120F is VERY hot, but I could stand it, it's not as bad as it sounds like. Have you ever been to a sauna? Like that, but without the humidity, so it's not that bad.

I remember thet day it was 30F I was FREACKING FREEZING! I have never seen more than half an inch of snow outside...

Where I live, even if it reached -100F, it would never snow, because our winter is dry. There is no humidity to form snow.

Other than a running Ric gag?

There was a big thread about this in the past. If I remember correctly, Ric was fascinated, yet frightened of this concept.

Exactly. Soon after that I was able to find one, and did 2 pizzas with it. The first one was not so good, the second one was OK, but I belive the pizza stone did little to nothing in contributing to the pizza flavor.

Since this pizza stone discussion originated in a totally unrelated thread, I mention it whenever we are getting away from the topic, or as a random "subject", hence, my little running gag.

I know, it's confusing watching Japanese TV, seeing the arabic numbers, and still hearing them say it in Japanese. I'm like, 'hey, that's not 'ichi', that's 'one'!'

The same way, I should say "Hey, that's not 'one', that's 'um'!"

Wow, we did it again, gone completely out of the topic. We just did a pizza stone. You see, like the expression "jumping the shark", I use "pizza stone" to refer to ocasions when we go waaay off topic, which is a common practice here... That comes from a discussion about pizza stones I had on a totally unrelated thread.

What are your 10 best/worst character names from the SW movies?
Time
Top 10

Number 10:
10: Master Sifo Dias. I've explained about that one twice before.
9: Leia Organa, sound good enough.
8: Yoda.
7: Luke Skywalker, now I never liked his name because it was too "earth-like", but ah... It's Luke!
6: C3PO, sounds good, and it's an easy name to remember.
5: R2D2, same as threepio.
4: Han Solo
3: Darth Vader. Need I say more?
2: Qui-Gon Jin. It sounds great.
And in 1: Obi-Wan Kenobi - God only knows how he came up with this...!

Ten worst

10: Chewbacca. Nothing against the character! It's the name I dislike.
9: Anakin Skywalker, since ROTJ, I never liked that name
8: Watto.
7: Panaka. I've also mentioned this one before. It means "jerk", "idiot" in portuguese (c instead of k).
6: Biggs. Sounds like a british pilot from the WW1.
5: Porkins. Oh come ON!
4: Mon Mothma. What?
3: Mon Calamari. Oh, right, calamari. Very funny.
2: Shmi Skywalker. "Hello. My name is Shmi!" - "God bless you."
And the worst, at number 1: Jar Jar Binks. Although it WAS created by his infant child.

Personal Encounters?

To me, that's quite difficult. But I'd like to. Would be neat to get everyone together at a pub and have a few drinks and talk about, uh... pizza stones, and uh... underrated videogame consoles, and... let's see, uh... six degrees of star wars, and uh... dr gonzo edition, and... uh... well...

(pizza stone is my little running joke here)

Most Underrated Console System
Time
First, a note. I was sending this post, when I lost the connection and the computer crashed. I usually don't re-write when I lose something like this, specially a big post, but I felt I had to. So, anyway... *takes a big breath*

...GAAAAAHHHH!! My eyes are bleeding!! BLASPHEMY!! DOUBLE BLASPHEMY!!

The Atari was a CLASSIC console! Although I prefered the Intellevision.

The 3DO was an AWESOME console, and a great idea too: make an open format and allow other manufacturers to have one... The Panasonic was the best one! It had a great graphic engine for that time, a great video compression, and great games, why, it had a high-res version of Night Trap! The award winning "Twister"! The first versions of FIFA Soccer and Need for Speed were released for the 3DO! It had the best version of "The Incredible Machine"! It had good versions of Street Fighter Turbo! It had a brilliant way to allow 8 controllers into one console (the second controller was connected on the first one, and so on, up to 8).

I still remember when I first played the Neo Geo, in a sunny saturday afteroon in 1992, with a friend of mine, at a video store that allowed you to play consoles for a few bucks an hour. We had those huuge controllers on our small, 10 year old kids laps, and played Art of Fighting... I was in awe, playing that cool 32 bit console for the first time...

(*sigh* it's about 75% of what I've written previously... )
