the gas will probably cost 40% more in a month time in the US. Now, places like Brazil are pretty much self-suficients on petrol, but I've noticed that our price is quite the same as the american. Do you guys think that a raise in the oil price at the US might increase the price in other parts of the world? I mean, it dosen't make sense geographically for such rise to happen, since our oil refinaries and oilducts were not at all affected, but... What I'm asking is, are the prices "connected" in some way? Like a carthel or something?

"Mein Kampf", a computer-animated musical adaptation. Just kidding.

A local book I belive not a single one of you heard of, called "O Homem que Matou Getúlio Vargas" wrote by Jô Soares, about a extremely bad lucked and clumsy anarchist from the eastern europe, which was born with one extra finger in his hands, and was trainned in a secret assassin school during the late 1800s early 1900s. He gets involved in every single violent moment in history but in a funny way, like almost starting WW1 (he missed the shot that Gavrillo Princip did in Franz Ferdinand), being part of the Chicago mafia in the 30s, and eventually heading to Brazil, where he tries several times to kill our then-president Getúlio Vargas, which was a distant relative of him. It's like what "Forrest Gump" would be if wrote as a comedy by Chuck Palahniuk. The author (Jô Soares) recievd several proposals of turning his book into a movie, to which he declined.

There was an interesting case of a local man, who was in the army during the early or mid 80s (cant remember) and actually came up with an idea for using water as a fuel to move cars, more specifically the army jeep cars. He was working at the project, which according to some people involved at the project at that time, was technologically possible. Suddenly, he and his projects dissapeared, people involved never mentions it, and the media never speaks about him. I've read about this case a long time ago and I thought it was not true (the article mentioned the man was in a mental institution), but a college teacher of mine later confirmed it.

Warbler, I'd like to apply for a job at your company. First, where do I send my resume? What kind of job are you offering? What sort of skills do you need? You are hiring people with previous experiences in the field you work on, or are you offering training? What kind of payments are you planning to offer? Monthly workers? Hourly? Is the job to be taken by a direct employee, or you're planning on user contracted vendors? Does it offer medical? Dental? Payed vacations? Is there a good carrier plan? Do you invest in your employees future? Are there other benefits, such as stock options? Do you invest in further training? Are there going to be business trips, and if so, how often? Can I work from a home office? Do you have an union? C'mon, details man!

The Things We Hate And Love Thread .
Time
I know. It was a joke. I'm still trying to get my laugh track to assist me. I have to wait for all those people who recorded their laughs to die, so I can legally use them. Did you know that the people who laugh at sitcoms are people that died in plane crashes? The TV networks use every laugh recorded in airplane black boxes and mix them together.

God I hate laugh tracks.
